Marcus Thompson, Arness Ikner, John Patton, Trump Harrison, Devin Fuller, Austin Daniels, T. Crockum, Daveon Samuels, Ahmere Owens,Tre Walls, and maybe Reinaldo Reyes will be playing in the Army Strong Fiesta Bowl
Sat. June 28th at 4pm at L.A. Wilson HS and it is L.A. City Section vs C.I.F.

p.s these guys are on the roster

Unofficial "other" ALL STAR GAME info,

L.A Army Strong Fiesta Bowl
Sat. June 28th 4pm
L.A. Wilson HS
L.A. City vs Southern Section

This is from "Long Bomb Shawn" - if you can throw it, he can run under it.

Maybe someone can verify if the info is correct.

Stang Fan,
The irony of Dena kids opting out of the Hall Of Fame is that Coach Brownfield is the Godfather of the Hall of Fame Game. I played alongside five Muir guys one year in the game. Too bad it has come to this.

That's a good question MHS. I believe the coaches picked the team. There is another game that has is taking some of our area's top players away from the Hall of Fame game.

Scott,

Where are the kids from small schools??? ie Poly, La Salle, Rio Hondo And only Mark from MHS ? what no love ?

The Stang Fan said:

GA,

Sorry bro, I've got nothing. I was just talking to a buddy of mine about the lack of kids from 'Dena on the Hall of Fame Game roster and he told me about the kids playing in this other game. As soon as I found out though I'll let you know.

Stang Fan,

any info on the other game?
Where/when?

Goldenarm said:

If not Allen, it would have been nice to see Joe Reasner. They were 1,2 in tackles last year in the RHL I believe...and he fits the SG Valley profile

The Stang Fan said:

Rumor has it that a bunch of players from the Pasadena teams elected to play in a different all-star game that's being played the day before or after the Hall of Fame game. That's why there is only one Muir kid and NO players from phs or Blair.

That's too bad because all of the talent from those three teams this year REALLY could've made a BIG difference in this year's game. Marcus THompson, Arness Ikner, John Patton, Trump Harrison, Devin Fuller, Austin Daniels, T. Crockum, Daveon Samuels, Tre, REinaldo Reyes, etc. Too bad...

Thanks spd! That makes sense why David isn't playing but what doesn't is how this game is going away from tradition of just San Gabriel Valley players and allowing teams from the City Section and Glendale and CV to participate. It also doesn't make sense how a single player from Blair is on this team. Devin Fuller, the TE and Horacio(OLDL) should have made this team.
Scott, I know its tough to get players to commit to this game but were there absolutely no other players from our area that didn't want to play in this game?

Only 1 QB for the East squad? West squad looks pretty solid. Hopefully they won't have any late withdraws due to college restrictions like they had last year. I strongly advice both squads to make sure they have a long snapper on the roster. A long snapper for the West squad would have been the difference in last years loss.

And absolutely nobody from Blair??? Who picked the teams?

spd said:

Re David Allen... he did make the team but isn't playing because he is off to Tulane right after graduation.

PurdueAlum05 said:

Scott,
Can you please tell me how David Allen from South Pasadena didn't make this team?

Who will be kicking/punting for the West team?
