Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

burbank n burrough are overrated but so is pasadena...Arcadia is going to win league
Burbank, why are you so concerned with Pasadena being dropped? Something personal? Give them a break. Who in your opinion is more deserving? The burbank teams aren't even in the PSN's area of coverage.
Mayfield won the Burbank tourney over Westridge.
I agree pas is overrated...and who won the annual arcadia tourney this past Saturday??
Where is the volleyball coverage on this big tourney???
Will Scott drop overated Pasadena from next weeks top 10? The best they will do is 3rd in the Pacific or maybe 4th if Burbank beats them Thursday.
Good point Scott. Match play is great, but given the CIF's limits on matches it's difficult to play alot of different teams outside of the league. Especially in an 8 school league.
While I'm not a big fan of the one-day tournaments, it does give teams the opportunity to play different style teams that they otherwise wouldn't get to see.
Why do high school have to play a single day tourney like club? Match play like college and international matches are more ideal for high school teams since CIF playoff is going to be best 3 out of 5 games. Therefore, one day tourney for high school teams should banned by CIF...high school teams are not club teams.
Which Orange County tournament are you speaking of? There is an all-star East vs. West game in Orange County. I've not heard of the tournament that you mentioned.
Pre-season, there is the Dave Mohs tournament at Newport that reads like a who's who of OC volleyball but, that's different.
What you typed earlier in the season was just silly. None of those teams are overrated because none of those schools have been hyped up.
All three are solid and getting better.
In your lowly opinion, who isn't overrated?
I agree with the idea of having a valley wide tournament for all the schools. I'd also like to see each league have a tournament. With so many girls playing club they are used to the tournament format and those girls who do not play club would gain that experience. I also think CIF needs to increase the amount of matches for the volleyball teams.
Maranatha is overrated according to what i typed in the blog a couple week ago...so is pasadena, and so is gabrielino
I disagree with the all star teams format...it is better to have an All San Gabriel Valley Championship Tournament ...similiar to the one in Orange County
Maranatha lost to San Gabriel...San Gabriel?? Maranatha had better make some better setting decisions or else they won't be a contender.
Pasadena is a solid team. Burroughs is just very, very strong this year. I don't think that it takes away from Pasadena's progress. Who would be close when you lose such a powerhouse.
Random thought: We need a SGV all star team! Let's go after the Tribune or Daily News teams.
Pasadena is not even close to a top 10 team. Without Kimmee they would have been lucky to finish 3rd in the Pacific last year.
