Thanks for the submit. Hold the terrific work.
Super cool logo designs! I like the textures.
interesting overview of logos, but, extra fascinating comments. identities aren't manufactured by logos alone, but by their location inside of a larger set of collateral. no logo is an island and none will need to be totally judged in isolation of your way they are put to use.
Sorry for the massive evaluate, but I am really loving the brand new Zune, and hope th is, as nicely as the fantastic testimonials some other individuals have written, will aid you decide if it's the proper choice for you personally.
I would have thought Tropicana is new/old shitstain of a logo would have gotten worst identity?- If your overall brand is pressured to go again towards the past sense, the people today who created it must really suck.

I thought AOL was worst in the 12 months. Select a single background treatment and stick to it; otherw ise your brand??? arrives off as a brainstorming session.
High quality info here! Keep up the great work. I love the feelings being expressed.
gracias por tu blog, te felicito! En Argentina siempre se hace complejo conseguir un website como este. Nuevamente muchísimas gracias!
I agree with your thoughts here and I really love your blog! I've bookmarked it so that I can come back & read more in the future.
Great wordpress blog here.. It's hard to find quality writing like yours these days. I really appreciate people like you! take care and see you soon
Sorry for the huge review, but I'm really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it's the right choice for you.
I've always been a big fan of Teamsons furniture.
There is actually obviously a lot to know about this. I think you produced some truly points in Features also.
nice content ! Regards
Huckster- I hear you...I see you working Scott. Most Burbank kids go to GCC to play, but we send cheerleaders to PCC and GCC.
GA,
Last year's starting freshman lineman goes by the name of Danny Huerta. I don't know much about him other than the fact that he played really well last year considering his age. He is not built to play fullback, but it is great to know that he'll be a mainstay for the next three years at the Stangs house. BTW, can ANYBODY ever say they started FOUR GAMES at the Rose Bowl for the Tussle? Amazing....
Dad of 3,
Thanks for the info. I think both Graves and Campbell, along with some other guys like Dunlap, will be getting some offers after next year's season ends.
Huckster!!!!!!!!,
I love it baby!!!
Yes, when I found out that Bingo was an HS kid I was taken aback a little, and I have no idea why he decided to come to Muir (BTW $20 says he lived in Muir's district from the jump anyway.) He performed quite well with us and after beating the dogs last November I'm sure he is now a full-fledged Stang. Yet, you claim it to be merely "talk" that the kids who couldn't compete at Muir went to phs. Talk? Bro, that was the reality. Actually, it still happens, but instead of choosing HS they choose schools outside the district.
You say that "over" 10 players have left phs to go to Muir? 10? Come on bro, that is funny!!! Please name 5...right now...come on....name 5. Exactly. You can't. But let's say hypothetically you could. Does that mean that the Muir coaches take phs's trash and turn them into treasures? Is their coaching staff that much better than the dogs? Either way, it sucks for the dogs, and the Stangs win again. I know Huck...it sucks...it really, really sucks.
Oh, before my peoples “Stang Fan” gets one of his good rants in, I have to point this out to back up my last post. Muir’s QB (Ruben Thomas) was a PHS product and he ended up a Muir for various reason that don’t need to be discussed. The talk used to be if you can’t play at Muir you need to go to PHS, but it’s the other way around now. I’m personal good friends with Muir’s coaches and they try to get our kids all the time. There were over 10 players that left PHS to go to Muir and play ball and a lot of it has to do with commitment. I’ll wait for my boys rant and I’ll follow up! Oh, you I’m ready!
Burbanksports,
I really believe that game will be the inside track for the league title. I can go for Burroughs being favored by 6, but I don’t think yawl will beat the Dogs this year. I’m a big time “HOMER” but I’m telling you, the Dogs have a great team this year. If my brother puts “La Flore” at QB I see them have a fantastic season. We lost a lot of skilled guys from last year’s team, but our O-line will be BIG and tremendous. The D-line with them hungry youngsters will be fast and physical. We have two sophomore QB’s that will be good back ups too.
See Burbanksport,
Since we have a coach from our city of Pasadena and knows all these kids along with their parents our team is stacked now! Believe it or not we got better players than the team from the other side of town. I know, I know, we’ve been losing for a while, but it’s deceiving and were losing from past ghost, which are being exorcised! That’s why I can’t wait for this season to start, because I truly believe the Pasadena High School Bulldogs will win the Pacific out right!
One more thing Burbanksport,
Where do the players from your city play “City College” ball? I look forward to Blogging this year.
Huckster-
Burroughs by 6 over your dogs.
