Cue the song: Why can't we be friends?!?
First thing first, don't forget to bring your sunglasses and sun tan for this year's Turkey Tussle. It'll be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 1 p.m. at the Rose Bowl, of course. I'll have a story in Tuesday's paper about camps opening.

Oh, and then there's this ...
I don't know about you but where I come from these are fighting words.
Just got off the phone with Pasadena coach Kevin Mills. The Bulldogs have five returning starters and despite a young team and an inexperienced quarterback, Mills said:
"I like our chances in the Pacific League. I'm not going to put anybody ahead of us. We have just as good a chance as anybody."
And what about Muir? They return a good group AND beat the Bulldogs in the Turkey Tussle last year.

"(We) gave them the game," responded Mills when asked what happened last year against Muir.

Will Muir get a run for its money? Sounds like Mills is betting on it.

STANG KLLER
@Get'em Dogs
if it wasnt for Muir, no body would know about 'PASADENA'. Check the history books!!! haha... how many CIF titles do you guys have?
Bullfrogs, just remember we have the bell, ring-ding-dong, a ringa-ding-ding-dong!!! I can hear it now. Shhhhhhhh listen....
Just remember stang fans, you will ALWAYS be known as John Muir FROM PASADENA...........
GA,
To answer your question...no those games are on Friday.
Huckster,
You never fail to amuse.....THE ENIRE BLOG!!! Haven't you heard? The phs program is like your computer...they are absolutely "down right now." Yet, I'm sure we'll still hear PLENTY from you in the upcoming weeks. PLENTY!!!!!
Miguel,
Don't worry, you'll soon get used to Mills and his idiocy. Dude is a complete joke! phs will do really well if they come in fourth.
Hey Mills, that wall that was supposed to be filled with Muir's "heads" will stay empty...for yet another year. If I were you I'd just start putting Hoover and Glendale up there. I'm sure the players are TIRED of looking at all that blank space.
LET'S GO STANGS!!!!!!!!!!!
Is DR or Oaks Christian a Sat game? If so, what time is kickoff?
You Muir people are some real "Hum Dingers"! No, way it should have been a game last year, but lady luck kept you bums in it! I think the "Dogs" are going to shut the Mustangs out this year! My computer is down right now, but you'll hear a whole bunch from me in the coming weeks! DOGS HOUSE!!!!!! U MULES!!!!!!
Huckster!!!!!
the turkey tussle is on my birthday and i don't even go to either school but it is going to be one of the best birthdays i've ever had
hopefully the Sat game will give the community a chance to come out and support our young talent. I think this could be a good year for the community to get involved with these programs. Too much love goes to the East San Gabriel Valley teams. But in a way they deserve it, their games are packed with family and alumni. We need to restore Pasadena to glory days. Yes, yes, thats bulldogs included too. As long as they know their place, that is, behind them Stangs!!!
I don't think you fault Mills for being optimistic. In a way they have to be. I mean losing almost every year for the past 11 years can't be good for your health. Again Dawg fans will hope for the win, but as the day draws closer, their light will get dimmer. I was over at the campus yesterday around 6 or so, and you had maybe about 10 guys out there, running drills, all by themselves. Not a coach, a parent, anybody in sight. It seemed as if they called each other up, and said, we are going to do our thing no matter what. Thats dedication. I look forward to the game against Diamond Ranch, and Oak Christian as well. Im sure the stands will be packed for the latter, with all the celebrity offspring on OC. Get there early folks.
Mig, tell Mills the Stangs stay ready. As the old saying goes, "If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready!!!" Lets go!!! STANGS HOUSE!!!
