San Gabriel looks to improve on 3-7 mark
San Gabriel High School is surrounded by strong teams in the Almont League, Alhambra, Bell Gardens and, of course, defending CIF champion Schurr.
We caught up with the Matadors to get their outlook for the upcoming season.

Very Interesting Information! Thank You For Thi Post!

I thought it was going to be some boring old post, but it really compensated for my time. I will post a link to this page on my blog. I am sure my visitors will find that very useful.

SG is going to be good. Coach OLIVA's offense will score points. And A lot of them! The defense, is a question mark. but with 10 returning defensive players it should be on point. Coach bernard has all the experience and talent he needs to stop the run.

San Gabriel does not deserve any ink Scott. Please focus on real teams not on pretenders. They won't even win two games all season. Please stop writing out of pity. Might as well write about Mark Keppel too because i guarantee they will beat San Gaybriel this year. SG looked like a JV team

One thing to bear in mind is that Scott is trying to cover a lot of area and stories with very limited resources. He is bring his style to the blog, and I think he is trying to spread things around. We did not hear much about Alhambra or San Gabriel last season, so what is wrong with bringing us up to date if they are in the Star News coverage area? I am sure we will be hearing more about other teams as the season progresses. Let's let Scott do his job!!

OK...I agree. Give the FNG a chance to make this blog bounce again.

I guess some guys just aren't happy unless its all about them and their interest. Covering the West San Gabriel Valley is a big job that encompasses many schools and the Star News is striving to improve their coverage. Keep up the good work Scott.

have you not read! SG, I mean Scott G is doing a great job. If you scroll down Monrovia, Pasadena, and Muir are the opening blogz!! I think thats Pasadena area, or at least the teams that make any NOISE!^*)(*^*&&%%%*@^$%$$^#

Get off Galetti's back, Anon 9:21...

Did he break-up with your sister, or something?

And pick a name...gutless...punk.

I'm rooting for someone competent to cover high school sports for the Star News.

Anon 9:36. Again, a geography lesson, the Star News office, according to the map, is actually closer to San Gabriel and Alhambra High Schools than the likes of Temple City and Monrovia. So yes, the Almont League happens to be one of the leagues that we cover.
Which team are you rooting for?

Wow...more Almont League coverage. The Alhambra/San Gabriel thing seems to be taking over this Pasadena area blog...we need a new blog site that focuses on true Pasadena area sports.
