Crockom provides punch for Pasadena

ONTARIO - Pasadena High School quarterback Tyron Crockom threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for two touchdowns as the Bulldogs topped Chaffey 51-46 in Friday's CIF-SS Central Division playoff game.
The matchup looked to be out of reach for Pasadena early on as a pair of scoring runs by Deimeon Bauman and one by Travis Rossman gave Chaffey (9-2) a 24-0 lead with 8:51 to play in the second quarter.
After Pasadena (7-4) got its first score, Rossman answered with a 71-yard touchdown run to make it 30-6.
But Pasadena, the third-place team in the Pacific League, went on a 45-8 run to take a 51-38 lead with 4:47 left in the final quarter.
In contrast to the pass-happy Bulldogs, the Tigers finished with just two completions.
Pasadena's speedy receiving corps gave Chaffey fits. Michael Harrison had three touchdown passes among his 10 receptions for 142 yards.
Arness Ikner added 156 yards on eight catches.
Chaffey trailed 51-38 with less than two minutes to play when quarterback Jacob Ahmad hit Bryan Sanchez with a 13-yard touchdown pass with 14 seconds to play. A two-point conversion run made it a five-point game.
The Tigers' onside-kick attempt was successful and gave Ahmad 13 seconds to guide a potential game-winning drive. After an incomplete pass, Ahmad scrambled out of bounds just ahead of the 0:00 mark.
But the clock kept rolling, the officials blew the final whistle and, despite pleas from Chaffey coaches, players and the crowd, the game was over.

Great season Dogs!!!!! I love you guys from the bottom of my heart! Huckster!!!!!

Scholar?

Your not! Send your kid to any private school you want! Life is all about heart and being fair! You can't hide from the truth!

SGV FAN,

Anybody from Monrovia is not on the same level as a Pasadena person! So, my son is better than the Monrovia kid by far!

Well said Scholar.

The more I read from PHS people- the more I see why parents in Pasadena choose the private schools.

I guess I will take a dive! I not sure that anyone in this hucksters family has stated he is embarrassing them! I have not seen it posted any where. He is just talking and his family knows him very well. And as the saying goes sticks and stones may break your bones but words would never hurt you. We all get on this blog and shoot shots at people, but this guy talks and it it’s nerves. It tells me what type of people you all really are in or out of Pasadena.

I remember growing up and seeing a lot of parents acting just like “Huckster”. You all remember the dads that used to be dinking at the little league games and Pop Warner games that they coached. Some getting kicked out the park for cussing the umpire’s outs and such. Now they are all sober and go to church good for them!

I guess we want to forget about the past and focus on this Huckster guy. Since some of you on this blog went to school with him and now him can post his business, but I have to give him props for posting his real name and taking the shots given to him.

Also to tell someone to leave the city, WOW! That is bold Huckster stay in Dena and root how you root. Your educated associates, I would not call them friends can leave town and stop asking about what you did after games. I guess we are all perfect, but not YOU huckster!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Darrell Fisher, I believe was his name, played at Monrovia 7 year ago. He was the same height as your son and was way better and HE DIDN'T PLAY DIV.1 FOOTBALL. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOUR SON IS BETTER THAN HIM???? DO US ALL A FAVOR HUCK, PUT DOWN THE CRACK

