Pasadena High School Proud Bulldogs vs. John Muir High School Mighty Mustangs
High School Football Rivalry Series Airs Thursday, September 13, 2007 at 10:30 PM
Los Angeles – FSN PRIME TICKET, the destination for the Toyota High School Football Game of the Week, the CIF-Southern Section Championships and the CIF Championships, is debuting a new FSN original series devoted to the passion and pagentry of high school football rivalries. “Crosstown Rivals” debuts on FSN PRIME TICKET on Thursday, September 13 at 10:30 PM following network coverage of the San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Dodgers, beginning at 6:30 PM.
The show takes sports fans to Pasadena, Calif., where, for 60 years, every November, the community divides itself into red and blue. The annual Turkey Tussle football game, held at Pasadena’s historic Rose Bowl, is played by the Pasadena High School (PHS) Proud Bulldogs and the John Muir High School (JMHS) Mighty Mustangs. During the program, PHS and JMHS alumni currently playing in the NFL share their memories of the “Tussle” while the coaches, students and their families detail every step of preparation along the way to earning the right to ring the Victory Bell.

would you rather have the tussle at 10% capacity at the rose bowl or at pcc with 100% capacity?
honestly, i dont think moving this to pcc isnt such a bad idea. if the city is spending/losing money on this game, then just give the money to the schools and move the game to pcc. robinson stadium is nothing to sneeze at! its a first class facility!
i understand the other side of it too. i know the rose bowl is the grand daddy of them all and i will never understand what the feeling of running out of that tunnel is but it may be something up for discussion.

Passion yes, but FSN may find the the pagentry lacking somewhat. The ancient concrete dust of the Rose Bowl just doesn't seem to shake loose without 90 thousand folks packed into it. Sounds like they will cover the tradition angle..which is great. Considering the changes and never-ending facelifts Pasadena continues to push..the mere fact the Tussle has endured this long is a positive thing, particularly for students of Muir and PHS. I am curious what former athletes are to be interviewed.
