With spring conditioning going on, it’s time to start laying odds on who will be the teams to watch, and who might be a sleeper.

My opinion: I think San Gabriel and La Salle are definitely teams to keep an eye on. Both have solid quarterbacks returning. Both have receiver issues to deal with.
Muir has a good quarterback with speed galore at receiver. Could this team be more pass-happy than last year with Youngblood? Arcadia has Golper, but who’s going to fill the void left by the departure of Walker and Amhaz? Monrovia has Marquise Williams returning and that’s a major plus. Will Pasadena find a way to fill massive voids? Same with Blair and Alhambra. Will Flintridge Prep, Maranatha and Rio Hondo Prep be factors in the small-school circuit?
