Where do you get your stats from? Certainly not Maxpreps because Mr. Paranoid (aka Mike Solar) doesn't want to give his opponents an edge.

Hey, fyi post,
Solar left one season too late. After beating Loyola on their home field the previous week, Solar kept the team after practice for "field maintenance" until 10:00 at night on the eve of the Loyola home game. That is but one small example of weird things he did all season. It was almost like he did not WANT to go to playoffs because it would be too much stress on HIM...

So cool for Loyola to win! I thought it might be Crespi. Go Mission League!

The Mission is a good league. The St. Francis/Alverno Boys School is outclassed in that league. (obvious-based on recent performances)

You know whoever keeps leaving these quotes about the "Alverno Boys school" is a coward. First, Alverno is not even St. Francis' sister school. Flintridge Sacred Heart is. And second, I would love to see what the likes of Joe De Pinto, Evan Simonitsch, Luke Collis, and Matt Quintero would say about being out classed. De Pinto is headed to USC, led the entire league in hitting with a 512 average, and led the league with the most hits overall at 22. And if this person happens to be a Loyola fan, well Joe owns you guys. He went 7-7 with two walks in the series against Loyola this year. He along with Simonitsch, Collis, and Quintero, were all league selections. Collis happened to beat Loyola 10-3 AT LOYOLA THIS YEAR. So stop talking about being at classed and show some class by having respect.

Well there you have it. A Mission League team wins CIF. Not to mention that Loyola beat Crespi, another Mission League team, in 8 innings in the semifinals. If this does not prove how good Mission League is than I don't know what does. P.S. St. Francis split with Loyola this season beating them 10-3 in the first game of their series. Loyola won the second game 17-5...Yikes. But still, not bad taking one of two from the CIF Champs. Hate on that.

Of course Loyola would dominate a small private school and most small public high schools.

Everybody in the SGV knows Loyola has good athletes. We also know that they are very successful in recruiting whats left of the best athletes that Oaks Christian is not interested in.
