How big is Sumler? No doubt he is good. What's the word with his recruiting?

Williams also does well from an I formation. In fact, he seems more comfortable when we go from the I formation. I am very surprised that we don't really use Williams on Defense. Monrovia historically seems to limit our key offensive guys to playing offense. I guess our coaches always feel that we have enough players to go around.

You are right about Luis "SWEETS" Diaz. He is also a great kid. Kinda scary that he is only a Junior and has been nursing a bad knee.

Why are you hating on golden because hes pulling for M-town. I guess you dont know a kid named humphrey. The kid is a beast in the middle of the line, and he blows up runs up the middle. Our run defense is as good as Rosemeads. The interesting thing that no one pointed out is when sumler was in the game, the cats were keeping it pretty close. It was his back up and those deep passes that were killing the cats in the first meeting. And the turnovers by bueno, it wasnt sumler that killed us, it was our pass defense and mistakes late in the game. So I dont expect to see nothing else but a low scoring game 21-14 14-7 something like that. Its about the supporting cast, making little or no mistakes, in this game.

I do agree with you on Diaz,he'a a monster on both sides of the ball,another reason why Panthers win the CROWN!

One player from Mead who still gets little mention is the DE/TE Diaz.

At DE, the kid has a killer bull rush and gets off the ball big time. You better put a TE/Tackle combo on him or leave the fullback home- if not, look out.

At TE, he is a big target across the middle and can get upfield after the catch. DB's won't enjoy sticking their hat into his biz after the catch either, he is a load!

I'm sure Williams is a great RB and Sumler is also a great back.The difference is, Tra, is if not the same or better on defense.I believe he can be a great D1 strong safety if he decides to buckle down in the classroom.

I sat back and tried to come up with a legitimate argument for both. Then I thought to my self if both players switched teams who would be more productive? The answer is neither. Their styles fit their offenses perfectly. Sumler gives you that "I" back power and burst wereas Williams gives you that slash and dash that is the key in a wing-t offense. So there's no way you can compare the two because their both so talented at what they bring to the table. The good thing is both of those talents will be on display friday. I guess the real question should have been who has the better supporting cast.
