This morning I saw the Chinese doing things on the rings that 3 years ago were considered impossible. How the hell can a human lay flat, arms extended side to side, chest down...hanging in mid-air?
So far, I think channel 4 has done a great job.

Miguel,

Perhaps in 2012, you'll be sent to London to cover the games for the Star News....Okay, you can stop laughing.

On a serious note, the IOC votes to get rid of womens softball but continues to have synchronized diving!? What's with that?

sportsfanatic said:

we should talk about why PHS can never beat MUIR in football.

US beating the favored French team in the 4 x 100 swim relay last night by 4/100th of a second...anchor leg dude came from behind and brought it home. Pretty damn spectacular.

Apparently Frenchmen were talkin SH%@* about "smashing" the Americans....adding some motivation.

We should talk about the top players in each postion. From QB,WR,RB,OL,DL,DB
WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I think we should have a blog about who the best defense is in the valley is or at least the top five are

Hey Miguel, I was wondering if the Star News was in need of writers/contributors for this upcoming football season? How would i go about applying if so?

Keep up the good work. Go Bruins!

Freddy was telling me how he might actually stay in and watch the Opening Ceremonies.

What a loser (I kid, I kid).

I'm hoping Team USA wins in men's basketball. Nice start for the U.S. Men's soccer team, beating Japan, 1-0.

You know, people sometimes ask me who would I play for if I was in the Olympics.

Answer: I would suit up for the Red, White and Blue.

This country gave me the opportunity to make something of myself. Sure, I grew up in Mexico but I was raised my entire life in Los Angeles. And I always get goose bumps when I hear the national anthem.

Keeping with a sports theme, how about discussing the Beijing Olympics?

I will be closely watching the team handball events...Ha, J/K.
