Just saw the Blair Highlights at their little webcast and it looks like they did a good job. I still have them at number 7 on my local poll.

Losing a year is expensive. Did you consider other private schools? You mentioned that you looked at SF.

New York, No way, we still live here in Sierra Madre. My son gave up a year of varsity to go to Los Altos, per C.I.F. rules at the time. We didnt like giving up a year of varsity eligibility but we we were not going to move to Hacienda Heights for football.

New York said:

Oh Well,
Did you move to Hacienda Heights as well? Good luck.

Scott,

No problem, thanks for fixing it.

South pass, don't hang on to last year, Alhambra's gonna win big at home.

New York, Parents are going to take their kids where they are going to get the best chanch to show case their abilties. My kid because of his size was not going to get that chanch at the school he chose to go to as a freshman. It would of been nice to go to school out here. We live Sierra Madre. But as things worked out we ended up at Los Altos. WE had tried to get into St. Francis first, but they said no more room! He had the grades to get in, Oh well!. The freshman football coach said to me at that time that they had some one better already. I guess he he did'nt like his size. It's ok, Things have been great for him at Los Altos. All in all it should be a good game.

Stang Fan,

The economist in me tells me that the free market will sort things out. If Muir becomes a place where kids want to go to school and play football, then the players will stay home. BUT, the sappy homer in me says that it would be awesome if kids played ball for their neighborhood. When you read Friday Night Lights...those kids were proud to represent Permian. I can't imagine all the transfers at the East SGV schools playing for school and town pride vs. playing for the scouts. But hey, the free markets are working in the favor of the schools and coaches that win titles and send kids to college. It's tough to argue against that.

Shady: It should be up now. The link got switched and with everything else going on, I was unaware. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Galetti, the link to the S. Pas v Alhambra story is dead.

103am - post was NOT MADE BY GOLDENARM.

When forging at least capitalize like Goldenarm always does. Better yet, just use your name.

you cant be serious about the TC-Rosemead score...??

NY:

You know how it is, these east teams get kids from all over the area. Matter of fact, the two players from Charter Oak who took part in the last minute victory over Glendora (Kanaan Snowden-RB and Mikey Harrell-WR) both currently live in Altadena and theoretically should be attending Muir.

New York said:

It just seems odd that Los Altos gets so many good players. Their population does not reflect the number of D-1 names coming out of that school.

los altos....is that good! these boys can play. that kid brigem hartwell (please excuse the spelling) who is playing at UCLA right now went to los altos. arcadia actually reminds me of los altos this year. i think L.A. will take this game

Blair Alumnus said:

Los Altos should take care of St. Francis.
Alhambra looks better than South Pas and will win with a comfortable lead.
And Blair is put to the test in this one, but should be able to pull out a win against Whittier Christian
