Maybe a few of the commentors general d istaste for Aol is stemming from an overlooking from the brands partnership on the net. A synergetic and harmonious 1st in my opinion.
I am having a small trouble I ca notseem to become able to subscribe your rss feed, I'm employing google reader by the way.
Excellent publish, I do agree with most in stating Aol. doesn't belong around the most effective l ist.
I fully agree with kraft meals logo. It??s really negative. But absolutely desagree with nickelodeon logo. The primary 1 was significantly better.

interesting overview of logos, but, more intriguing comments. identities are certainly not made by logos alone, but by their put within a larger set of collateral. no logo is an island and none ought to be completely judged in isolation of your way they're put to use.
I love the expression. Everyone needs to express there own opinion and feel free to hear others. Keep it up :)

Lil Weezy's single with Drake still is the s&^t. It's already been 4 months since Young Money dropped that track and I still rock to it. This single is a timeless classic. Don't deny it!
I cant believe how awesome Black Eyed Peas' new single is! The Time (Dirty Bit) is so catchy though it sampled Jennifer Warnes' song! I can't wait till BEP finish their upcoming album at the end of November.

Indie rock artists They Might Be Giants ( Bed Bed Bed ), fresh off a 2009 Christian Louboutin shoes win for their children’s recording Here Come the 123s , hop back into the kids’ arena with an original song-cum-picture book designed to inspire kids to get moving. Called to action by the words “Hey, kid!” a tired-looking boy and girl are encouraged to stand up, get up off the christian louboutin shoes, “[j]ump up off the floor and go/ Get up off your chair and go! go! go!” Soon they’re moving like a monkey, jumping like a jack-in-the-box, and getting a high-energy groove on (there’s even a dance break). With just a hint of retro style about them, Campion’s thick and loose black ink lines provide a sense of fluidity in riotous Christian Louboutin Shoes that use a limited but appealing palette of green, gray, and peach, splashed over lots of white space.
Pretty good post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed reading your blog posts. Any way I'll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you post again soon
It should actually seem a lot easier. Because instead of scrolling through songs, all you hae to do is touch it and bam.

Your blog is true, I have facebook recommend to my friends, and support you.
I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.
It goes without saying that any sample curriculum vitae assign a final section to an individual description which is intended to design a professional profile of the candidate; valuable information relies on personal skills, particular abilities, for instance applying for a computer-based position, you definitely need to mention actual computer literacy abilities and the numerous applications you are competent to use. A good sample curriculum vitae must give you an illustration to follow, especially for those very young and totally inexperienced.
What's up Dude... I am not much into reading, but somehow I read lots of ur articles on your blog. It's fascinating how interesting your website is. I will be visiting once in a while.
iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
Great article!
This article is very interesting, I like it. I will always come to visit after.

Nice piece of data that you've got in this website article. Hope I can get some much more of this stuff on your weblog. I'll are available back.
Dooney and Burke Best Imitation Handbags have been popular almost 31 years. The label is used for competence and quality of materials known to them. The design of their bags is functional and the models they use are striking. They have this tradition in its history, which makes them attractive for those who see them will be retained.
These designers have not only understood but designed beautiful alternative for women. For those who couldn't try their hands on any pair because of the price factor try the Christian Louboutin replica.
Thanks because of this! I’ve been searching all more than the web for that data.
Designer discount sandals are now up for grabs at many online stores and shopping malls. There are a wide variety of models from flat heeled open toe sandals to high heeled stilettos. Almost all the designer sandals are available with a discount and given their supreme quality any discount is a great plus for the customer.
Coach sandals with their leather finish are other branded discount sandals that one can find on eBay and other sites like zappos. Michael Kors and Betsey Johnson are two other brand names that are affordable and yet possess high quality.
The Truth,
You know when you say that he (Donald, goofy, etc.) was at the SGHS vs AHS game, and also mentioned that he will be "hiding" at the La Habra game as well, it kind of reminds me of Alhambra's coaching staff. I mean if you were going to mention SG's staff, you've got to know they have no shame in showing their faces at La Habra. Now for Alhambra, who lost first round AGAIN, it would be shameful to show your face at a rivals game which is why he'd be hiding there. Sure you beat us, but unlike you we put that in the past. That's something to learn from. Alhambra lost to Schurr, and if we defeated Schurr.. idk what to say to that. Continue bragging about how you guys beat the Matadors, honestly you're making yourself look stupid.
P.S. The way you type, and probably talk, makes me want to barf. Where the hell did you learn how to spell. Honestly, most Matadors respect the Moors, but you.. you're just a disgrace to be a Moor.
Oh btw, the word is Matadors, you mooron.
A dog telling the Stangs to keep their heads up.............aint that a b*****!!! Man that just doesn't soud right, but hey it is what it is.
I would like to again wish luck to ALL the SGV teams this weekend. Play hard and represent our area.
It is so odd for me to see no mention of the Stangs on here, they truly wasted a geat opportunity, and I hope that the players learn a valuable life lesson from this.

Now I've seen everything.
I'm being judged and made fun of (for being a Clipper fan) by a person who supports a team that has been the laughing-stock of the Rio Hondo League for the past decade or so...Really now?
He who lives in a glass house should not throw stones at others.
But feel free to throw your hat in the ring if you wanna take jabs at me. So far I've had 2 to 3 other sparring partners. But when I've rallied with a counterattack I fear they may have gone down for the count for I haven't read a retort since.
Thanks for thinking I'm cool though.
Midvalley Fan:
You see my point, give or take a few more gifted athletes from the surrounding area and bring them to La Salle you have a Pac5 contender, everyone has gotten on this bandwagon even the smaller schools that we are talking about. I would be you that most of the top athletes at these private schools were asked to come in and get the benefits of a good education as well as put their schools on the map. I happen to know first hand of some recruiting tactics taking place as we speak on some of the local players in Monrovia and Duarte at Bishop Amat, which lost its attractivness to most of the African American parents because of this new found predijuice in that area.
Ob-cat,
Apples & oranges. Those 3 top tier teams are football factories producing dozens of D-1 players. Now compare La Salle, Paraclete, Bishop Diego, Valley Christian & Santa Clara. Nobody goes there to play football. I'm just saying that RHL should be in a division that has schools with comparable enrollments. If Monrovia was worth their salt they wouldn't be playing tiny christian schools.
And by the way, i'm not really a fan of the division, but my team happens to be in it. Also, I was just kinda trying to bait you so that Monrovia would possibly see my trash talking and beat up on Paraclete. I really do think Paraclete is the toughest team (not the best) in the division but it would be cool if Monrovia could pound on them. Good luck with the rest of the playoffs. Hope my team meets yours.
