I was at the almont league track n' field finals @ bell gardens h.s.-Alhambra high school's Zion Babb ran an incredible race in the 110mtr high hurdles. He ran an official time of 13.5- he will be competing next saturday at the CIF meet.Probably has a great shot in being the state champion.
It looks like my old school (Monrovia High) is doing pretty good in track again this season. it's great to see that. I attended the Invitational at APU this past weekend and was impressed not only with the overall team speed but mostly by both the boy's and girl's jumpers. Someone is doing a great job of coaching over there. Josh Walls a sophomore and Daro Johnson (I'm not sur what grade he is in) look like they could make an impact in CIF the next couple of years. Go Wildcats!
Jeshua Anderson now wishes to participate in the 300 IH setting a very race.
I would like to see a dual meet between Monrovia and Muir. I think It would very entertaining like back in the 70's and 80's.
your right I don't understand the rational that parents have sometimes. Monrovia's program had been the league doormat for years until about four or five years ago.
Monrovia looks to have a strong team again this year. I believe they have won the Rio hondo league the last three or four years. If I'm not mistaken Monrovia's fastest sprinter transfered to Cantwell Sacred Heart??? I don't know why, they arn't know for track. Monrovia's 4x1 would be outstanding with the addition of him along with Daro Johnson. Guess we will never know how that would have turned out.

The league champ is moreno, Arcadia. I think he will lose is title to Dunlap of Muir. It will be great to see.
ill be there thursday i cant wait to see this one!
Anonymous you seem to know a lot about muir runners sounds like you are a Arcadia fan Dunlap ran a 10.80 @ the cv duel meet and a 22.40 at that same meet no wind was indicated! also for information to you Dunlap is only a sophmore. Muir also has another sophmore that has run a 11.10 100M come to the duel meet at muir this thursday and see what dunlap can do aganist the league champ from arcadia. should be interesting.
dunlap of muir ran a 11.2 with the wind to his back and a 23.4 also with the wind to his back
also, is that 10.8 for 100 meters or 100 yards??
Andrew Pilavjian just ran the 2nd fastest time in the state in the 3200 meters at the APU Distance Meet of Champions this past weekend. His time of 9:12.16 was good enough for second place, behind the current state leader.
thats the girls 4x100
it is 10.80 also Muirs 4x100 relay ran 48.14 @ the Ghar relays back in early march first meet that should lead the area.
No, it's 10.8. Fastest in the area for a while was probably Sultan MuCullough Muir in 1997 he ran a 10.26 which was a top in the nation. 10.08 is close to world class.
I think it is 10.8
wow a 10.08 100m...
seems unlikely
These marks don't include Thursday's results.
THESE CANT BE THE BEST OF THE AREA BECAUSE MARKUS MONROE FROM MONROVIA JUMPED 42"5 IN THE TRIPLE JUMP AGAINST BLAIR THRUSDAY