Stang Fan-
The other Muir guy was Myles Campbell. Brandon Huffman, who is West Coast analyst for Scout told me that Graves looked solid. Although I didn't see him , I guess Mitchell Crockhom from Alhambra was there and did well. In fact Scout's write- up on the combine mentioned this about Dietrich and Crockhom:"One of the players who impressed us the most was 2010 prospect Dietrich Riley from St. Francis in La Canada. Riley can fly and runs crisp routes. He caught just about everything thrown to him. Another 2010 player who stood out was Mitchell Crockhom from Alhambra. His coaches have compared him to former Alhambra receiver Zion Babb, now at Michigan..."
Stang Fan,
what is the status on the former freshman lineman who went Varsity? He must be a force by now, with that V experience behind him.
Does he have the agility to play Fullback?
Dad of 3,
your are right, I was standing right behind Price at the Nike Combine at the "jump" station...my bad
As far as observation areas - that was what was excellent at SC, you could practically stand chest to chest with the athletes, and be right on the field as they worked. Or, you could opt for high ground and see the whole area. It was great for the spectator.
Dan,
We played in basically the same era....if I clipped you back then, I apologize. It took five years for me to learn the "keep your head in front" rule.
Stang Fan,
I can see your point, Muir
always seemed to me to be
the caliber of the top Miramonte & San Antonio schools, I just think Last years Co & S.Hills teams
were stronger at playoff time. South Hills had a very good Eldorado team beat in the semis except their kicker slipped & fell in the mud on a 10 yard field goal try with a few seconds left in the game. Also look what Charter Oak did to Diamond Ranch in their last league game, the score was like 48 to 7.
Oaks Christian & Edison didn't even do that to D.Ranch, I realize that these examples don't mean anything cause comparitive scores are not always reliable, but I think those teams were stronger at seasons end & without the heavy rains on the night of the semis I think it would have been an all SGV finals in the Southwest Div. Just my opinion and I could easily be wrong.
No offense Huckster, but I don't think Pasadena makes the finals in this scenario, quarter finals, maybe the semis, again just another opinion.

Sorry New York, I was out
in left field on trying to
guess your post, although I had similar thoughts about our ex principle combined with the hiring of Maddox, its probably just a matter of time before both schools renew the contract with each other, I hope it happens as it was a competitive series, and it looks like both our schools will have some good teams in the next couple of years.
Speaking of our ex principle, Jim Coombs
really turned West Covina around for the better, He was a family oriented man
and the students were close with him and his kids over here at West Co.
He got there in my daughters freshman year [2000]and each year he was there the SAT scores improved to the point that West Co. became a California distinguished school in 2004 or 05. He and his kids were at every football game and many other school sporting events. I believe our loss is Monrovia's gain with both of these recent hires.
Golden Arm I take your a Temple City fan, didn't know much detail about them except that they were a perennial powerhouse when I played in the 70's. They took our division my senior year, I believe it was Lynwood that they beat in the Eastern conference championship in 1977, but they had won previous titles before that in the 2A and 3A divisions.
A lot going on here...
In regards to Dan's opinion on what would've happened last year if the current divisions were in place I would most certainly disagree. Dan, I think your second post is a little more on target than your first. I can't sit here and say Muir would've definitely beat SH and CO last year. All three teams were pretty good last year and I'm certain they ALL would have been in the semis, and from their it would've been interesting. But there is no way SH and CO were two scores better than the Stangs last year. But hey, all the woulda, coulda, shoulda is out the door now in terms of WSGV vs. ESGV. It should be fun! Semis prediction: Muir vs. Charter Oak, and South Hills vs. Diamond Ranch.
leadbone,
Canyon Springs is not a "much larger school" than phs. Remember, phs has approx. 2500 students. Not sure how many Canyon Springs has but I'm sure it isn't a "much larger school." You know, kind of like how phs has TWICE as many students as Muir.
Monrovia fans,
The Cats will win their first CIF title in this new division in the next 3-4 years. Do you see who is in the Mid-valley? Hey, not MHS' fault...just ask Bishop Amat's baseball team.
Dad of 3,
I really enjoy your posts... it's our side's version of the SGV scouting guru sans the pomp. ANyhow, glad to see that a couple of Stangs were at the combine. Was the other player in attendance Thomas, Dunlap, or Campbell? Last year I heard that Thomas did really well at the B2G camp.
Huckster,
My favorite blogger! I see you ventured over to the east side to shake it up a little bit. I love it!!! I think it's time more of us do the same, it'll only intensify the WSGV/ESGV rivalry. As usual, I didn't agree with everything you wrote, but I still loved it!