Midvalley;
I hope you didn't take the Vans Comment to heart. I'm just not understanding your loyalty or logic about this div. First you say that Monrovia will get waxed then you say that these smaller schools dont belong in a league with the RHL, well heres some stats for you, sure these are small private football camps but so is Orange Luther, enrollment 800 Oaks Christian 850 Bishop amat 1100 st. Francis,600 etc...so the point that I am trying to make is that any of the teams in this division could bring hell to the next div. Orange Luthern and Oaks Christian were in Div. 12 4 yrs ago and now look at them, Hmmm I wonder how they would look now in a league that fits their schools enrollment?...Ps...you never did say who you were a fan of?.....no more insults,
Observantcat, I'm good on the vans, thnx. If u would like to trade personal insults instead of talking about football u may want to check out the local swap meet, I heard there's a sale on timberland boots. If not, I just think the RHL is weak in general. Why are they in a division with litte schools from the Olympic, Frontier & Camino Real leagues? Have you seen the enrollment of those schools? And if we're talking about history, Paraclete won 5 straight CIF title a few years ago. Did Monrovia do that? It's great that Monrovia advanced this far, but you should probably make plans to start attending Monrovia basketball & soccer games. Football season is almost over.
JJimenez, I don't think you should be criticizing anyone if you are admittedly wearing and supporting the clippers. Big Cool Guy... Come say it to my face blah blah blah...
Go Vikes!!!
P.S. Hoping for a TC-Monrovia rematch, then a Blair-(TC/Monrovia) Title Game!!!
-sigh- Here we go again....
What kid are you refering to kind sir?
If you are talking about last weeks game against LP and the kid in question is #10 then clearly you weren't at the game or must have missed a few plays.
For he was thrown to exactly 2 times. Once in the 1st QTR. for a gain of 10 yards that was called back for offensive holding. Then once again in the 4th QTR., but the ball was underthrown and landed about 2 yards in front of him.
Not sure how many times I have to say this. I really dont care who makes the catches as long as it benefits the team.
Your insults are laughable, I take them as a grain of salt. For I know you would never say them to my face.
But feel free to do so if the courage ever arises.
Anon @ 7:31 Nov.18,
U R THE MAN!!!
Hey Jimenez, he's saying to shut the f*** up and stink to what you know!
Sitting in the stands!
The kid drops passes all week then drops another in the game... No one would run a play to isolate the same idiot! Or that coach would be the idiot!
How do you know that's not the case with TC??? You seem to have the knowledge, why not try and be a part of a local team and put in your time and sacrifice your family life??
Oh yeah, "been there done that..." Well you had your chance... So either Watch or Zip It!
Now, "Go Get Your F****** ShineBox!!!!"
Stang Fan,
I respect you alot more now than I ever did. You didn't blast anybody you accepted what happened to your squad and showed that you are a true man. Congratulations to all the teams in the SGV on a heck of a football season and good luck to the teams still in the chase for the ring.

now.. now.. i've been to some monrovias games and i think that the wild cats are putting it all together at the right time the playoffs and i was at the cantwell game and i think cantwells little come back makes people over look how good the O and D looked if monrovia can put it together for 4qrts and not just 2 they can and will beat any body and I cant see how this Paraclete team is going to beat the cats....Paraclete is 11-0 but they have not played any body as good. as this monrovia team (can be if they play all 4 qrts) I did take a look at Paracletec on line and it looks like they are a running team they have two HB one with just over 1000 yeards and the other wit a little over 600 that might sound all good but takeing the run away from a team is what the cats do the cats D have stoped some good bakcs like TC will DO and blairs running back and cantwells back#28 the one that went to monrovia for 2 years and talked all that S**T in the papers and did nothing in the game haha .when the cats take away the run from Paraclete if you think that Paraclete is going to put the ball in the air when the run gets stoped well your rong because Paracletes QB has only 500 passing yeards all year so cats stop the RUN!!!! and to the 3rd round you go to face TC (that would be a good one)or bishop diego goog luck CATS!!!!
Mid-Valleyfan
Which Mid-valley team are you a fan of?..Because you apparently do know much about the history of MHS football, because if you did you would'nt make so many Hatin Opacitating statements, your team must have lost somewhere in this mix. The best thing for you to do is come to the game and spend your $8.00 and try and get a seat and watch your setiments get burried on Black Friday: Or you can just go and catch some outlet sales and purchase a couple more pair of Vans.
New York:
Its all good, no worries.
Talent wise I would say they were about even. Slight edge to Schurr, maybe. Thats why alot of people including calpreps had it being a close game. (27-21,Schurr)
What it came down to was execution, (there's that word again) turnovers and momentum. Schurr had it, Rosemead didn't.
The score was 13-6 Schurr at halftime. Rosemead came out in the 3rd and had the ball on Schurr's 2 yard line ready to score but fumbled and Schurr recovered.
I think if they would've scored it would've been a see-saw battle the rest of the night, but they didn't and Schurr took advantage of 2-3 more interceptions after that.
Final score Schurr 27 - Rosemead 6.
And thats all she wrote.
Hopefully it's just the insulting line from Goodfellas from the senior mobster to the junior mobster to pay his respects.
Jiminez,
What's the deal with Rosemead and their first round hurtle? How does Rosemead's talent compare to Schurr's? I'm just curious. I'm not trying to bring up a potentially sore subject.
BTW... Anonymous on November 18, 2007 @ 7:31 PM.
Are you trying to insult me by bringing out my "shine" box as to shine shoes because of my Mexican last name as if I'm not educated or somehow inferior to you?
Or
Want me to stand on or off my "soap" box (platform) used by public speakers/orators in the late 1800's to stand out in crowds as they would discuss/debate politics, religion and the hot topics of the day? (usually on Sunday as is the case today)
Which is it?
Just curious.
Oh geez...cry me a river please.
You are just making my arguement more valid by stating that the short passing game is working. So what's your point?
And as far as being a coach at any level, or taking time out of your schedule, or doing it for the love of the game, or not getting paid to coach as an asst., or being bitched at and blah blah blah...BEEN THERE,DONE THAT. So again, what is your point?
Read this whole thread I'm not the only one saying it. Atleast people are addressing it now.
Execution Wow... Just like the last drive to win the game right... When Tc threw a short route that was caught for 5yds to start the drive... Execution...Wow... or Short out route that was caught on the same drive that got a first down... Execution... Wow...or the touchdown pass that went right up the middle to Reasner... Execution...Wow...often the simplest answers are the best ones... I'm sure the attention being drawn to this subject is old, but must continued to be addressed as long as people use this blog to call out people they dont know, comment on things that they dont have the first clue about... Everyone needs to remember that these are HIGH SCHOOL coaches and are not paid like pro or college coaches. So your criticisms of them are not appropriate or right. Most of these guys are walkons who have lives outside of football and who give up their time and more than likely their income from their primary jobs in order to coach these kids. And they probably do it because they love football and hopefully want to use the position to teach life skills & work ethic to young men. But some people dont think about that before they use this thing... Wow... Just Wow...
Now go get your F***ing shine box Jimenez!
Observantcat,
Barely beating powerhouses like La Canada, San Marino & Cantwell doesn't give me too much confidence in a team. We are all have our teams that we back no matter what, but you should try being somewhat of a realist. Paraclete will roll.
Golden arm, re: 40 times, take a look at this article:
http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/20050418-9999-1s18forty.html
"Ben Johnson [...] is believed to have run 40 yards faster than any human in history. Johnson is best known for injecting copious amounts of steroids and winning the 100 meters at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul in 9.79 seconds, only to have his gold medal and world record stripped after failing a post-race drug test.
Timing officials have since broken down that famed race into 10-meter increments, and Johnson was so preposterously fast that he went through 50 meters in 5.52 seconds and 60 meters in 6.37 – both under the current world records at those distances. He went through 40 yards that day in 4.38 seconds."