Thank you! I know this is some one that knows me really well and I really don’t think you’re a “PHS” fan, but that’s cool too! To your “CHALLENGES” good, but not good enough! I need to be in a harsher environment to accomplish my goals! Pasadena is not doing it for me! My son would never be embarrassed of me, because of you people! You Pasadena people (you could live any where and still be in Pasadena) are “TERDS”! When a man or woman can have that person inside of them get so jealousy and envy to wish and think bad of any individual is plain “SICK”! The “Bill Cosby” person son is so sorry and act’s like a girl and I mean literally acts like a girl! That’s not bad, because the mamma is the leader anyway! I bet your wonder, how I know a woman sent this “Blog” because you people have no hope! My brother and family again would never be embarrassed of me for the mere fact, the state of our world! You people don’t get it! You can blast me for little incidents and we (white, black, brown and yellow) are all under attack and you look for the smallest things to make you feel good! Face it! The big house you live in and the fancy car you drive mean “NOTHING”! Your still losing! The heart my son plays with is because I’ve gave that to him! A lot of you people would have told my boy to quit years ago! You hated in “Pop Warner” and you want to hate now! But you can’t! I know people think this is his last run at playing, but you’ll see again, he will preserver once again and show up on the spot light! People! It’s all in your mind “THAT” you are! I’m “Huck”! For better or worst! “LIVE’! I am! SMILING!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Stupid I'm not!!!!

When your wonderul, well mannered, respectful son graduates from our illustrious school I have the ultimate challeng for you. Leave. Just go. Please. To never see you in our stands or on our sideline would give so many of us so much joy and happiness, and we would never, ever, have to be asked later on that evening or next morning, "So what did Huck do at the game this time?"

Huck, are you man enough to accept these challenges? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Huckster!!!!!!!!! said:

Thank you! We need you "HATERS"! I love "PHS" and the “HATERS” to give us the hatred to finish Canyon Springs off! As for the rest of you “Losers” I’m on to the world or debates! I need more of a challenge! I love the local Blog, but it's boring! I think, I can get the "Nation" going! Remember I live in the "MIND"!

Truth Squad? As Fonzi would say, "GO SIT ON IT"! Since, they are going to arrest “Barry Bonds” for not telling the government the truth, I thought me and you together could have “President Bush” arrested for not telling us (I’m half American cause of being black) and you (assuming your Caucasian and a true American) on why we started war with Iraq and Afghanistan! Why go through the trivia stuff and try and start something with my family? Let’s get to some real issues! True Blue! I’m feeling you all the way! I’m probably more on the other side! Help me Oh, Lord! Smile! Stupid!

Truth Squad said:

Huckster-

Are you actually grading the papers of Muir students in your father's classes? If you are and you want me to, I will be happy to ask the Board of Education if that is improper and a violation of the Ed Code. If you aren't , then why make stupid , disparaging comments on this site about your knowing the Muir players are not very bright because you "have graded papers for Daddy".

Huckster!!!!!!!!! said:

Truth Squad,

Why do they have students being teacher aids? Mostly to grade papers and maybe sometime take roll; look, take it, however you want to take it, but I assume your one of those “Red blooded Americans” thinking I got him right where I want him type. Go to the Board! What I can do is read and write; now since you’re bringing up past Blogs when the rival game was about to be played and a lot of trash talking was going on and I made some comments on papers I’ve read and it’s a shame for some 12th graders to be able to express them selves at such levels. As for the “locker room” incident, if you weren’t there you shouldn’t make comments, but if you were there; then you know my sister was going to press charges against the Arcadia school official that pushed my nephew for no apparent reason to spark the confrontation! Now has anyone talked about that? It figures…. You people are sick! You see what you want to see and hear what you want to hear….. I’m still “SMILIING”! You can’t touch me!

Huckster!!!!!!!!! said:

Truth Squad,

First of all, I know you have no clue about teaching or the process of grading papers. My Pop’s have been a teacher over 36 years and I know the procedures of that specific deal! Maybe you should go to the board of education and find out how the process goes and you’ll then know that you can’t breathe under water.

As for having inside connections Mills is my brother and I coached Muir’s Offensive Coordinator (Antwan Simms) Defensive coordinator (Marcus Green) and Defensive Back coach (Ricky Rivers) can’t help but be inside! It’s still confidential; because I gave an example, nor did I state my example being fact! Once again, jumping the gun!

I really feel they should have more spots on the 1st team and 2nd team, because 2 teams were added last year. The system is based on a 6 team selection process and not on an 8 team one. Once that is fixed, I’m sure the selections could be a little fairer.

