I think that Phil Galfond is a great role model to have in poker. Not only is he one of the top players in the world, he really is fantastic with things like bankroll management, game selection, avoiding tilt and keeping a level head at all times which are a really important part of the game.

Ive been meaning to read this and just never got a chance. Its an issue that Im very interested in, I just started reading and Im glad I did. Youre a great blogger, one of the best that Ive seen. Yes, I am going to the Arcadia vs Cresenta Valley game. I try to make it to all of the Arcadia vs Claremont and Arcadia vs CV. By the way, Arcadia plays Claremont at Claremont on the 24th, thats off this game though. CV has a scrappy team and Arcadia has fire power and brains, should be interesting to watch:] And the crowds at these games are intense, just in case you were debating on going or not, it is worth the drive. One of LC's outside hitters (#6 - my son) was out sick for the SM game and will be out today for the TC game. TC's middle, Aaron, has quick hands and feet - plays with a number of RHL players in the off season - and will be fun to watch. Go LC! Scott, great to see v-ball coverage.

Temple City is at La Canada today. 3:30 first serve. This is an interesting matchup this season for those who follow Rio Hondo League volleyball. I give Temple City a slight edge, even though it's at LC.

The rankings are done in the morning or afternoon before Tuesday games. So basically, it's Tuesday to Monday.

wait,i dont understand how you completely drop SM out from your Top 5 especially when they had a huge win over La Canada yesterday. What's going on with these rankings?

La Salle beat Cathedral in four competitive games, so the Lancers are 1-0 in League.

San Marino defeated La Canada in 4 games yesterday at SM. No games for South Pas until April 16. Temple City looked good against Gabrielino in a 4 game win at TC. Gabrielino is improved from last season, but has started league play with 3 losses.