Not even close. Monrovia sends Paraclete back to (L)ancaster with a Loss.
Paraclete will cruise to victory over Monrovia.

Goldenarm:
I wish I was joking about that but sadly it is true.
Maybe back in the day when I was at 250(and before my injury). Highly doubt it now with or without the jacket or even with a 4 sec. head start.
Goldenarm:
Glad we agree on something.
I seriously think TC can do some damage in the playoffs. Just keep feeding "DOUGH" and playing that tough "D".
(Imagine how much a short passing game would help.)
Good luck next week and....
WAR RAMS!!! (I feel dirty saying that...haha)
JJIMENEZ
No one on the Mead is under a 5 flat 40? That can't be. Are you sure?
During the era of the Dead Sea Scrolls - I lumbered in a 4.9 (probably with tailwind)- this is the 70's, but our tailback (fastest Chinese man I ever saw)ran a 4.6
I know there are friendly stopwatches and even friendlier stopwatch operators - but somebody at the Mead must be abl to shatter the 5 second barrier? Without your Clippers jacket - maybe you could?
WAR RAM had a good ring, JJIMENEZ
Once again when the moons, planets (except Uranus, of course) align - their is near agreement with us. Forget the deep footrace down the sidelines, break it off, and practice, practice, practice, so the throw is timed...making the defender have only a brief opportunity to re-engage with the receiver, and bingo - 10yds plus. I've been preaching about this since Blair. We have hands - not "run past you" speed. We need more passes of the catchable variety - because i believe they will be caught. It is not the Bob Hayes era - when the ball was hurled 60 yds and Hayes ran under it. Any variation of this idea, where routes are shortened and defined, would work. I am thinking this may come to pass this week(forgive the pun)
IT WOULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
If TC comes out with the D of last week...we will do just fine.
O-cat,
Glad to hear the backfield duo is healthy, their styles compliment one another - at least they sure as hell did against TC. Maybe you can add to what NEW YORK touched on regarding football "logic". I thought heavily on the Duarte/LP game (13-10)and the Wildcats scalp job on the Rams, the Mon/Duarte game, etc -when mulling over how TC would stand up to the LP Warriors. All turned out pretty much meaningless after the first series at LP. There is no substitute to SEEING your opponent play a game or two - as a basis in determining how you will stack up against them. Matching record to record and reviewing and cross-checking past opponents records - leaves you with a mountain of S- - -, and alot to fret about. Another good example this week for TC as well - Bishop Diego.
WOW....
Players must execute...what a concept. WHO KNEW???
Wouldn't that percentage of execution rise if you had a short/mid level passing game. Instead of running long outs and streaks down the sideline?
Seriously....WOW.
Goldenarm:
Smith is acutally fine to play this friday night, We have several running backs that can come in and handle their own but with a game as intense as this one could turn out to be, We have to pull out every string possible to be the dominant offense. Our passing game is great and if we mix it up like we have we will see a lot of success. Daro Johnson has been a life saver with his speed getting past the seconcdary's and putting us in a great position to control field advantages, I would'nt be shocked if we went to him more in these playoff games. He is by far the fastest guy on the field. If I were the coach I would probably put Smith & Williams in the defensive backfield as well, Thats what a lot of the IE & OC schools do even if its just for the threat of getting an int. They are both gifted athletes and might prove to be the answer for the defensive weakness. That Santa Clara/LaSalle game should be an interesting one to watch Because I dont think that there is a better running back in the CIF as there is over at Santa Clara. As far as the teams here in the SGV, one of the main reasons they dont get that much attention is that they are mainly covered by their local Papers which I fault the so-called prep guru Sondheim that made an intentional effort not to cover Us and made sure that the Valley Schools and the OC schools got 90% of the coverage. Ever since he took over and notice the City Boys being transferred over to the Valley schools (Notre Dame, Crespi, Taft, Birmingham etc..) He figured there were no other teams in this area to compete with that so he has been on a complete diregard toward the SGV teams. Thank god for the Star news and the Tribune or SGV football would'nt exist. I think the coachs in this area should start really challenging some of the IE and OC schools in the pre-season so that the perception would change, we keep buying into situation. Remember last years West Covina/Mater Dei score in pre-season was by far one of Mater Deis toughest games.
Stang Fan,
Sorry about Friday night. Those type of games happen too often.
As a football purist, the one thing that really bothers me is that, according to the article, Muir attempted a two-point conversion late in the game. Is that true? Did Muir decide to abandon their kicking game after they missed an extra point earlier in the game? It just seems like going for two in that situation is a bad call. If you miss the conversion, then you are down by 9, two scores. IF you kick and get the one, then you are down by 8 and you can go for the two point conversion after the next touchdown (play for OT at home) after the next TD when your players' adrenaline is at a peak. Instead, you miss the conversion and stay down by 9. It's tough for the players to keep hope at that point because they have to score another TD and recover another onside kick and at least get a field goal.
We had almost the exact same situation several years ago against Aliso Niguel in a first round 15-24 home loss. Reading Muir's article was like deja vu.
Not sure what happened to my other post:
Mid-Valley Fan,
Your score comparisons are meaningless. Paraclete and Monrovia have no common opponents, only opponents that are one team removed and several weeks apart. Using your flawed logic, La Puente should have slaugtered Temple City as La Puente beat Duarte who beat Monrovia by three TDs who recently beat TC by a lot. BUT, TC came out and beat La Puente just as Monrovia will beat Paraclete as long as we play sound football and take advantage of key matchups.
Tc's offensive woes come down to one thing... lack of consistent excution by the players themselves. To say its just playcalling is dumb because it doesnt take to account the actual excution of the plays called. This Tc team has been a split personality team all year long... sometimes they come out & play well offensively (Arroyo, La Salle)other times they have looked bad (South Pas, La Canada) & other times like against Monrovia for example the lack of execution is horrible. In that game Tc had guys open behind the defense 3 times & had 3 over throws. Is that playcalling? Its the way it goes some years and the hope is that the kids learn & get better. But it doesnt matter now because its survive & advance time & the boys are still playing & thats all that really matters... sans criticisms from those who dont really know whats going on.
Just waking up from my nightmare......
First things first, congratulations Cajon. You guys played your butts off. That guard #74 was a frickin' BEAST!
Secondly, congratulations Blair, TC, Monrovia, La Salle, SG, Maranatha, and last but definintely not least I would like to send a well-deserved and huge congratulations to the PASADENA BULLDOGS. I will absolutely be rooting ALL of you on as you continue your fight for the ring. And to PHS....way to represent for the Pacific League!!!
To the '08 Stangs....you guys represented your school with pride and heart all year long. As you all know you are Stangs 4 life!!!
A little game analysis. As much as I'd hate to admit this.....Cajon wanted it more. I don't know what happened or what it was, but our kids came out sooooooooooo flat. If I have any disappointment that's exactly where it stems fom. I don't know if it was Cajon's record, or the fact that they were the 3rd seed, or that they didn't look athletic enough, or whatever.....but the Stangs came out as if they were guaranteed a spot in the second round. As usual, by the time they had "figured it out," it was a little too late. Blame it on the coaches, blame it on the players, either way they just didn't come to play. I remember how psyched they were to play Arcadia. You could see it in them from the time they walked to the fieldhouse, through warm-ups, through half-time, to the end of the game. On Friday night, when they needed to bring that intensity most, they simply did not.
