It doesn't matter whether they were earned runs or not they scored which is all that counts... and as for the game never being in doubt, from what I heard is that when Dearth was brought in it was because South Pas was coming back.
does it matter whether the game was close or not and from what I heard was the game only was over when TC brought in Dearth in the 6th.
I was at the TC vs. SP game and the 4 errors by SP only led to 2 runs. If you saw the game it was never in doubt even with all the TC miscues. South Pasadena always has people taking at the start of the season and then promtly finish 3-12 in league. I guess this year it will be 4-11. Congrats Tigers. Does anyone know when was the last time South Pasadena actually competed for a league championship or playoff spot for that matter?
The first post mentions 5 errors by TC... They fail to mention the 4 errors by South Pasadena that led to 4 Runs for TC.
Errors are part of games, but I see what the first post was saying. A lot of times people see scores like 7-5 and get wrong idea of games. Sometimes 7-5 was not as close as the score indicates, but an 6-2 game might be real close. That's why baseball is so hard to rank. Other times a team can be out hit, or out pitched and win based on one bad pitch or error in the field. It's what makes baseball great.
I guess errors aren't part of the game anymore? TC has some major holes at a couple of positions that will come back to haunt them if they are not fixed.
Only reason the TC vs. SP game was close was the 5 errors by Temple City. Otherwise the game is 7-2. Even then the game was never in doubt for Temple City.
