Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
Reason is the wise mans guide example the fools.

I beg to differ, this kid just keeps climbing the ladder and improving day by day. He is pitching great for the CSUF Titans right now, and i see him only improving, his only weakness right now , cryptonite.
Carreon (P), Salzman (C), & Wong (Inf) from SFHS. Carreon was BTL all year considering run support and defense. Should have won 9 or 10. Other than Carreon, Salzman caught what was a JV staff flawlessly. Hit .350 despite leading the team in SAC's. Wong was moved around the infield like a pawn in a chess game. SS by trade but ended up at 3rd. Made some dazzling plays even though he was playing out of his normal position. Hit .380 despite many distractions. All played in the tougher Mission League and played brilliantly in the Elks Tourney.
Baseball All-Area team comes out June 18. we'll see who makes it.
Scott, when does the all-area team come out? Who in the RHL will make that team? Will the three pitchers from the RHL make the team?
Ruben it seems that most of us here remember a guy named Ryan Tucker (TC) who is with the Marlins AA affiliate. His ERA is 0.97 and he's only given up 1 HR in 46+ innings, so when you make statements about being the best in SO. CAL in a long long time you're comparing him to Tucker & Trevor Bell, I think not.
AJ Talt and John Michael Pennington from Pasadena Poly have both been formidable starters throughout the season. Talt is 8-0 with a .542 ERA and 80Ks. Pennington is 11-2 with a 1.92 ERA with 71 Ks. Pennington also leads the team in batting with a .377BA followed by Talt's .364BA. Both of these players have performed well not only against the Prep league but also in non League competition against the likes of Alhambra, TC, Brentwood, South Pas and Ontario Christian.
Noe Ramirez is best kid to come out of East L.A, San Gabriel Valley, and probably So. Cal in a lon long time. He has been a solid pitcher since freshman year, he HAS to be Player of the year, he's on his way to Cal State Fullerton and will be just as good or better i believe!
RAMIREZ should definitely be the player of the year!! This kid takes care of business! Not only is he a stud on the mound, he's a top hitter in the SGV. Not to mention he's a stand up guy on & off the field. Cal State Fullerton has a solid player with a very bright future coming their way......... Congrats Ramirez!
wow St. Monica real tough team there.............

DEL REY LEAGUE
La Salle 17, St. Monica 3
Michael Palffy (7-2) pitched six innings with 10 strikeouts to earn the victory, as well as hitting two home runs and driving in four runs for La Salle (14-9, 2-6). Ryan Doeppel added a home run and double for La Salle.
how can you not consider ryan doeppel and michael palffy from la salle..both batting over 400 in the hardest league in the valley by far.. the del ray league with amant st paul and bishop montgomery....doeppel batting 468 overall and 485 in leauge with total of 37 hit 24 rbis 13 doubles 2 triples and 4 bombs..9 rbis in league and 3 hrs in league...michael palffy batting 406 overal and 379 in league..total 28 hits 29 rbis 6 homeruns...14 rbis in leauge and 4 hrs in league also a good pitcher with a 7-3 record and 1 save...a 3.52 era with 61 ks and only 18 walks in 53.2 innings.. complete game against arcadia.. 7ks 1 earned run...9 ks against amant # 5 team in california...both these guys should be up for all area and playher of the year.. these guys play in the hardest leauge in the valley and still dominate...half the kids in the valley couldnt put up the stats like these kids are in this leauge
Eric Smith, Junior from La Canada [SS/RHP]. Eric leads the RHL in hitting as a junior @ .627 [37 of 59 ABs] and OBP @ .728--far outdistancing his closest competitors. He did the same as a sophomore [.540 on 34 of 63] but only received 2nd Team consideration. Considering he plays SS and has only made 1 error in each of the last 2 seasons, hits against quality pitchers like Richard Kilbury, Bryan Dearth, Nick Wilson, Eugene Kim, and several others, he's clearly a superior hitter. Add to this a 3-1 record pitching with ERA of 2.50 and 34 Ks in 28 innings and only 8 walks and it's obvious he's a well rounded player destined for a D1 program. Too bad he plays on a team that makes so many defensive errors otherwise their won/loss record would be stellar. This kid DESERVES 1st Team this year!!!
We ultimately pick them.
What is the selection process?
Who picks the nominees?
Yes, he leads the team in hitting and is undefeated on the mound with a no-decision on Friday.
Ramirez should definetely be in the mix...Not only is he a stud on the mound, but he rakes...He has to be hitting over 500.. Scott?
Rutherford has been a stud all year. Arcadia baseball would be very poor if it were not for him.
He is one of the top, if not THE top pitcher in the area.
He's definitely in the hunt.
Junior Bryce Rutherford Pitcher, from Arcadia shoulddefinitely be in the hunt for player of the year.......here is an article from the latimes