No blame goes to the refs, no blame goes to the CIF playoff comittee, no blame goes to the field conditions or the weather. The program has to look inward on this one. Along with the absense of intensity there were: three crucial and legitimate penalties on third and long to continue Cajon's scoring drives, two key fumbles (one with Wille barreling down into the red zone--you called that one New York), and a total lack of the passing game (three Hit routes thrown at the reciever's feet, one which turned into a fumble). All of these things contributed to the demise of the '08 Stang football season.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda...........
This team was really good and there is no doubt in my mind that they are the best team locally. But they failed to produce last Friday night and they are now at home WISHING they had practice on Monday. So is life.......
As far as all of the other bloggers jumping on here to bash the me..........well, as they say if you can't take the heat get the hell out of the kitchen. I can give it, so I can take it too. I'd just like to wish the rest of the SGV teams the best of luck in the upcoming weeks.......as I've said before, we have got to represent for our area, and I will surely be out there these next few weeks supporting y(our)teams.
LET'S GO SGV!!!
Mid-Valley Fan,
Those comparative scores are meaningless, especially since Monrovia played Duarte so long ago. Monrovia is on a roll and Duarte must have some key injuries. Furthermore, Paraclete and Monrovia don't even have common opponents, just opponents one removed which is even more meaningless.
Your flawed logic would suggest that La Puente should have blown out and dominated Temple City in every way since La Puente recently beat Duarte who beat Monrovia by 3 TDs and Monrovia worked over TC just last week. But guess what happened? TC just beat La Puente just as Monrovia will beat Paraclete, as long as we play solid fundamental football and continue taking advantage of key matchups.
O-cat
with the talent you have, who backs up Smith? The combo of Williams/Smith looked strong against TC, but if the kid is down, you need to find some offensive production elsewhere. You guys had excellent pass protection...why not wrinkle in some short/mid range passing. Oh yeah...for Smith, bring up #6 from JV, that kid could cut and had excellent foot speed.
Good luck Friday
Dang, I really wanted a rematch with Muir... but I guess that's not possible since they LOST!
Sucks for you guys...
F-ball Einstein:
I'm sorry, but I also don't buy into our QB is too small to see over his O-line mumbo jumbo. Unless he throws side-arm or underhand, which it appears that he doesnt.
At 5'8" its not like he is throwing over a giant size O-line that are 6'4" or taller, at best the tallest lineman is 6'2" and thats pushing it.
There are thousands, if not more QB's that are undersized in stature but are still able to pass the ball. (shoot my brother was one at 5'9")
Would you agree that there isn't much of a differnce in players sizes or skill level between area schools such as TC, Rosemead, San Gabriel or whatever. They are all pretty much the same kids. Right?
(Using the 'Mead as an example 'cause its what I know and keep in mind both teams have 1000 yard rushers)
Well, I know for a fact that Rosemead's QB (#10) is no taller than 5'8"-5'9"(about the same size as TC's QB) yet he has thrown for almost 2000 yards, while TC's QB has only thrown for 700 odd yards (according to maxpreps.com) and Rosemead's O-line averages about 6'0"-6'2" (if that) so line of vision should be about the same.
I know for a fact that Rosemead's primary WR's #33 and #3 are no taller than 5'11" and thats being generous, while atleast one of TC's two primary receivers is atleast 6'2" #10 and #5 looks to be not much shorter. So while TC has the size advantage, 'Mead's WR's still have more receptions. (maxpreps.com)
Speed can't be a factor either. For I know as a fact that no one on the Rosemead squad runs a "40" time at under 5 seconds. Someone on TC has to be faster than that, if not then both teams are hella slow.
Level of competition shouldn't be an issue. If anything it hampers Rosemead since they supposively play at a tougher level D-6 while TC plays at D-11. (but whatever)
So if these kids are pretty much the same, yet one side has better numbers. Does it come down to play calling?
I may not be the Football Einstein or genuis as your name indicates. So can you please explain this to me? Sans excuses.
BuLlDoGs.:::**LL YeA!!!!
pride you are embarrassing. if the boys wanna get good, they have to beat good teams, why should cif make it a cake walk? isn't it already watered down enough?
BigredMachine:
Your fans were normal football fans. But the game itself started out what looked to be a blow-out with Marquise Williams scoring at will in the first quarter. He had 153yrds in the first quarter and I believe he got hurt somewhere around the end of the first half. He came back in the fourth quarter and pretty much took the game over with a gritty performance which lead to a 23 yrd td with half of the Cantwell defense riding his back. The cantwell fans looked like they were in a state of shock. I'm not trying to pour it on but we were missing the other half of a great backfield, I really believe the game could have gotten out of hand in the first half if tailback Dwight Smith were in. He would have probably had another 250yrds. But it is what it is and your team came out the second half ready and fired up, I actully thought your coaching was pretty good to discover some of Monrovias weakneses and mount a attempted comeback. Paraclete is our next game and I hope that both running backs are healthy and can play, If that be the case we should win the game in both halfs.
Big Red Machine,
Thanks for the kind words. The Lancers will carry the Camino Real League banner all the way to Oxnard, and represent.
That Mr. Wood for Santa Clara seems like the real deal, it should be a great game.
At least the Friday night traffic won't be so bad, with the holiday and all.
Good luck to all the WSGV teams still in the hunt.
AT the Cantwell vs MHS game...the Cardinals started dancing and singing what appeared as their Fight/Pride song. They were facing the Monrovia players the whole drill and the end...some of the Cardinals pointed at the MHS players. MHS just kept cool and ignored them with class.
After the game, MHS was dancing with a WIN.
I guess Cantwell was trying to copy the movie "Remember the Titans." Or trying to get into the heads of the Wildcats.
Anyhow, their fight/pride song should be in the direction of their fans, not the other team.
ATOMIC DAWWG
Cantwell had Monrovia on the ropes. Bad coaching decisions again cost Cantwell the game in the closing seconds. 3rd and 12 from the Cantwell 8 yard line with one minute left and Monrovia scores to win the game. Weissenberger (#6) from Cantwell had one heck of a ball game along with Tillman (#1) and Taylor (#3). Way to hang in there and give Monrovia a run for their money. Good luck to Monrovia the rest of the way and congrats to Cantwell on a fine season. Oh yeah, and to La Salle good luck and represent the Camino Real league in the finals once again. Who said the Cantwell fans have no class. See you all next year!
Mid-valley Fan
Second game of the season -Marquise Williams and 140yrds in penalties-6 major turnovers -bad coaching decisions till now. YOu would be dumb to think that this is the same Monrovia team that will be playing next week. Maybe a bit young but now the maturity has come and the confidence has settled in, Monrovia will play till the end and with CIF finals in mind. So much for your analysis kind of burnt out.
Look...
I'm not saying my nephew is the greatest player or fastest WR out there and as a punter, forget it, even he knows he sucks.
All I'm saying is open up the playbook a lil' more, mix it up. Run some different routes...something.
You have a couple of more games this season(hopefully) for me to criticize the play calling, but don't worry next year you won't hear a word from me.(other than my 'Mead rants)
When this Senior class graduates and you don't have Do to rely on. Don't say I didn't warn you and whatever you do. Don't blame the coaches.
