I’m a serial-commenter. It’s probably because I have an opinion on everything an
not sure if its like that
I play polo for the Charter Oak girl's team.this year i played jv. we are in the same division and league as Bonita. our girls killed their jv team away and took home and showed them, once again, who's boss. Bonita has always been seen as the top competitors and "the ones to beat," but when a team who is normally not a threat comes a kills the 'top team,' maybe the future isnt so bright. CO hopes to bring it back this year with alot of new young stars on our Varsity team. Our goal: beat Bonita.
Good luck to all teams this season. hope to see you at CIF (:
Bonita High School has a great new coach
i think that the trinity league water polo is great to watch. the players are great and you cant judge water polo in ca. without seeing one of these games.
There is a new CIF Girls Water Polo poll out.
El Rancho moves to 4 dropping TC to 5 (could drop more since La Canada is not ranked), but La Canada is now the favorite to take Rio Hondo. Probably the best in our area.
For those who can find this blog.
La Canada takes Temple City 10-4. Outside shooting and saves from LC's goalie makes the difference. LC looks good for Rio Hondo.
TC's JV win 9-2.
Div. 3 news: Ayala finishes 12th, Whittier 16th in Santa Barbara TOC in a field of the best teams anywhere.
Riverside Poly takes 5 Counties Tourney with wins over El Rancho, Arlington, and host Murrieta Valley.
Nice article on the SPas vs Monrovia game. Your blog comments did sound like you were at the game.
Also saw the ROI comments from football. They sound a little worried to share the spot light. Its a big world guys expand your mind.
SP beats Bell Gardens 20-0.
Bell Gardens wasn't very good, but SP played well.
Bell Gardens used to be a powerhouse but they have fallen.
SP might be a little better than I thought. They played their worst game I have seen them play against Monrovia, but they still came out ahead. They play Bell Gardens today, a major non-league challenge, I will let you know how it goes.
Thanks Scott.
TC Varsity and JV both won against San Marino. Sorry I'm not sure of the numbers. I'll post again when I find out.
South Pas stormed back with the final five goals of the match in a 7-3 win over Monrovia.
NONLEAGUE
Ayala 7, Temple City 6
Dani Curran scored three goals and Alex Ford added two goals for Ayala (10-1), which led 7-2 at halftime. Goalie Caitlin Dement had nine saves for the Bulldogs. Jazmin Cardenas scored three goals and goalie Hannah Hogue made five saves for host Temple City (3-3).
Ayala looked good, their goalie made great stops. They go to Santa Barbara tourney this weekend. Definately a top Div. III team.
JV - Temple City 12, Ayala 1
The JV's also topped Whittier 12-3 in December and have a nice 10-1 record losing to the Burbank JV Tournament champs Westlake.
TC has a strong program that is going to continue to be strong because they have a club team that practices at their pool. From what I understand most of those kids on that team are TC players. I am interested to see how the SP vs Monrovia game goes and if TC can beat LaCanada. It is hard to believe that the top of Rio Hondo is going to be anyone but TC or LC.
So hard to get scores of water polo games. Here is my part.
Varsity: TC wins Monrovia
JV: TC 10 - Monrovia 3
I only saw the JV game. Monrovia scored first with 2 in the 2nd qurter after a 0-0 1st. TC answered back to tie 2-2, and eventually pulled away after an ejection hurt Monrovia's scoring chances.
League starts this week, and there is a big match up between South Pas and Monrovia who are both supposed to be moving in on La Canada and Temple City in the Rio Hondo League.
We will see what happens there
Who would you say is the strongest team in the area is? Instead of downing teams you clearly know nothing about.
its not about LC, its never about LC, LC is a horrible team. I see them drowning in CIF
Its All About LC This year!!!
I would say the top 5 are:
La Canada
LaSalle
TC
SP
Monrovia
Although Monrovia could make a serious move this year.
It seems like the Rio Hondo League is getting stronger every year.
