I'm not sure what's going on but my browser said that your blog is a source of fishing attack.

I never thought I would agree with this opinion, but I’m starting to see things differently.

I know this is really boring and you are skipping to the next comment, but I just wanted to throw you a big thanks - you cleared up some things for me!

First week RHL standings:

LC 2-0-0
SM 1-0-1
SP 1-0-1
TC 0-0-2
M 0-2-0
B 0-2-0

Overall RHL standings (based on MaxPreps) are difficult due to unposted scores:

LC 6-3-0*
SM 4-2-2**
SP 3-6-4
TC 2-2-2***
M 4-6-1
B 0-5-0

* - missing Burroughs (Ridgecrest, CA) score?

** - missing 2 Alhambra games, Glendale and Rosemead?

*** - missing PHS and Marshall scores?

Any help would be great. Thanks.

I am a proud Arcadia High School parent reporting that we beat CV 2 - 1 at CV's home field. Great game ladies. Go Apaches!

soccer fan..Now that is EXACTLY the kind of angst we need to get this thread going.
The Rio Hondo League is weak this year...LC will probably win it and get drilled very early in the D4 playoffs
The Prep League (D3) will be a local battle for second to powerhouse Chadwick. Westridge, Mayfield, Poly and Flintridge Prep should all contend.
Flintridge Sacred Heart can play it's best soccer ever and will still never get by the first round of the D1 playoffs...FP, why don't you get that team moved to a division it might have a chance to succeed in?
Maranatha is the best so far this season. Hopefully the Minutepeople can bring home a D5 crown before being moved to a division more suited for it's current enrollment.

did LC really run up 12 goals on blair?

good sportmanship....pad the stats all you want but LC scored NO goals against

CV, Marantha or Burbank....what does that tell you about their scoring machine.

South Pasadena's girls team started out with a rocky, losing players to injuries and the TOR among other things, but came from behind yesterday to take the win over monrovia... la canada will be next

In the two La Salle victories this week, freshman mid-fielder Samantha Whitehead scored four goals. Including all three for the hat trick in the 3-0 victory over St. Monica.

Who is having a better week than that?

Many said that LaSalle girls were down and out this year, but they beat Bishop Amat and St Monica's, this week! That's 2 for league!

It is nice to see our girls getting the top spot. They are doing a great job and we are very proud of them.

"This thread is dead", said Fred.

No one led.

"Go ahead. Put it to bed," they all said.

It seems that no one wants to go out on a limb and brag about their programs. No coaches report scores locally, perhaps to be more of a "surprise" to other/opposing teams, in terms of who scores, shots taken, saves, etc.
This is unfortunate for the kids who like to occasionally see their names in the box scores.

FredJ said:

What happened to all you girls soccer fanatics? What's going on in the Rio Hondo League? FYI, I was a little surprised La Salle beat Amat the other day, that Amat team is much improved under a new coach, and I thought La Salle was way down.