Mid-Valley Fan:
what the wildcats showed in their second game of the season against duarte is far different from what they are now. what you said is something to think about but it shouldn't entirely decide the fate of the game. it's going to take an entire team effort for paraclete to beat monrovia, and they are going to see a very hostile monrovia crowd.
Paraclete v. Valley Christian 27-7; Valley Christian v. Duarte 31-21; Duarte v. Monrovia 42-21. Monrovia is gonna get waxed. Paraclete +35.
Check out avpress.com to see news stories on Paraclete.
See...just what I said.
TC fans get all butt-hurt.
Hey PRIDE-You can't stop whining about the cif seedings. Try and be like the other Apache fans and just praise the kids for a good season, and leave it there.Excuses just make people dislike your sports team and the players are probably embarassed. Move On!
I like Monrovia over Paraclete. Monrovia is playing well and Paraclete has an impressive record but a very unimpressive schedule. Monrovia will be the best team Paraclete will face this season, and Monrovia will advance to the next round.
Yes Cierre Wood is going to be playing la salle. he he averages 14 yards per carry and 35 yards per catch. He has also had a game where he has rushed for 370 yards.
It's DO

GO COWBOYS!!! IE RULES!!!
hahaha... the post below is the truth!!!
Reasner is pretty fast when he wants to be though! TCs line is decent but they play high. They run block great most of the time, but they don't give much time to throw. TCs WRs run slow routes with terrible cuts, most DBs can undercut their routes and then its off to the races versus a slow TC team! I think TCs coaching staff is doing fine.
Critics critisize, that's why we're here and not breaking down film this weekend.
I agree, lay off the coaches and focus on the good play of the players from all school... The Bashing Is Getting Out Of Hand!
JJIMENEZ:
TC's QB is 5'8 maybe. Have you ever tried looking over the middle when all you see is your o-lines asses. Speaking of which the O-line is not that good so asking them to pass block is suicide. #8, #10, #5 are the slowest REC in the league. LP corners play 7-10 yards off to bait the slant, curl, etc. Keep in mind THIS IS HIGH SCHOOL FOOBALL & THE RHL. If #10 was going to school at any of the top teams in the So.Cal. he would be kicking field goals and the back up punter. Enjoy the couple of catches he gets every week. Those help loosen up the D in order to run the ball.
Just wanna state that I was writing my post in repsonce to others before I got to post ahead of Goldenarm on November 17, 2007 @ 2:45 PM.
(we are pretty much saying the samething)
Don Daniels:
FINALLY!!!!
Someone that agrees with me and doesn't get all butt-hurt if I happen to criticize the play calling or decision making.

Anonymous @ November 17, 2007 11:12 AM:
From where I was sitting in the stands (and looking around) I wasn't the only one shaking his head or asking himself why such and such or so and so was called or not called. I guess I'm just the only person brave enough (or stupid enough) to voice my opinion.
If you were to throw to the WR's a lil more. Let's say a hitch or a screen (bubble, circle) or a QB 3-step drop while your WR's run a skinny slant/post (especially when the DB's are giving you close to a 7-10 yard cushion) or even to your TE #5 (Joe Resner)up the middle behind the LB's. Heck even a deep ball other than on 3rd and long will only free up the running game even more, because opposing "D" coaches will have to respect the pass and keep themselves "honest". Instead of stacking the box with 8-9 players to stop the run.
(just a suggestion)
You and other TC fans can agree to disagree with me and dislike me if you want, I can really care less and I've already stated in earlier posts why I attend TC games (nephew) and with whom my loyalties lie.
But keep riding Williams Do ("DOUGH"...haha,gotta love that) and playing tough D and I think TC can go pretty far in the playoffs.
LP Alum
it was a penaltyfest on both sides as well..hankys were raining down right and left
Best of luck to the Warriors...no doubt you will be back in the hunt
O-cat
TC must cut back on turnovers, specifically fumbling. We also need to sway AWAY from the deep ball and run some slants or shallow posts, dump to the tight end or even a basic 5 and out to the WR. These out and ups and straight fly patterns are too low % for completion.
If the D maintains their focus and Backus and crew prep well - I like our chances. Plus were in our casa.
Congrats Temple City on the big win. The bottom line is we had to play our best football last night and crucial mistakes hurt the team. I wish all of you luck and watch out for the Warriors in the future.
cif's pairings are a joke...PL got jipped once again.but hey hats off to pasadena, way to rep the PL. other than that...thanks cif for another wonderful first round..:(
And while complaining and saying that Muir has no class in "winnig and losing" why don't you take a long look in the mirror -try not to laugh at the figure before you, and try to read what you just wrote. I know its hard because 1) I doubt you can read very well and 2) even a valedictorian would have trouble trying figuring out what you attempted to write.
You, yourself said "Like all PL and SG valley FANS are bunch LOSER and CRY BABIES!"
Now unless I unless I misinterpreted what you wrote - it appears that you, Mr. Cajon have NO class.
Bring it on the field. You're cpmpletely outclassed on this board and have embarrassed yourself and your school enough. Go spend the rest of the day working on your abc's.
Actually - I go to Arcadia High School and I'm sticking up for the Pacific League and the rest of the West San Gabriel Valley while also laughing at your level inability to spell or create a comprehendable sentence.
Go Bulldogs.
ScottG -
I think your earlier blog about RHPrep losing all their games against teams with winning records, but then blowing through league - was spot on.
RHPrep moving "down" to the Alpha league would have meant they wouldn't have even made the playoffs this year. I know that Finchamp will start with the same old tired "we always beat Maranatha..." Except Maranatha beat them without Matt S., Alex C., Mark L.(for 3.5 quarters), and a sophomore 3rd string QB - so Finchamp, that was then this is now. The numbers are what the number are.
Looking forward to the second round, Maranatha has a tough game against a strongly coached but over rated St. Margaret's team. Again, the numbers are the numbers. St. M has blown out a lot of teams with hugely negative CalPrep ratings this year. They played Calvery Murietta (a 7.2 rating) and won 14-0, this is a lot different than running up the scores on a bunch of minus 20 squads.
Keep an eye on the game next Friday - Maranatha has been playing for this rematch all season.
Thanks for all the great SGV football coverage and good luck to all Pasadena teams.
Goldenarm & TC loyalists:
If you want to beat Bishop Diego, you must play the same game you played against LaSalle earlier in the season. They are almost a clone in terms of style. Very well disciplined and will hurt you on the passing game if you fall asleep. You must exploint their weakness which will be utilizing your running back and throwing screens instead of going for the big one. You can Win!
house of pancakes homie u got trey walls the crusher/ then u got the silent storm shat/ then u got u cant handle me j-jones/then u got yours truly the enforcer boykins/then you got get past me if u can chris all of them are ready to go to war anyday of the week
to the other fake annonymous (Mrcajon2007) We know who you are on this post another humilliated bulldog fan who lost the bell once again so he decides to step on the bandwagon of Cajon who he knows nothing about except what he tries to read in the newspaper. You need to change your diaper, its beginning to Stink and all real star news bloggers can smell it all the way to Pasadena!...You should save your good manners for the Bulldogs next game.
pacific league can read, can Cajon?-Fan
You must be a Mustang Fan??
