the years st. francis made it to the semi's they used the speed they had on the outside with scott stevens and ray mac. Scott was the Pasadena all area player of the year his senior year. This year Garcia was not used at all. With 20 receptions he averaged 25 yards per catch and still impressed colleges and got his name out there. But bonds chose not to use him. instead he tried to run the ball with a small line and a sophmore running back. Had he used deitrich as a receiver like he was supposed to and let Kyle Morgan be the running back it would have been a completely different team. You are right about Heyworth though after he went down it really hurt us, but still, with Garcia and Riley on the outsides and morgan running the ball they would have won league easily. But he chose to run with his hyped up sophmore. And further more i'm not a parent just an alum that knows football. Bonds messed up, hes a great coach, but he messed up this year.

sf would dominate the pacific league. their loss to arcadia was a fluke. i think the admin wont allow it.

Why don't you guys recruit? Stanford recruits (with higher standards than the rest of PAC-10). Ivy League recruits. I think it is time for SF to either start recruiting like their competition or move into the Pacific League.

i meant only school that dosen't recruit in the mission league. Your probably the parent of a kid that never plays, so blame it on coaching politics whatever makes you feel better. Coach Bonds and his staff are one of the best you can find. SF should be honored to have a coach like coach Bonds. Its easy to blame him but like i said before look at personel. Their fisrt string qb dosen't go down the season ends very differently.

bad play calling huh? thats funny because the plays called were the same one's called the years sf made it to the semi-final games. Take a look at personel retard. SF is the only school that dosent recruit and they still do pretty well. If the admin allowed the coaches to recruit i promiss different results.

i didnt say they were great, u guys really dont understand what i'm trying to get at. The Defense was great, but the offense, thanks to horrific play calling was not so good. We probably led the league in 3 and outs, not giving our defense enough rest in crucial situations, like the St. Paul game, when they won it with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

scott, when is the all area team coming out?

If St. Francis was so great how did they do in the playoffs this year? Oh, thats right, you stayed home.

yeah you held us to 3 points, because our offensive play calling was horrible. Our defense allowed the least amount of points in the whole league. St. Paul (7), Chaminade (19), and Alemany (10). How many points did Alemany and Chaminade run up on you guys????? Yeah thats what i thought. I didnt say that our team was awesome, the kids were great, but the coaches ruined it for them this year. They used the sophmore to much, they didnt utilize the talent they had on the outside.

WHOA ST.FRANCIS HAD GOOD LINEMEN
IF THATS THE CASE ALMOST ALL THE TEAMS IN THE PACIFIC LEAGUE WOULDVE WON THIS ONE

anonymous,

How many points did SPs defense give up to your awesome team? Oh that right 3 so whos D was better. Please you guys were 4-6 get a clue. Lucky is defined when preparation meets opportunity. Hey my SP education is great, I get to boss around 4 St. Francis alums, hahaha.

the St. Francis Defense was the best D in the league.... by far. If any ones defense deserves to have their whole team honored its us. Defense is spelled with an S not a C btw, great St. Paul education obviously. We held St. Paul to just 7 points and kept Aubrey Haynes to hardly any yards, except for that touchdown run. Damn he got lucky. Goes to show that defense does not win championships, a good balance of both offense and defense does. Again the St. Francis play calling this year was horrible and it showed in that St. Paul game.

I think that whole St. Paul Defence should have made the All League Team. Without them, St. Paul might not have won the Title. Vinny Marshall and the inspirational Daniel Cordova are definitely missing from the list
