Stay tune for the release of the CIF-Southern Section boys and girls soccer playoff pairings. We'll post the schedule here, but in the meantime give us your thoughts on which team will go deepest. Monrovia? St. Francis? Flintridge Sacred Heart?

Monrovia play's Arroyo Grande which traditionally comes from a very competitive league the Pac 7 relegated this summer from Div IV down to Div V. Monrovia lost a contest with AG this summer, so it should be a match to watch.... I would say that the distance that AG has to travel well play a factor and for the fact the Rio Hondo league is also a very competitive league will play for Monrovia.
Alverno HS from Sierra Madre is seeded #2 in Girls D7 and has a first round bye. The Jaguars will host their first game on 2/24 playing the winner of St. Mathias and Rolling Hills Prep.
Alverno is the ONLY HS in the San Gabriel Valley not listed by Mr. Melendez, Mr. Robledo, the Pasadena Star News and the San Gabriel Valley Tribune on their Prep Sports page online.
Alverno is the D7 #2 seed and has a first round bye...first game 2/24; would rather play this week!
I will have an opinion - once i see who plays who - it is all about the draw
