PREP SPORTS WRITERS NEEDED
Here's the deal, we're always looking for correspondents to cover Friday night football games. We generally don't ask that you write too much, and in some cases will just ask that you call in the box score with a recap of the game. You will receive a press pass to cover the games from the sidelines or in the press box, and be paid a small fee for your time. If you're a journalism major or thinking about it, this is ideal. Melendez worked as a correspondent for the San Gabriel Valley Tribune for three years and later landed a job as a freelance writer at the Los Angeles Times before accepting an offer at The Orange County Register covering high schools. Melendez covered Major League Soccer at The Register for three years before being promoted to report on the Lakers, Angels and Dodgers for the Web. That's what impresses me about Moore's coverage. Even when I expect him to use words like trounced or manhandles he pulls back. Chances are he exhibits the least bias of any "coorespondant" I read and a review of his prior work will validate what I am saying.
SGV Fan, It was my understanding that we were supposed to get updates from Ohio.

Scott: Do you need someone to cover the SGV All Star team competing in Ohio? Disappointing to have no coverage after game #1 last night. Had to get the Glendale News Press to get the update. Thanks!
