BOYS BASKETBALL: Correct game time

What time is it?

Big Ben.jpg

This is one of those moments I've been expecting to happen. A classic case of MaxPreps meets HighSchoolSports.net.
The correct game time for Wednesday's game between Maranatha and Renaissance Academy indeed is at 7:30 p.m. at Maranatha.

MaxPreps, the site everyone normally uses for schedules and stats had the game at 6 p.m. It's a site that Renaissance Academy coach Sid Cooke likes to refer us to.

HighSchoolSports.net is a site schools are beginning to use instead of sending out hard copies. It had the game at 7:30 p.m., and I couldn't find information on Maranatha's site.

Here's the catch, Maranatha coach Doug Ravasdy has always referred me to MaxPreps for info as well.

Well, at least someone found the correct time for us.

Question: Does Maranatha have a chance of pulling off the upset?

RA by alot. Maranatha is good, but not even close to the level of RA.

Since you asked, “does Maranatha have a chance of pulling off the upset?”, of course they do but what a task Ravasdy has given the team. Seeing the score of the LCHS, 3rd seed in 3-AA division, game against Renaissance the Minutemen will have their hands full. I was at the Marshall game Sat and the team looked good but will need to step it up to have a chance against the top ranked 3-A team. We have good depth on the bench and I think Rav will need to go to it to have a chance against RA.
The Minutemen have a huge league game this coming Sat against the top seed and defending 5-AA Pacific Hills team who they are tied with at 3 and 0 in the Delphic league.
I for one am looking forward to the game tomorrow and hope it will be a good match between two local schools.