IE don't have school run by state. IE boys were smart enough to beat your school, year after years!!
Like all PL and SG valley FANS are bunch LOSER and CRY BABIES!! Can take heat ,like your so call great defense!!
Least Arcadia, Burbank , PHS show some class in winnig and losing!! But PL Mustang are out of playoff where you belong!!
HA!!,HA!!,HA!!
IE RULE FOREVER!!
GO COWBOYS!!!
You should have heard the "Dough" chorus last night every time the name was mis-pronounced...TC fans were aflame last night
not according to his Dad, I figure he is a reliable source
Goldenarm,
I think Williams Do's last name is pronounced DEW.
DD
receivers comment is true - under utilized, true. That would be a long thread -it includes a review of the entire passing scheme...good point
-Daniels
What are you talking about, TC has receivers on the field that can catch but don't!!!Dropped passes every friday night by top receivers.
I'm not sure who to support on the TC coaching issue but i have seen a few games and have coached in the past.
Only the coaching staff know their players! We can't say what they should be or shouldn't be doing.
Lay off, aswell as the other coaches in the area! Everyone thinks they're the best guy for the job, but most just sit and talk trash about the ones trying to get it done.
Good job TC rams the D had big stops especially when the Qb of LP running for his life from #31 threw intentional grounding pass to a LP player standing on the sideline not in the game..LOL.
F-ball Einstein and WAR RAM...formerly JJIMENEZ
in theory you guys are right about the fair catch...but their punter was kicking low trajectory frozen ropes about 4 of the 6 times they attemtpted to punt. I would prefer to let it bounce if there is the SLIGHTEST QUESTION about fielding it cleanly. That said, the possession on the 1 sucked. We did have a 90 yd drive, capped by the short TD toss over the middle right across the goal line. That was a killer play.
Einstein - forget about the injury tale of woe - most any team in the SGV can sing a similar tune. Losing Doug H hurt, and yeah I know the rest. Bottom line - You go with, and live with, what you got. it could have been way worse...we are in round 2...as Mr. Dew would say..GO RAAAAAMSS!!
Hey JJimenez... You say you're a TC supporter but all you do is talk crap about our coaching staff!?!? And if your nephew only gets thrown to once out of the 10-15 passing play we have a game, that's not coaching, that's the QBs choice. Play calling was great on both sides of the ball! Aside from a couple mistakes, we looked at the top of our game! Couldn't you see 2 or 3 coaching yelling at the punt returns to catch the ball? A coach can only do so much...
I support these coaches completely! They're doing a hell of a job!
Our D-Line shut down the run and applied a steady pass rush. LBs were flying around hitting people, but our DBs had some of the same troubles from weeks past, but decent.
Our running game was unstoppable! Do and Escobedo ran great! Our O-Line is coming together and dominating! When we did throw it was decent aswell, no picks.
Either support the team completely or go watch your beloved 'Mead....oh yeah, nevermind.
Trey,Shant,Jay,Anthony,and Chris.H.O.P.
Great JOB O-Lines!!
DOGS WRS and QB and back-up QB you all have BIG HEART!!!--THANK
DOGS Defense Thank-YOU for giving the Offense a chance.
To Coach Staffs, Thank-YOU for not giving up!!!

WIN,WIN!!!
WOW!! what a COMEBACK!!
I keep reading about Temple City winning due to outstanding coaching. What in the world are these people smoking? The coaching staff should be teaching tiddlewinks at a retirement home. These poor kids have never been exposed to the fundamentals of pass defense, teaching the quarterback that there are more receivers in the pattern than the primary, middle linebackers blitzing on obvious pass situations, catching punts, etc. The reason they are winning is shear effort by the players, not ability of the coaching staff. They have receivers sitting on the bench that can catch, play them.

Does anyone know where Valley Christian plays their home games?
Maranatha and la salle are going to get blown out big time this comming up weekend.
Headline reads: Pasadena 51, Chaffey 46 - Bulldogs come up huge in road victory! That is an understatement!!!! If you did not see this game, you missed the game of a lifetime. You missed one of those true, "this is what football and sport is all about" type moments when you feel like your heart could just stop beating after every play..one of those am I still breathing downs; It was the most gut wrenching, heart pounding, soul stirring game ever. To come back from a deficit and win it 51-46 was outstanding...Even though I was just a fan in the stands, today I woke up feeling like I had been on the field with them pushing for every yard. My heart is overflowing with bulldog pride. My voice is gone, my hands sore from clapping...I'll live..very minor compared to the work those young men put in last night. They went to work! They got it together in the end and came out winners. They know the meaning of "it 'aint over, till it's over." The team that could...and DID...I'll post more later...I gotta go celebrate again right now!....BULLDOGS!
Observvantcat:
Williams, i think, might move to a different offensive position next year. It's been said that he wants to play at different position once he gets to the next level so Smith might be taking the bulk of the load next year.
MR CAJON 2007 - Congratulations on that education you're getting out there in the Inland Empire. Sounds like you're one 'helluva' scholar.
That pile of (insert word here) that you call writing was one of the hardest things I have ever had to read. I have no idea what you just said. You score no points for intelligence and may God have mercy on your soul.
F-ball Einstein:
Thats exactly what I was refering to when I mentioned the special teams play.
I agree with you whole-heartedly about just fair catching the f'ing ball instead of watching it bounce pass you for another 10-20 yards and about the safety/free safety pass coverage.
Just wish they would mix it up a bit more on offense instead of running the same (4-6) plays over and over again.
Todd Mizuki '74
So pasadena john muir PL 2007 champ, the number one ranked team in pasadena and the valley.IE Cajon show you in the pasadena and valley how weak you guy are. IE player are better, faster, quicker.
Yes you guy got a great tailback, but our tailback is better(Kazee 251 yard) and Youngblood was on our team he would be riding the bench behind this guy!!
WE came in third in our league. If we was in the PL we would be the PL champ!!
PL and SG valley are not ready to play with IE big boys!!Rumor going around that you guy was just luckying to beat BullDogs!!
Now I do belive It!!
From MR Cajon 2007!!
Way to go CAJON COWBOYS!!!
BULLDOGS!!!!!! HOUSE OF PANCAKES #52 TREY WALLS!!! OMG...YOU INSPIRE US! A QUIET STORM...#50, #54 SHANT!, # 55, #56 YOU ALL ARE CONSISTENTLY A FORCE, AND EXAMPLE OF BULLDOG DETERMINATION AND A CONTRIBUTORS TO GAMES BEING WON. WE LOVE YOU!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
Oh, I was there Goldenarm.
In fact I've been to the past 2 games, making it 5-6 games that I've been to this year. I'm the big (good looking..haha) guy in the red Clippers jacket.
I'm usually doing a silent pray that Sebas doesn't shank it when he punts(first 5 games ever doing so) or miss a FG/PAT and hopes he gets more than one ball thrown in his direction per game.
See you at the next game.