Goldenarm-
You may be confusing Sheldon Price of BA with Seals. Price is really skinny. Seals is 6'0" or 6'1" , 190. He plays LB for Amat but is projected as a Safety in college.
Dad of 3,
Thanks...Seals is a skinny dude, but apparently tough so they say. 42 inch vertical is awesome, it looked like 35 vert at the Nike...even wearing a weight vest!
Appreciate the news
Goldenarm-
I was at the Scout Combine for a while but left at noon. It was hard to see all the guys from where they made observers watch in the morning. Golper was there but didn't test or compete because he had a bad cold and had sprained his ankle in practice the day before. He was in a UCLA sweatshirt and talking to a number of guys with UCLA offers. I understand Dietrich Riley ran a 4.6 40 and did well in the vertical and broad jump.I didn't stay for the positional drills so I don't know how he did. There were two guys there from Muir, Graves and someone else whose name I didn't catch. Golper was talking to them. Brent Seals from Bishop Amat had a 42" vert leap . Not much else to report from a SGV persepctive that I am aware of. Sorry.
I’m ready for the season! We’re not like the Dogs of old, because we’re stacked! My grammar and spelling is what it is, but my point gets across to you nice fellows……I’m a DOG FO LIFE!!!!!!!
I'm with Goldenarm. Somebody let the Dawgs out over there on the ESGV blog! The spell check suggestion was typical. Haha!
Huckster!!!!!!
I read your post on the Trib blog - tonight I drink a 40 in your honor, and wish the best for the Dogs this season.
If you notice, bloggers over there attack your spelling...AND NOT the meat of what you said. I am not sure if the Amat crowd is ready for the Huck, but who gives a shi%*^%. They are in need of a dose.
Dad of 3,
If you were able to catch the Scout Combine in Carson...please post your observations.
I know area QB's were supposed to attend..
I am anxious too.
This season seems to me to have more unknowns than usual, more "are they going to be any good" questions. Sometimes you know who will be good, BUT just not HOW good.
My comments center on the RHL, which this year is a no mans land of prediction. You could use tradition and generalities to predict who will rise to the top...but that is hardly an accurate or precision way to look at it. Usually before September you get a feel for how it could be...this year I have no clue and don't mind admitting it.
Passing league success in my opinion should not lead to optimism that you will kick AS@ come war time. It has benefits, but assumptions of "we are bad dudes"...bad idea.
June and July are crucial coaching months - where coaches teach and begin to see who will fit in where. It is already getting intense - I believe the kids need the mandated 30 day break - come back fresh and ready to rock.
I think “PHS” would have played South Hills, Muir or Charter Oaks in the finials last year under this current system. I went to see Charter Oaks play and they were pretty good, but what we were good at they were really weak at and I’m talking about the secondary. I didn’t see South Hills, but I heard they were a good team. I think Pasadena’s offence was to powerful for the current division set and would have beaten Muir in the finials. I always have to get that in there! It’s going to happen this year! I’m telling you people of the “BLOG”! The Dogs are going to be really, really good this year and I’m not talking from the heart! I’m anxious to get this thing going!!!!!!!!!!!
I’M BACK HUCKSTER!!!!!!!
Dan,
I was referring to renewing the contract of the Monrovia vs. West Covina matchup. I'm sure coaching at Monrovia will be enticing for most coaches to stick around. If anything, I would anticipate a move toward South Hills if Bogan ever retires, since that is Maddox's alma mater.
With West Covina's former Principal as Monrovia's current Assistant Superintendant and his recent hiring of Coach Maddox, I anticipate and look forward to getting West Covina back on the schedule.
apologies for the hideous grammar
Dan,
Monrovia has a good list of strong Varsity returnees, a JV team that was 19-1 and talent coming up from the lower levels as usual. Rumor has it morale is running high in spring sessions...while others worry about who LEFT the team..the kids as usual just know it is time to go to work.
I would expect the Wildcats to be primed early and represent the SGV well. If Maddox is able to quickly build a defensive crew who believes in themselves, look out RHL.....and beyond.
Anything can happen on the field Scott so there is always the possibility
that an upset could have happened, and the Pacific league schools certainly have the talent, I still
think it would be an upset though, South Hills, & Charter Oak were very good teams last year. I will say this though, I think year in and year out the top teams in the Pacific league are on par or very close with the top Miramonte & San Antonio schools, this division will bring some great East SGV vs West SGV match ups in the playoffs, you also can't forget about Sante Fe from the Del Rio, and 2 years ago Schurr beat a good La Habra program in the semis and eventually took CIF. To bad Monrovia wasn't in the division, they have their undefeated freshmen programs coming up to varsity, I got a feeling they might see a CIF title in the near future.
