Finally, a little blog control ...
This note was sent by our blog supervisor ...
There is a change to your blog that will block comments that contain any obscenities. If a commenter does use an obscenity, the comment needs approval before it's published. It would be a good idea to inform your readers to refrain from using obscenities in their comments or else the comments won't show up on the web site.

Don't think you can dance around this either. Any comments that I feel are inappropriate will also be deleted. Let's keep a clean and constructive blog that everyone can enjoy!

Cool site. Thanks!!!

Sriously,
Please help us on the softball page. Someone is seriously terrorizing it.
Hi:
where's my volleyball blog. I really miss it.
Sincerely,
nobody
Fred,
Help us with an evil person on the softball page.
this is good news, it will keep the interest up and leave out the haters.
now how about getting rid of that Volleyball post on April 22?
Albert, I was number 55 a while back. I saw you play against TC. While we were not victorious, I liked your level of play. You made me and my brothers proud. From one double-nickles to another, keep it going.
Fred, thanks for putting up my message.
Thanks Todd, it was probably one idiot writing all that stuff. Real sports fans know what an exciting sport volleyball is to watch and play. Good luck to your team the rest of the season.
Thanks Fred for putting the controls up. We're really thankful and excited about the Volleyball Blog, but we were dissapointed that some of the first responses to Volleyball featured words like "gay" "special olympics" etc. My team wasnt really excited about the comments and Scott G. told me he was "Bummed" about the intial response as well. Instead of blowing up about the negative comments (a college team that's been in the news lately), our team at South Pas used it as motivational tool and we had one of the best team laughs of the season at the expense of those comments. Everyone on our top 10 in CIF DIV 4 ranked team from the 10th graders to the seniors all know how much time, work, off-season club and athletic talent etc that you have to have to play this game well. Over the 18 years Ive been at South Pas, I cant tell you how many high profile football and basketball players have come out for the team thinking it was easy and then come to me saying that they cant believe how tough the sport is to play at a competitive level.
that is very interesting Pasadenapreps.com
Jim M is eerily quiet...
The first thing I noticed when I saw that picture is that the defensive player had his head turned away from the ball.
Tom, that comment was from the cutline in today's newspaper. That was how our photographer described the action when turning in the photo. If he dropped it, he dropped it. It's not the end of the world. Everyone drops a ball now and then. There are errors at practically every game I cover. And if you're going to play sports, like winning and losing, you have to accept the good with the bad.
Fred:
It’s great to see that you’re instituting some controls over blog comments. This will keep the obscene comments off but you’ll still need to control the hateful remarks. Best of luck. Hope your enjoying your time off
Albert, I seen you play and you would help the west on the defensive side. I hope you get a shot at playing.
Fred:
In regards to the Poly v Prep pictures comments. Aren’t you being a bit harsh with calling out Prep’s #15 name and what appears to me to be questionable plays. The photo on the front page says “drops the ball in the second inning Tuesday.” You can’t tell if he is dropping the ball or making a catch on a late throw. You know this kid has to live with these comments.
Sorry Albert, I didn't get the message, I'm on vacation this week. You should call Maranatha coach Joel Murphy and let him know you're interested. He can be reached at 626-817-4000, Ext. 1925.
