Mann as a Lady Viking we worked hard on getting the #1 spot on Rio Hondo league champs as we play Monrovia friady we are goin work are buts off to try to win a championship cause there not going to give it to us being League shamps 4 years in a row we going to have to earn it and thats what were going to do because we deserve it......Go Vikings

Where does arcadia look to hire such oddball girl basketball coaches? A few years back, there was a good lower level coach, but left somewhere.

kudos to the lady vikings on their win, but they WILL NOT earn respect until they beat defending rio hondo league champs monrovia.they know whats at stake if they lose.i highly doubt that BLAIR will come into monrovias house on wednesday an come out victorious(lets not get crazy here)!!!

Didn't Monrovia just LOSE to the same Keppel team AND La Canada teams that BLAIR beat, both by double digits? Please, Monrovia better check themselves even if they have an edge in a home game next week against Blair; but they DEFINATELY won't beat them twice.

Boy, mtown sounds like he's trying to talk Monrovia into the Top Ten... maybe they should play for it! Oh after Wednesday, they won't get there, as they will lose to the same short-handed (2 injuries) Blair team that beat La Canada, Keppel and in summer only lost to Muir by a bucket.

the season opener with monrovia and la canada was a surprise! that is true but trust monrovia already knows what is on the line if they lose again in league(not likely to happen).the teams that defeated monrovia were all CIF ranked contenders...(Bishop Amat, Long Beach Wilson,etc..). you cant go off of records if thats the case then thats why Blair is ranked #5 because you are looking at wins & losses.the only team that deserves their spot at #1 is Muir(ALL RESPECT).

Losing four of five is what kept Monrovia out.
What's interesting is that Monrovia lost to the same La Canada team that Blair beat. Then the Wildcats turn around and beat South Pas. This league could be fun this year.

top 10...well as we know monrovia girls have had a tough schedule(3 TOURNAMENTS in 3 WEEKS, must i add took 2nd in the arroyo tournament, and CHAMPIONSHIP in the claremont tourney!!! can blair compete with that.....NO!!!! so why are they even ranked with that RIDICULOUS preseason schedule playing teams like waverly and buckley(who are they?)they might as well be playin themselves!! they cant see monrovia in the rio hondo league i GUARANTEE THAT!!

The sad thing about Arcadia is they passed on Coach Jensen and now he's got Blair beating La Canada & Keppel??? What a shame the AD hasn't chosen wisely for coaches... they've gone through a couple already this year.

Basketball observer - have you paid attention to the fact that we're 2-0 in league? And we were 10-4 going into league play which means aside from the teams you listed, we won 5 other games. Good luck to everyone in the Rio Hondo league.

Academics is a huge part of life and there is not a better public institution than Arcadia. Just go look at the test scores and average SAT scores and you'll see how competitive it is.

Where then are you looking to place your daughter? Probably the schools I named in my last post.

Blair is having a nice season but lets not get crazy here. Yes they beat Keppel but who else is on their schedule Waverley, Alverno, Mission, Mayfield Campbell Hall and Marymount - Any other team in the Rio Hondo League would be 6-0 too. Nice season folks but lets not get crazy here

Where are you going to send your child to school then? Flintridge? La Salle? Maranatha? Go ahead and pay for an education that is less than that of Arcadia.

Turmoil at Arcadia
1)To much interference by parents who have very little or no knowledge about the game
2)A totally incompetent coach.
2)favoritism towards certain players
3)No preparation, no adjustments in games.
4)No integrity within the varsity team. Players that miss practice continue to play. Hard working players continue to ride the bench. It appears they earned their 2-13 record through no ones fault but their own. Its a shame as the program was improving over the last few years.They are one of the worst teams ever at AHS. I am the dad that has a pretty good freshman ready to enter next year.We have already been contacted by colleges. No way would I let her play at Arcadia, not for this coach anyway.No harm meant just a touch of reality.

Congrats to Blair's girls for their league opening win over San Marino.

San Marino is not in the top ten because the Don Lugo tourny is horrible, so no kudos for them.

They had lost five of seven heading into Wednesday's game against La Canada. Tough call to keep them out though.

Blair's girls deserve their ranking. They've worked hard this season and are going to continue to work hard during league.
