A wild affair on the hill.

Flintridge Sacred Heart lost in five games to Harvard-Westlake Thursday night in a match that took a little over two hours and 20 minutes to play.
It was a match that had all the elements of a championship match.
Despite the loss, I would have to say that right now, FSHA is well deserving of the top spot in our poll. The Tologs are well-balanced, have a soild front line and setter, and Katie Condon is quite an outside hitter.
Harvard-Westlake is also an outstanding team with good size and balance. The Wolverines have an extremely talented setter in Katherine Sebastian.
For a non-playoff match, this was one of the best girls volleyball matches I've seen in some time.
Tologs lose in thriller

LA CANADA-FLINTRIDGE - It would have been easy to mistake the atmosphere at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy's gymnasium with that of a CIF-SS championship match when FSHA hosted Harvard-Westlake in Mission League play Thursday night.
Each team dug, passed and hit as if every point was its last, while the crowd was into every play.
In the end, the Tologs failed to complete a comeback as the Wolverines prevailed in five heart-stopping games, 27-25, 22-25, 24-26, 25-16, 15-10.
The Wolverines (19-4, 8-0), ranked No. 2 in the CIF-Southern Section Division I-A poll, handed FSHA (18-4, 6-2) its first home loss since the Wolverines defeated the Tologs during the 2002 season.
Having gained a four-game win over the Tologs on Oct. 9, Harvard-Westlake swept the season series and clinched no worse than a tie for the league championship.
"They just had too many runs on us," FSHA coach Shelli Orlandini said. "Overall, I thought we played a lot better than we played against them last time, but we got stuck in some rotations where they'd get three and four points."
Wolverines sophomore outside hitter Megan Norton got her point across as she had a match-high 26 kills to go along with 18 digs. Kasey Kissick added 16 digs.
Cathryn Quinn collected 13 kills, while Emily Waterhouse added eight.
Harvard-Westlake did a solid job of containing Tologs star outside hitter Katie Condon, who led her team with 18 kills on 63 attempts.
Tologs left-handed outside hitter Megan Myers collected 13 kills, Camille Coffey posted nine kills and eight blocks and Mary Schroeder totaled eight kills and eight blocks.
Both teams got solid efforts from their setters. Katherine Sebastian had 44 assists for Harvard-Westlake, while Sam Orlandini had 42 for FSHA.
Orlandini also led the Tologs' strong defense with 39 digs, while her sister, Jenna Orlandini, had 22.
