Turkey Tussle: Throw away records, this one's for pride!

The Bulldogs are 1-8.
So what?
Pasadena has lost 11 straight.
So what?
None of that ever, and I mean EVER, matters when crosstown rivals meet at the end of the season.
Take UCLA three years ago. Nobody thought they'd knock off USC and out of contention for a national championship. But the Bruins did it even when nobody believed in them. The Bruins were the mockery of college football in L.A. But they got it done and UCLA's season was made with that one win.
Know this: Pasadena's season will be its best ever in the last 12 years if they knock off John Muir.
So when people blog that they won't attend the game because they're embarrassed I got this to say to you:
You're no true Pasadena fan.
You don't bleed red and white.
A true bulldog doesn't hide its tail after a fight. He gets up and continues to fight. He keeps barking even if he's getting kicked in the gut.
Keep biting because eventually you'll grab a hold and it is then when you will never want to let go.
True fans stick to their teams in the thick and thin.
And know this: Come Friday, you can bet nobody at Pasadena will care about records.
It's about pride. Don't nobody wants their helmet blown off like in that picture above. When you're getting pushed, push back.
Two teams.
One city.
Winner takes Braggin' Rites because at the end of the day your rival couldn't get one up on you.
And even if Muir makes a deep run in the playoffs, Pasadena fans will always have that one game to defend their trash talk.
And there's that bell, too.

SC sucks????? 6th ranked in the BCS doesnt sound like sucking to me. If ur a Bruin In which Im sure you are, While USC goes to a BCS bowl game, UCLA will be lucky to go to the Myspace bowl game or maybe no bowl game at all

No, I Don't mean that. That grading process was strictlty football compared to the C+ grade Huck gave the Mustangs.
Now, none of the High schools in Pasadena are academic powers, infact pretty embarrasing. Muir is at the bottom, but PHS is very close behind The company that I previously worked tracked education for PUSD and other districts. I love Pasadena, but chose to send my boys to other schools. It's sad for all of us. I have said this for years. "Pasadena is middle class city with INNER CITY schools". We are all losers in that catagory because we all love our city and our kids from all schools. Good Luck to all.

All the stats are closing in on you, Like the linebacker that knocked out Ray Murphy in the 85 tussle. Well, that's for another day. PHS could help the WSGV,Pac League and the city by just getting better. This same verbage never changes from PHS alums; you guys could get a qualified coach or a much more capable assistants, a lot of them. I've coached for years and some of the stupid game time risks that Mills takes are killing them. How many times has he gone on 4th down and long? a lot! field position is key especially when your team is struggling.
Hey,I don't like the MUIR staff that much. A lot of short falls, but PHS makes them look like Lombardi. We will take our C+ team grade, just take care of that PHS team trying to get off "academic probation".HOOFBEATS CAN YOU HEAR THEM?? I can!!
I played in the tussel! The dogs have a couple of problems! 1st of all there play selection is horrible! Next the dogs don't compete! All the emotion of the game we be out the window after the 1st quarter... then they will have to play football! Which the dogs can't do!
If you never played in the "Turkey Tussle" you don't have a clue about the game! Anything can happen and I've seen Muir play and they're not as good as advertise! Out side of "Oaks C" the rest of the opponents are average at best. Oh, being number 1 in the WSGV is an absolute joke! I think every team was down due to a load of seniors graduating across the WSGV. Yeah, Muir had seniors graduate too, but the stats against lesser competition show that Muir is really an average team, more like a “C+”! I’m talking football! This game could go either way, by means of a blow out for Muir or an upset victory for PHS! The “HS” kids have nothing to loose, which could be a psychological advantage or disadvantage and Muir has blew through the Pacific League with the playoffs ahead and they could be a little too relax and could be detrimental to the Stangs! I’M A DOG AND I’M RELENTLESS! LIKE I TOLD THEM KIDS, GO OUT AND LET YA BALLS HANG, PLAY LIKE YO LIFE DEPENDANT ON IT! I SWEAR, IF YOU DO THAT THEM “BUSTERS” ACROSS TOWN WILL FOLD COME PRESSURE TIME!

I wouldnt even bother, the PHS fans supporters or wanna be supporters that are tired of getting that A$$ whipped by muir is just tryin to rile you up and get into the smakc talking which is pointless. 11years in a row. I went to one Turkey Tussle back in I think.....2005 or 2004. I forgot its been so long, but the hype before the game was the real cool. Not going to either one of the schools, but having a few friends that went to Muir. I of course went to muirs side and with the drumline playing like they did how could I not! bUT the point is, PHS doesnt have a chance to upset Muir. I like the point you put about UCLA upsetting USC and messing up their chances for the Nat'l championship. Just like a Bruin to bring up old Sh**. That was a bruin team and this is a bulldog team that wasnt competitive in the league while the stangs were blowing out opponents (except for glendale which I still scratch my head??) but yes Im using the transitivie property.n If Muir is blowing out blank and PHS is losing to blank then put that equation together and you have the 12yr. straight butt whoppin Muir is going to give PHS. It'll be over at halftime plain and simple. PHS fans that said there not going to the game because of embarassment, I understand that one. 11years straight is something hard to cope with. But at the same time wheres your bulldog pride at.

