WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the last thing I want to be is a gatekeeper and I want this to be a forum where everyone can talk about their teams, get into solid discussions and even have heated debates.
All I ask is that we keep it clean. Comments with obscenities are not welcome and may be deleted.
If you want to bash me for my picks, I'm more than OK with that and expect it.
But it's not cool to bash the kids. This is high school sports, not the NFL.
There's a difference between comments being critical of a team and bashing.
So fire away, but please try to keep it clean.

Thank you for your support.

Nice blog here! Also your website loads up fast! What host are you using? I wish my website loaded up as fast as yours lol

You are such an amazing writer. Wishing you a strength and peace that surpasses all understanding as you continue to walk the high road … you are amazing, and I honor you for being YOU! You represent grace and dignity … with a smile that melts anyone blessed to be on the receiving end of it. God Bless you Always, Carrie!!!!

This is a superb post and may be one to be followed up to see what are the results

A partner e mailed this link the other day and I will be eagerly waiting your next write. Keep on on the fantastic work.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

So that explains why Muir students are failing and the school is probably going to close....

Well Maranatha,I gotta say this is a good thing. Maybe we recieved the reality check some of us knew was coming. Murphy' has been trying to instill huility into some of our players for a long time but nothing was sticki. This will.

Stang 4 Fan,

In 2003, we bet you guys at home to win the pacific outright. Get your facts correct. Yes, you beat us in '04-'06. We beat you guys 98-03.

Did coach Tip play with the 69 Blair team?

One of my friend's, Jaime Rodriguez, played with Blair and McAlister and Kermit Johnson back in the day... I believe they won 2 CIF titles.

I'm sure Coach Tip would love a shot at Coach Mills this year. We could probably beat PHS this year

You might want to rethink those years you have listed as the Stangs beating the Apaches, I think you are seriously mistaken..

Blair 54
Hollywood 0

I have to give HHS coach Loera a call and find out if Blair is for real. Last time Blair had a great season was in 1991-92 with running back Wharlest Jackson.

Who let DEM Vikings out????? Im happy to see Blair carry some blow-outs and represent Pasadena.

See you in league.

arcadia , please worry about pasadena.
muir is out of your league. ask oaks christian.

muir will hammer arcadia...guarantee!!!

MUIR will dismantle arcadia, thats the reality, beating st. fran doesnt make you guys any good.. we have to many athletes especially on defense for you guys to do anything, forget passing coz we got 3 or 4 d-1 prospect corners...so jus try running the ball..and i dont think u can run the ball that effectively with 8 in the box.
dont let fantasy get in the way of reality... when was the last time arcadia beat muir...we beat u guys in 06,05,04,03,...so yea quit hypin up ur apaches they aint ready yet.

OC had youngblood in check but a dude like that needs 25-30 carries a game.

Stang Fan

Willie Youngblood had 68 yards on 13 carries. The leading rusher for Muir was the QB...139 yards with 13 carries

Muir wont beat arcadia guarantee it

Blair is beating hollywood high 40-0 at half. Should we consider them at the 10 stop?

Are they for real?

Stang fan said:

Anyone know how many yards Willie Youngblood rushed for in their opener last week. Stats aren't printed anywhere these days.

Scott,
I know we are early into the season, but you and your staff have provided terrific coverage thus far. When is the last time Blair and pictures in the paper for a football game? I beleive that providing coverage to the floundering programs will help them. I think kids will be more excited to play for a program that is in the paper for positive reasons. Success breads success.
Thanks, Scott. Making football more popular at all schools will ultimately make our side of the valley more competitive.

La Salle Afficiando said:

Right on, Scott!
We really need to remember that we are talking about high school kids, who don't even know who we are.
So talk trash about your rival school, but don't make a young developing kid feel like he or she is doing something wrong by trying and failing. We all try and fail every day.

Excellent job, thanks for providing the blog and thanks for covering the kids.

We have a whole valley of exceptional schools and great teams and all need a little reminder now and then of how blessed we really are.

That said, St. Margaret over Maranatha? Holy Cow Galetti, lightning will not strike twice !!

Thank you Scott - for saying what definately needed to be said. Some folks need to stop living through their kids, some to need to their homework before commenting, and everyone needs to keep in mind that we are talking about kids- and what we write can have an impact on them, and not always a positive one. Every young man and young woman in this area who chooses to be an athlete should have the opportunity to be featured, mentioned, spoken of et al in this, our local paper, with no regard to what division or what school they attend. Just as our youth who are involved in and excel at academics, the arts or volunteerism are regularly featured.
Thanks for doing a great job -
