James Loney hit a grand slam on an 0-2 count in the fifth inning to help lift the Dodgers to a 7-2 victory over the Cubs in Game 1 of the NLDS on Wednesday night at Wrigley Field.
The best-of-3 series continues Thursday and then shifts back Saturday to Chavez Ravine where the Dodgers could clinch the series and move on to the NLCS.
There was so much excitement here in the office. We reporters like peace and quiet when writing our stories but not today. We had the TV nice and loud.
