Football: How transfers change landscape of teams

| | Comments (5) |

This is sort of a re-hash of a post from a few weeks ago, but it's still a hot-button issue.

With the recent rash of transfers out of Monrovia High School, my question to you is how can schools like Monrovia recover from losing so many top players? Also, should the players that left, regardless of their reasoning for leaving, be able to play next season? When is enough enough when it comes to transfers?
How many more from other schools might be in the works? Are the CIF transfer rules simply window dressing?

Questions:
1. Why do players leave the West San Gabriel Valley to play in the East SGV?
2. What other schools draw kids from the West SGV other than Amat?
3. What would make East SGV want to come to West SGV schools?
4. How much is this about kids making the best decision as opposed to the desire to be on a winning team?
5. What can be fixed to keep players from transferring?
6. How does St. Francis, which has lost some good players to the transfer bug, play into this one way or another?
7. How are other sports affected?

Often people get a divorce or the need to move is easier to sell items and make a fresh start in their new location. You will find designer clothes and Replica Designer Handbags comfortably in second-hand shops, consignment stores and thrift shops.

I am extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it's rare to see a nice blog like this one these days.. :)

Congrats Rick sanchez in order to be dismissed by CNN, thanx for preventing us observing ur egotistic outlook then them glasses fall.

Monrovia will recover as soon as we name the right head coach. Transfers are expected in times of uncertainty.

scott, i hope you dont mind me changing the subject here but i just read on fred's blog about the pacific league joining the southeast division in 2008-2009.

i guess readers can go to his blog, but being an Arcadia homer, I only care about them.

Here is the proposed change/our new division.

Southeast Division: Almont, Del Rio, Miramonte, Pacific, San Antonio.