Okay...I quit! First I'm such-and-such's parent. Then I'm a coach. Then I talked to the Huckster at a pop warner game. Now I "plamed" (what the hell does that mean) Mills' face at the 50 yard-line last year! What the f***!!!
Let me just be 100% with you. My cousin started on last year's Muir team and my neighbor's son plays on this year's team. I played at Muir back in the day and some of my buddies know the present-day Muir coaches. Period. That's the ABSOLUTE extent of it. The Huckster has BALLS to come on here and showcase his identity, and I respect that A LOT! It appears that some folks want to claim to know who I am or want me to reveal who I am....sorry, I just don't have the same chutzpah that the Huckster has....it is what it is.
But to hell with all that! All I know is that come this Friday the Stangs will be 9-1 heading into the playoffs after beating the dogsh** out of h.s. And I'm sure the little Stangs will smash the dogs on THursday in the "Chicken Tussle" too.....as ALWAYS!

Muir staff sucks, muir has beat anybody the bullfrogs couldn't beat! Muir beat arcadia by 54 , burbank by 47, cv by 32...... oh yea the most points score was 10. But the coaching staff sucks! To all my cowardly bulldog alumni who are scared to speak up. What has this sorry muir high school done so great to make you so silent. Nothin! I know you're out there reading every blog sitting on your trembling hands. DAMN IT! wake up and let your voices be heard. WE ARE STILL THE PRIDE OF PASADENA. LET THE HORSE MANURE KNOW THAT WE ARE STILL HERE AND WE WILL FIGHT THEM ANYDAY OF THE YEAR. And this is still the dogs house we still run this city. don't let the football fool you. HS FO LIFE
PHS should take a lesson from the way Oregon State beat USC. OSU played great fundamental football. No frills or trick plays. Trick plays take up too much practice time. Instead, make sure your offensive line (H.O.P.)has the best game of their careers and make Muir's vaunted defense earn their reputation. OSU's offensive front beat USC's, even though USC had beaten up a much better offense with Ohio State two weeks before. The last thing PHS needs to do is to spend all week practicing trick plays, rather than solidifying bread & butter as well as special teams. Remember a couple years ago when Mills was dressed in red & white fatigues and the special teams had a complete meltdown??? Giving points away will not help. Avoid running offensive plays that can give the Muir defense any type of additional momentum. Don't run any plays that may lose yards (deep toss plays, reverses, deep drop passes). 4th-and-10 is much easier to deal with than 4th-and-35. 2nd-and-7 is a whole other world than 2nd-and-15. No penalties and no lost yards, don't let punts roll too far, etc, etc.

OC is not the Dogs and they haven't grew up with their rivial or have to hear some of the false bullcrap that has been promoted for this great game! The kids will play their a$$es off on both sides and I just feel like this will be the one game Muir's Willie Youngblood will be missed! I'm talking football! Muir is a big play team that can't put together long drives, which will play to PHS's favor if my Bro don't give up field position. I like our chances, because of both teams coaching situations! I believe that public interest in the Turkey Tussle has diminished because PHS has done so poorly in their season. I will go see my son play on Friday night and therefore not going to go to the TT. However, I have not heard the excitement from the school kids for the TT as in previous years. Besides the way Muir is playing…PHS does not have a chance.
Mills can talk like that on the video all he wants. THE KEY PHRASE is no substance, losers talk and winners walk(walk away with the bell), this is the same in bisiness, politics, sports. Produce first; Mills is selling a bad product full of excuses and and slogans and wants everyone to buy with out looking at the long term sticker price. His coaching tenure was a bad loan with % rates that will have to be paid long after he is gone.
How can mills talk that way in that video, considering his record, especially against Muir?

I know the Huck's Crystal Ball has got some road rage dents on it, but his vision of a PHS victory is as good as it gets.
Muir, (though they did not panic against OC)has 5 turnovers against the Dogs, panics in the 4th and blows it. Man, talk about the fall of civilization.
If the Huck was pacing the sideline with a headset on, he would have the Dogs believing.
I hope PHS practices hard this week and plays fundamental decent football. There is no shame in that, win or lose.
The Stangs need to leave the joint without a single ice bag on anybody's knee and without a taunting tude. Taking the high road may provide that one slice of good karma the Stangs might need unseen - and far down the road...to make them Champions.
