What a relief to learn a article that might be finally in actuality importance reading! I’ve been seeking all-around on the subject of this issue but men and women just put waste posts, or brief empty posts. I have noticed a couple vids on youtube but it’s now the same as reading a good article.
I normally don’t reply lying on websites except you contain several high-quality comprehensible article.

You're my hero! I have been looking virtually all evening for something such as this to use in a story I'm writing.
I must say,the time I have taken to read this blog is worth it. thanks again.
did both sqauds keep their same coaches?
Hey, Arcadia and Monrovia fans who will be your pitchers?
Arcadia has their JV pitcher from last year Patricia Stark.
stillman will not play for arcadia
I really have nothing more than a guess... As for Arcadia: rumor has it that Stephanie Stillman may come out of "retirement".
No idea at Monrovia other than another rumor they have a rec ball freshman coming in?
Anon: Feel free to post who you think will be the pitchers for Monrovia and Arcadia.
Still no word as to who might be the Pitchers for Monrovia and Arcadia????
...even worse (see Maxpreps) that was 117 walks in 144 innings! On the bright side Sommers walked only 2 batters the whole season!
Maranatha was and is a good team. Their 2007 season can be summed as follows: 117 WALKS in 22 games! You do the math.
Actually if you look at their record on Maxpreps you will see that San Marino was their closest loss at 5-6. The majority of the rest they lost by 8-10 runs and, although they seemed to have Valley Christian's number, most of the teams they beat were struggling teams.
I'd say they need to show some real improvement this year if they are going to be contenders in their league. They do have some talented individuals.
Hey I saw Maranantha play 4 times last year. They were a very good team that had some pitching (control) problems. They ate up both Prep teams they played (Poly and Mayfield) who did go to the playoffs... Most of their games were a lot like the San Marino game mentioned below. If you look past them you are in for a big surprise.
We need to see who shows up and plays ( this is about tee-age girls, right?)before we will get a real idea about all these schools BUT lets keep the facts straight...
Yes,Maranatha lost to San Marino by A (one) run while still giving up about 12 walks's in 5 innings! Their last game was a victory over league powerhouse VALLEY who were CIF Finalists in 2006. ( You remember them,Monrovia?)and they still have the leading hitter from the pitching strong Olympic League returning.
1.TC
2.SP
3.Alverno
4.Monrovia (pride)
5.Maranatha
Who will be the area's top Pitchers? (Escamilla, Parada, Sommers, Meyerson, Ellingsworth?
Did Ellingsworth pitch in the summer and/or fall?
Does Arcadia, Monrovia or LC have ANY pitching??
Who will catch/hit at SP?
How will LaSalle replace Beaston?
Who is going to be Arcadia's coach and pitcher?
Who is their pitcher?
arcadia .
1st off dusty gibbs has been practicing with the team and she will play. caitlin "curly" grimes and morgan barchan will be back along with gibbs and they will be a team to reckon with.
I agree, Arcadia and Monrovia are on wait and see basis after losing so many elements of their teams.
I wouldn't put Monrovia to far down, their program is still there.
Many softball players work hard at their game to even make some of these teams. It should be a fun season.
Lets be realistic here:
1. TC (They lost no one from last year)
2. SP (They lost one player from last year)
* Both teams lost very close games in CIF to a very good El Segundo team, who went to the CIF championship game last year. Both teams elevated their non-league schedules beyond any team in the area last year and we can assume they will do the same this year.
3. FSH (Jessica Ferri)
4. La Salle (The nature of their program will carry them)
5.Alverno (They need to challenge themselves with non- league games before they can be taken seriously)
Arcadia, LaCanada,Westridge and Poly are the best of the rest.
Maranantha has a lot to prove not making it to CIF last year. They have some young talent and Kimmie Sommers is a stud, but they also lost 4 seniors last year. The previous comment is very optimistic. Last year they lost to SP 11-0, San Marino, and they only won three league games against the weakest opponents in their league.
Where is Jenna Rodriguez now? She sure was a heck of a competitor!
Local Preseason Top Five:
1. TC (A lot returning... should start out in top spot until they get knocked off.)
2. Alverno (Escamilla is very good pitcher but not much of a supporting cast outside Sarah Trevino and they play in super weak division.
3. Maranatha. Pitcher Kimmie Sommers will hit her spots and they have TWO former All area 1st teamers in Juniors: Sommers and Marney Hillier.
4. South Pasadena: Parada is one of the best around but she too will not have much around her.Could be a case of good pitching beating good hitting?
5.FSH. Jess Ferri looked pretty good the first half of her Sophomore season and she pitched ALL summer! Can she carry her team?
Others to watch:
LaSalle (Katie Tripoli)
Monrovia (Brooke Cowell)
Arcadia (Will Dusty Gibbs
play?)
Poly (Jordan Richard-Craven
Westridge(Taylor Daugherty)
