Revised: Three more to go ...

| | Comments (6) |

I'm hoping I don't get screwed because I'm new here. Coaches/AD's do return calls, right?

My copy deadline for the football preview tab is Aug. 26 and I'm trying to get the team capsules done by the end of this week. From the 17 team capsules I am in charge of, 14 are done.

That means four coaches/AD's have not returned repeated calls from me and here is the list:

-Bosco Tech

-Flintridge Prep

-La Canada

If you are a coach, athletic director or know either one please have them call me at the office. 626.578.6300 (hit "0" for the operator and ask for Miguel Melendez).

I appreciate the help guys.

JohnM,

We will be covering sports other than football. Obviously, football is king as far as fan base, readers and what not, but I have a lot of experience covering tennis and soccer. Keith Lair here at the Star-News is currently working on the volleyball, water polo and cross country previews, and he'll also cover those sports, too.

Yes, I did hear back from the Blair coach. I interviewed him for about 30 minutes on Monday. Great guy. I'll have more on him and other new coaches soon. I also have the schedule which I'll post when I write my new thread sometime on Wednesday or Thursday. Thanks for checking in sstress.

Miguel,

Have you heard from Blair coaching staff?? Did they fix their schedule?

Miguel, don't hold this against us fans of LC... the administration doesn't really care about the program

Miguel, welcome to the area.

Will the Star News be covering anything other than Football this fall?

Miguel,
la canada is on a dead period so the is no coaches in the football office and the AD don't care about the program enough to call you back its a bad system but hell week starts the 25th you should try again then.
