4. Renaissance Academy makes it to CIF boys basketball title game.

6. San Marino wins CIF boys tennis title.
7. Keppel wins boys and girls swimming titles.
8. Muir dominant in track and field.

Scott,
You may need to implement some screening. I did not post the blurb below about Fred.

I don't disagree, it definitely was no fairy tale ending to the Vikes season.

Poly? What tournament? And as for Blair, they did have a tremendous turnaround this season but any team that gets outed in the second round of the playoffs despite being favored and with as many unsportsmanlike penalties as Blair had, doesn't deserve the story of the year.

Pasadena Poly baseball winning the Elks Tournament certainly earns a spot.

Goldenarm said:

2007 will have to go down as the year Blair came back into the winner's circle...whether or not the Vikes continue forward as a strong RHL competitor or they falter and return to an easy "W". 2007 was the breakout year either way.
I rememember early season bloggers each week saying Blair's wins were a fluke, and yet they continued to win every Friday..proving many wrong along the way. Personally I hope the Vikes and Tip continue fielding strong teams every season, it is better for the RHL overall.

Being a TC football supporter, 2007's best memory for me was the decisive win over a favored La Puente team in the round 1 playoff game. Turnovers were a key, but the team played extroardinarily motivated and aggressive. Second memory would be the game changing effect Williams Do had against San Marino, when TC first employed the single wing this season, placing Do alone in the backfield as QB. Watching Do clip off long run after long run, and seeing the TC offense and bench come alive with momentum.

The toe to toe shellacking from Bishop Diego closed out the year. That was memorable in the fact that TC has miles to go to reach the next level.

I have to agree. La Canada's game against Campbell hall and top recruit JRue Holiday and then advancing to the State semifinals only to fall to Artesia, one of the nation's top ranked teams. That was an incredible run. It was supposed to be a rebuilding year but the Spartans had an incredible season and went farther than any other team in the area.

How about Adam Malik and the La Canada Spartans taking Campbell Hall to the limit in a game that was suppose to be a blow-out?

scott,

will you be covering signing day on feb 6th? only person i can think of who would be signing to a major d1 college is kevan walker. ive heard that he is no longer a lock with ucla. oregon state, arizona, cal, and also oregon have offered him and hes taking trips this month. it will be very very interesting on where he goes because i loved watching this kid these past 2 years he is a hardnosed football player who plays with passion and to see him play at the next level is great. hopefully u can cover that and even take pix of him signing!!
