Baseball: You're going to love this new gadget ....

Look at that, even the Moors are pumped about this.....
Courtesy of Fred J. Robledo who was tipped by fellow blogger Joe Amat, we now have this new feature/gadget to play with thanks to the masterminds at MaxPreps.com. We've grouped together the area teams so you now have area leaders, standings and schedules of your favorite teams at the tip of your hands and only a mouse click away! It is now more imperative than ever that coaches update their schedule/results on MaxPreps so all your information is reflected accurately here. FYI, softball is not available just yet but when it is I'll get it up here, too. Let me know what you think of this new item and how often we should throw it on the blog. Should we make it a weekly item?

Don Lugo is kind of a weak tournament for Monrovia to be in don't you think? Should be a cakewalk.

Don Lugo Tournament? Who is in that who is any good?
BTW The Don Lugo Tournament starts this week.
Looks to be a good one.
Miguel:
I've tried all the browsers and all the widgets and my kid still isn't listed under the leaders. Is it my computer or kid?
Seriously why would anybody used IE other than Firefox?
I've used IE my whole life until my last year at the Register when we got new laptops and were told to only use Firefox. Didn't like it at first but after almost two years I'm used to it. Glad you guys like it. Hopefully the rest of you will make the switch to Firefox. We'll implement the new widget come football season as well.
Installed Firefox and that is a cool feature.
They really have improved this Browser since the last time I used it. I just might stay with it over IE 8. LOL
Updated to IE 8 but no luck... I guess it's FireFox or nothing.
LOL...I was losing my hair just trying to explain it! I use mozilla. I think if you use an old version of internet explorer you might not see it. Try to update your internet browser.
Thanks I thought I was losing it!
I'm a Computer Network Specialist for Chrissakes!!
No boxes here I must not have the web application you are using. under your writing is just blank for me Sorry..
It is on this web page, between the text and the comments, but you only see it with the Firefox browser. Other browsers show nothing at all. That leaves about 4 out of 5 readers in the cold ...
Under my writing in the thread, there is a big blue box that starts with "HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS." Inside that box you will see LEADERBOARDS, LEAGUES, SCHEDULE/RESULTS. Click on any of those and within the box the content will change to whatever you want, whether it's area leaders for at-bat's, strikeouts, etc., or league standings or a team's schedule/results.
Miguel said click on Standings or Leaders but I don't see those links anywhere.
These MP widgets are great. I first saw them on the on the La Salle Varsity Page. They have three of them set up with different combinations of teams to compare.
Is it from this web-page or somrwhere else?
This gadget shows up with the Firefox browser, but not with Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7, nor with Apple's Safari browser, nor with the Opera browser.
Just click on STANDINGS or click on LEADERS and everything will pop up for you on the screen.
Maybe I'm going blind but I can't see where to access your new toy from
Seriously? ... It's the Max Preps widget, giving you leaders, schedules and standings without having to navigate the maxpreps website.
So what's the Gadget?