New York, your post didn't come out completely, was your comment going to be
"I wonder how soon until Maddox quits, and renews his contract with West Co? " Anywys I think Maggiore will be there
for a while as it looks like he is building a good program at West Co, these past couple of years they have had great spring training turnouts with over 150 kids turning out this year and last year,
that wasn't happening before so the interest is on the rise at West Co.
With the talent you get at Monrovia, I think Maddox will be there a while if he is succesful.
I did not mean to suggest that the semis are the best those teams could have done, just that it is very likely they would have each at least been second round and one of the two to the semis for sure. These next few years in the new divisions should be fun.
Dan, I wonder how soon until Maddox and renews the West Covina contract.
Did you see Pasadena or Muir play last year? Muir beat Arcadia which beat a healty St. Francis, which should have beaten St. Paul despite all their injuries. And many teams had trouble with Pasadena's defense. Not sure SH or CO could've beaten Muir or Arcadia for sure.
As for how Muir & Pasadena
would have fared in this new division with last year's teams I think New York has it right Scott.
At best maybe a quarter
finals or semi finals apperance, but both South Hills & Charter Oak would have beat any Pacific league team, I'd say by at least 2 scores.
Dad of 3,
thanks !
I had planned to go - can't make Saturday though.
appreciate the heads up
Goldenarm-
OT .Hope you read this in time. A heads up . They moved the time up for the Scout Combine at Home Depot this Saturday: 9-11 am for testing and 11-1 for drills. No longer 11-3 for event.
Scott
when is the all star game for football? Thanks
New York you are correct, it was to go to the semi's. The key was they played a much larger school in canyon springs(moreno valley). With the new set-up Pacific League schools should dominate!!! The Miramonte league schools and the league champs from the Del Rio and San Antonio leagues will compete here. The Almont league will be outclassed from the start.
One other thing, there will be no at-large bids for the playoffs in the southeast division, with the pacific league getting four entries and all other leagues getting three.
leadbone,
I thought PHS was a two pointer (or if they had taken the earlier field goal) away from going to the semis, not to the finals.
goteamgo,
The Los Padres league should feel upset about the commute. They are the league that is seemingly out of place. This is the division the Rio Hondo was in a few years ago, less some of the powerhouses who got bumped up.
There have been 13 champions as long as I can remember, so nothing's change except for the names.
PHS was a dropped extra point away from a section final. As hot as they were, they would have won the 'ship with the current set-up. NO DOUBT!
so there will be 13 CIF champions? that is ridiculous
The "playoff divisions are more localized"????? Take a look at the Northwest division - it stretches from San Pedro to Templeton (north of San Luis Obispo), a distance of 230 miles!!!!!
What was the CIF smoking when they set up that division?? I hope they subsidize the teams for gas money come playoff time.
I am a big fan of playing teams from outside the area too, especially now that the playoff divisions are more localized. However, a 15 mile radius (as the crow flies) can capture some good competition for most teams. However, mapquest shows that it is roughly a 25 mile drive from St Francis to Bishop Amat (by helicopter it's probably closer to 15-20 miles...)
Maybe the schools need to start hedging their fuel costs.
I had put a post up a while ago regarding some districts actually wanting to limit road trips to 10-15 miles, or something rediculous like that. I put Muir's schedule and will post more when I get them.
SG,
Is there anything out there resembling a Passing League schedule for local area teams?
I wonder how long before a fuel surcharge, travel distance limitation or some bureaucratic obstacle is placed before teams looking to test the waters outside the SGV?
PurdueAlum05, the reason is that the Montview League has seven teams. Five or six-team leagues get three entries, seven and beyond get four. The Mission League (four teams), for example, gets just two teams. All the other leagues have three entries. Hope that helps.
Scott,
Thanks for the info! Do you or anyone else know why the Montview League gets 4 entries in the Mid-Valley Division?
I think with what it had last year, Muir would've been favored to win it all if the divisions were how they're going to be. South Hills would've been the toughest team. And i'm not sure how many schools from the new leagues had the horses to stop Pasadena. Heck, Arcadia could've reached the semis last season.
Muir probably would have made it past the first round. They would have played a third place team, as they did with Cajon, but probably would have beaten them. Second round typically starts matching legite teams so it is a tough call beyond that with Muir or PHS. But for local pride sake, lets say they both could have cracked the semis last year.
Thanks ,SG