Smile……

Truth Squad said:

Huckster-

My objection to you is your stunt at the locker room and if you actually reviewed papers for your father's students at Muir, that is probably a violation of the Ed Code and I hope your father did not knowingly allow that.

As far as the Pacific League picks, if Kevan Walker made 1st team QB over Reuben Thomas you are correct, that would seem a little unfair based simply on their respective QB numbers. Maybe the explanation would be that Walker has more of a rep and is a Senior. My sense is that there is alwasy some favoritism for seniors over juniors. If that is the rationale, then perhaps they should have been both named 1st team QB.Thomas had a great year as a junior, just like Golper of Arcadia (122 tackles,11 sacks, 2 INT'S (both returned for TD's ) and on offense 528 yards receiving and 6 TD's) and Dominique Barnes of Burroughs (1077 yards rushing).

If Tyron is Player of the Year, who made MVP's of Offense and Defense? Did Ahmaz not get anything?

Incidentally , don't most of the better players on most teams in the Pacific League go both ways? According to Maxpreps,Pasadena had 35 players.on its roster.Arcadia had 36 players and you can tell from the stats that guys like Walker ,Ahmaz,Piccard and Golper clearly went both ways . Hoover had 37 on its roster.(Incidentally , did Reuben Thomas go both ways because Walker obviously did and maybe that plus his numbers as a Receiver caused him to get recognition over Reuben).

You are obviously privy to inside information because of your Mills connection. While I think he should keep what goes on in a Coach's meeting confidential, I have to believe he explained what the rationale was for All- League voting if it has already occurred as your posting implies.

What a name! I wish I could’ve graded your papers “DUMMY”! If you could’ve read a little longer on my post, I clearly state, “if someone could give me another perspective on how the selections could have went, please explain”! The way I understand it, if a person was selected for “player of the year” and was not named for that honor he would automatically be 1st team at his respective position, for example; Tyron Crockom, Willie Youngblood and Kevin Walker go up for “player of the year” and Tyron wins. That means Kevin Walker goes to 1st team QB and Willie 1st team running back. Muir’s QB Ruben Thomas had a better year at QB than Kevin Walker did at QB. So, if Ruben is not nominated by his coach he get’s penalized and can’t make 1st team QB! Then they have such rules where a player can’t make 1st team offense and defense. This is just “DUMB”! Pasadena High School had 32 players, so people have to go both ways and if they are better than their league counter parts at their respective positions should that player be penalized? You question my sportsmanship? I’ve been a great sport on this blog, when me and my family is being bashed! Sometime I deserve it and sometime you people are just poor spirited. My son or my father has never been deserving of being bashed, but I know that’s how you jealousy folks are on here. I’m having fun and bringing up different issues. I apologize……SMILE!!!!!!!!

Yours truly!

Da Bulldogs win last week was a reflection of the coach. Some people want to win , and some have to win ,and dont settle for losing. I grew up down the street from coach 'K' ,went to the dog pound (class of 85 B-Ball) so believe me this is no fluke,he will keep on wining ,and now order has now been restored, much love coach 'K' from ya boy Dwight Holmes

Truth Squad said:

Huckster is whining about who made All-League selections. What are you saying? The Glendale coaches colluded so Pasadena should run the score up on them in the future. You are pathetic!! Scott, why do you allow this guy with no sense of sportsmanship on this site. Maybe Huckster can barge into a locker room again or grade Muir students' papers even though he is not a teacher there.

To CIF,

I know who made what in the Pacific League, but I'm not telling! Just, know it’s a lot of collusion in the election process. I think from this point on the Pasadena Schools should run the score up on any team in the league with no running clock! These coaches in the other areas are sick! I don’t want to call it on what I feel or think it is, but I would love for someone to articulate it for me from another perspective, because maybe I missed something. I want this win badly!