(being that my panthers are done)
WAR RAMS!!! & WAR SWORDSMEN!!!
p.s. Loved it how the crowd would yell out "DOH" in unisence everytime the LP announcer would mispronounce his last name as "DEW"
JJIMENEZ:
TC has been devastated this year with injuries and off the field health issues. The fact that this team was in every game they lost and in the running for the RHL Championship right up till the last week, then pull off a first round playoff win is CLEARLY a testament to a good coaching staff. Will Do is the heart and soul of that team, but last night was the first time all year that everyone played together with a common goal. Great group of kids! One thing that needs to be addressed is the PUNT RETURNS and the FS position. #43 plays the run well but just doesn’t play the pass well. Can somebody please catch a punt? Just fair catch it!
Great win for Monrovis, Defense had a great game the DB's still need to keep the reciever in front of them, the two of the TD's were results of mistakes made by the DB's. The O-Line played awsome, Wlliams had 230 yards he's a great back that doesn't stop his feet when hit; but, without huge holes to run through he would make into the D-secondary. #60 played great, he went both ways including special teams the whole night, that takes alot of heart and stamina at this level in the playoffs. Great GAme Wildcats good luck next week you wuill need to step it up and play smarter.
Bacdoc: I appreciate your comments on the TC report. What happens in those situations is that the reporter was actually sent out by Fred over at the Tribune which provides La Puente coverage. We published the story in the Star-News as a shared story, hence the La Puente headline. I, however, can change the online version.
Dark clouds await the Bulldogs in Mo Valley come this Friday night!
Way to go VIKINGS!!!
Rumor mill - Keith Jones replaces Gil Rudaflores
Where are all the Alhambra honks? Oh yeah making their annual appointment with the grief councelor. Not much to say this morning. All that talent, all that talk about family and brotherhood. Goes to show you its not the old ball coach but his along for the ride son. Get a real offensive coordinator.
Wasted days in Alhambra. Wasted talent, wasted opportunities. Outcoached all around. #1, #21, #83, you can't get the ball to them? Take a kid out of the QB spot so you can get him the ball? Not preparing second string players in preseason blowouts, then claiming no depth? Not developing a kicking game when you have a D1 prospect at the position? Give this team to the S.G., Scurr or T.C. coaching staff and a deep playoff run would be the norm. Wait a second, all of those guys were under Ruedaflores early in their careers. Why did they leave? Maybe to grow? Just a couple questions for A.D. Torres - maybe he will finally do the right thing.
TC congrats on the Win over the LP Warriors, the only Warriors i saw on the field was wearing the white jerseys..lol
Now lets do it again...
Scott, I appreciate Mike Baca's report on the La Puente/Temple City game, but how about a headline that says "TC wins in a close game, instead of "LP Falls to TC". Just a thought...Congrats to TC on a good win.
I just want to give thanks to all the Muir football players for playing a good game. I also heard that next year senior class will be much stronger and faster next year. Their is a few players that I would like to mention that were only juniors in Muir starting Defense like #20,#7,#44 go mustangs hope to see you next year playing good football.
Let Stang Fan get some sleep. He probably thinks the game is tonight and is just haveing a nightmare. Remember he's now a Pasadena Bulldog Fan!
Hey StangFan,
You and St Francis play the same team next week.......nobody. Welcome to the big time, now you know what it is like to play a real team like the Golden Knight do all year every year. OUT!
man what a tough game for the apaches. that is the scrappiest group of kids ive seen play together in a while. they did not the big name rancho verde mustangs intimidate them at all. the big usc tackle was getting embarrassed by some of our smaller kids with a bigger heart. secondary got lit up it looked like walker was the only db who had a clue what to do out there. another week and once again another team who did not throw deep on walkers side except for one, where it was broken up by walker. he was back at WR, his natural position, and had a great game picking up first downs and a td on some nice screen passes, although he was playing on a tender high ankle sprain which was noticeable. todd golper was playing like an animal racking up at least 15 tackles. shelby klein was a little missile flying around hitting and casey picard, who ad to take over for troy ahmaz at RB ran the ball with authority. if willm and ahmaz would've played this game, arcadia would be playing in the 2nd round right now by far. turnovers and big plays kill a team. great season apaches good luck to all the seniors!
coaching, what else can you say? Great job players - you left everything on the field. Thank you for the ride.
M-Cat:
You are right, these games should be played with the same intensity in both halfs like the (TC-Monrovia) Game. Marquiese is the real deal running back who put the Wildcats on his shoulder and too them home. Dwight Smith apparently did not play other wise I think we may had a better second half of this game. He alone can burn out a defense with his speed and power. I hope that they are both healthy for next week so that we can pull off a shocker at our house and put a spin on this division. We probably have the best backfield in the whole SGVN, I know a lot of people may not agree unless you have been to a Monrovia game with all three guys in there, Williams, Haggard, & Smith, I think they could have played anywhere and still be playing next week. Good Luck Cats and looks like we could have another shot at Blair if we both keep up our winning ways.
"...closing out a game is a must in the later rounds."
M-Cat...
What do you call Marquis' beastly , 20-yd TD run with less than :30 on the clock? He powered the ball through multiple tacklers...and FINISHED!
The glass is half full...
House Of Pancakes,Pasadena's offensive line is the best O line in the pacific league! Way to put in work Trey,Shant,Jay,Anthony, and Chris.H.O.P.
Goldenarm,
Waht do you expect sfhs92 is a SF grad they are living off their last championship in 62 - 46 years ago. Here to SF going into the Pacific league (on their way to the prep league) and getting their --- kicked by Muir.
The 'Cats allowed Cantwell back into the game in the second half just like in the Blair and La Canada games. If things keep going like that for the Wildcats, they will be knocked out by Paraclete. It was great to see a win but closing out a game is a must in the later rounds.
Yeah we lose but you have to give it up to the guys they put up a good fight there where just to many flags and mental mistakes. I'm sorry for 33 willie youngblood had a great game hope u do well in the next level. Also 51 and 52 great good this here in leading the team in sacks also hope you guys do well in the next level. Can't forget 2, 3, 9, 22, you guys had a great game do well in the next level. But watch out next year cojan we coming back faster and stronger. We have playmaker in 20 chris dunlap had him a int good game kid. Good game to the junior 44 I see much greatness comin from this kid as of the #20. # 8, 23, you guys did your thing can't wait to see you guys next year.
ScottG,
Agree completely - lasst year's Poly team was the best I have seen in my 20 years (much better than the ones that won CIF)and they were bounced easily in round 2. Prep and Rio haved good teams that should at least get deeper into the playoffs in the appropriate division.
sfhs92,
man dude, you set your alarm for 330am just to throw a barb on a man who is already down? Pretty risky move for you come karma time.
For a true competitor, losing is painful enough. Getting your nostrils rubbed in it as well - never met anyone who responded kindly to that.
Congrats to all the local teams who pulled off victories. Stang Fan where are you? You have been bashing everyone else all year long and look what your mighty stangs did... nothing they flamed out in the first round. So much for your prediction of them being the number one team in the area at the end of the year.
Congratulations to every team who played last night. Good luck to every team who is still in it. Keep having fun and enjoying the moment.
GO 'CATS! Home game against Paraclete.
JJIMENEZ
it was the official punt and punt return fiasco last night. Long snaps high, wormburner long snaps and punters looking scared, wondering where the next long snap might be. Punt returner tackled after a clean and clear fair catch signal. Short kicks, horrible kick...eventually rolling for 60 yds and not being too horrible afterall. More on that later...tough end for the Mead, they will live to WAR again come support Sebas we welcome your intensity!
O-cat
Thanks for the nod. I'm also glad to hear you got outta there with a win, which was seen in my crystal ball - but with a 10 point margin...oh well, close enough. Cardinals played well, or no?
Despite being called Williams "DEW" most of the night by the LP announcer - Will ran extremely hard, and his defensive presence was equally important, making several key solo tackles and scooping up a blocked punt and rambling in for a TD. His ankle is probably submerged in Antartica right now..hopefully will mend by next Fri. He left it all out there. He lost focus only once, on a incomplete swing pass that was ruled a lateral, recovered by an alert LP backer, giving LP an easy 6.
MY TAKE is this is actually TC's FIRST TRUE DEFENSIVE WIN of the season. Were it not for a couple let downs in the deep secondary and one fumble early - TC totally stifled LP's offense. There were at least two bone jarring hits from the Rams D - great job!! Probably the single most devasting D play, was a relentless Josh Willard chasing down the LP QB, forcing an intentional grounding call - huge play.
By the way, Do opened at QB and TC was moving the ball well utilizing power formations - until the ball was lost midfield on a fumble, I believe it was Reasoner. Joe however, rebounded with his usual north/south/east/west presence on D.
I am stoked to have another week of football..TC LIVES!!!
man...what a tough loss for the apaches..with willm and ahmaz out they still came back and almost pulled an upset..down 14-7 then a cheap td b4 the half...the arcadia secondary got toasted tonight with all of those deep passes. walker was the only person who looked like he knew what he was doing out there. another week and another team who did not throw to k. walks side. he played a great game at receiver also playing on a very tender high ankle sprain which was noticeable. golper, reed, picard, walker, they all played their hearts out and I wish the seniors the best. ill see walker next year at ucla! no apaches down great season
F-ball Einstein:
Sorry, but TC's win against La Puente should not be (a)credited to good coaching. Good kids, yes. But mostly Williams Do.
Goldenarm (I ask you because your not blinded by your devotion) or any other TC fan(s):
Does TC have a Special Teams coach or to be more precise a punt returns coach? If any of you were at the LP game I'm sure you all are aware of what I'm talking about, without getting into specifics.
Congrats to TC (the nephew) for the win, congrats to the 'Mead (although they lost...damn)for a decent season and congrats to my bro. @ St. Paul for beating Quartz Hill and advancing into the 2nd rd. (2 for 3 aint bad...right?)
Well Goldenarm:
It seems that us RHL boys know what we are talking about afterall. My prediction was that TC would bounce back and Win against a stubborn LaPuente Team. Monrovia's Marquise Williams ran like a Mad Man over at cantwell tonight. He was injured in the second half but came back in the last minute of the fourth quarter an led the wildcats down the field and scored the final TD with 24 seconds left. Good luck against Bishop Diego.
The Bulldogs pulled through it again. We're still #1 in my eyes. I'm proud to be a Bulldog 'cause we're going to the ship and winning it all.
Anon 10:53: You're absolutely right, the Prep League should be in the same division as Maranatha. Rio Hondo Prep has three fewer players than an 8-man school I covered in the past and they're going up against schools with over 1,000 kids. Who's idea was that?
congrats to the apaches on a fantastic season. You didn't let the injuries keep you from hanging around and threatening a very good team. You should all be very proud of what you were able to accomplish. Best of luck to all the seniors.
Congrats to PHS in beating Chaffey and the rest of the WSGV for a strong showing in the opening round. Good luck to all!
I’m bursting with “BULLDOG” pride! Them kids played their a$$’s off! The coach’s coached! The “DOG’S” came back from 30-6 and did it with “HEART”! My brother finally went to his nephew “Trump” and he was not to be denied! I’m a proud father! Arness Ikner, played like a demon! Tyron Crock rebounded from last weeks give away and showed some heart! The “DOGS” have a shot at shocking the world! The inland Empire plays a different style of football, but I really like our chances!!!!!! I hope we could get some “Stang” support. But, if not, oh well! I’m back “SMILING”! Way to go “Vikings”!!!!!! LET’S GO “DENA TEAMS”!
Yours truly!
Bring it on...Bishop Diego.
Good win TC. Showed a lot of courage and tenacity tonight. Just goes to show how good coaching and good kids can do.
As usual, Alhambra flames out in the first round. Gee where have we seen this movie before. Oh yeah 99,2000,01,02,03,04, etc. A coaching change is overdue.
Why do I get the feeling St. Francis will still be ranked 2nd or 3rd in the Star News rankings next week?
Sucks to hear that my panthers lost. Congrats to Schurr.
CONGRATULATIONS PASADENA HIGH FOOTBALL SQUAD. COACHING STAFF PULLS THROUGH WITH GREAT BULLDOG PRIDE. THE TURKEY TUSSLE IS WHAT WOKE UP THE SLEEPING DOGS!
My congratulations to Muir on a fine season. Sad it ended so soon.
Muir fans, let's rally behind PHS and Blair and cheer them on through the playoffs. Let those other teams know what PASADENA is all about.
Pasadena dropped a bomb on 9 and 1 Chaffey. Maybe it wasn't an "upset" after all. Congratulations Bulldogs.
Maranatha Wins Tonight!!!!! St. Margarets will require DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE!!! No defense, it's a blow-out, trust me.
Way to go Rio Hondo League!
I am so proud of the Maranatha offensive and defensive lines. Who would have thought Maranatha would be here after losing their first and second string quarterbacks? Sophomore Danny Beckwith has risen to the occasion. Thank God for the spiritual bond these players have and the love they have for each other!!
Prep League has no business being in that division.
RHL represents.
I second that - Maranatha rocks - a bit of a nail biter for a time - but a great last 4 minutes!
HEY EVERYONE THE MUSTANGS LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAHAHA
THEY WAS THINKING THEY WERE GONNA WIN WITH NO PROBLEM HAHAHA U GUY LOST MUSTANGS
BUT I HAVE 2 GIVE CREDIT TO NUMBER 51 DID A HECK OF A JOB. 52 ALSO DID A GREAT JOB. 44 CAN'T WAIT 2 SEE U NEXT YEAR HE DID A GOOD JOB AS WELL. SORRY 33 NO MORE CHANCE 4 U BUT GOOD LUCK IN THE NEXT LEVEL
CV LEAGUE CHAMPS 2008!!!!!!!!!!
Maranatha Rocks....
GOOOOOOOOO MUSTANG!
We all love you John Muir win or not you are John Muir with pride.
Todd Mizuki
JMHS Class '74
Does anyone know what radio station I might catch the PHS vs Chaffey game on?
Muir has a great flag and nice uniforms. That's why they are #1.
Maranatha will play host to St. Margaret's
From CIF Website - Second Round Match-ups:
(LET'S ALL MAKE IT OUT OF THE FIRST ROUND!!!)
Second Round:
Monrovia will be at home vs Paraclete, but on the Road vs Sierra Vista
TC will be at home in either event (vs either Bishop Diego or Mary Star)
Blair will be at home vs Duarte, but on the road vs Valley Christian.
La Salle will be on the road in either event (vs. either Santa Clara or Village Christian)
I know someone will comment "let's not look ahead of the first round" but I thought many would like to know to make day after Thanksgiving plans.
