Headed over to Orange County to watch Temple City. Two errors proved costly as the Rams fell, 6-1, to Sonora on a hot Tuesday afternoon in the wild card round of the CIF-Southern Section Division IV playoffs. I'll have some more information after I file my story. Those who went to playoff games be sure to report scores here. I'll try to grab some scores as they become available. Just a quick note. While I was at the TC-Sonora game I ran into a former colleague and good friend Damian Calhoun. He was covering the game for The Register. Anyway, the Register also happened to send a videographer, so we'll have whatever video The Register puts together which should include highlights and an interview from the Sonora coach.

i've been training kickboxing with this guy for a while, but how do i know i'm actually learning?
Hi, does anyone know what the difference between Kickboxing and Tai boxing is? I'm confused.
Hello! I just wanted to take the time to make a comment and say I have really enjoyed reading your blog. Thanks for all your work.
thanks for such a great blog, I came accross your blog while surfing the internet for a little the same. But I dont have the same opinion with everything that you have written but then it is your post and up to you what appears. Largely I have found your post thought provoking and well presented.I will mail your post details to some of my contacts as i am confident they will not only want to read this article but check on your blog as you look as if to have your finger on the pulse and can explain things in a comprehensible and motivating way.Well a sufficient amount of the nonsense good luck and keep blogging.
Thank you for this report, I am a advertising student in New york and I discovered this to become extremely helpful.
Baseball Fan, if TC would have gotten South Torrance, they would likely have pitched their best pitcher and not used 2 freshman, their relief pitcher, and then their best [6th & 7th innings to keep it close] thinking they could get by the 4th place LC. When it's one and done you have to play every game like it counts and IF South Torrance would have pitched their #1 [a strong lefty] they most likely would have won. LC tried to give them the game back in the 6th & 7th by using a kid whose arm appears shot from too many curveballs over the past 3-4 years. It took a sophomore to come in and roll a ground ball DP to Eric Smith to wrap it up.
Goldenarm,
The good news is that the baseball players now get to participate in spring football a bit earlier. There is always a silver lining.
It is all about the draw - and going in healthy and prepared
I would have liked to see the Rams hang for a round or two, but......
the video seems to be offline
Jeff Oecshel was a monster for LC today going 4 for 4, pitching a strong 5 innings for the win, and stealing 2 bases. Let's hope the team plays together Thursday as they'll need to against a very strong Anaheim team who was scouting this game.
It seems that TC got a bad draw, they should have gotten the team LC got...looking at the brackets, it does not make any sense, but great job LC on winning and hope all other Rio Hondo League teams do well tis Thursday.

Big Baseball Fanatic, I thought I was going crazy there for a second and posted on the wrong blog until I saw your note about worrying about a violation. :)
Having watched Kilbury for two seasons, I know what he can do when he's healthy. I'd love to see a guy like that pitch out here. He'd fit in well in Albuquerque in my humble opinion.
Hope this isn't a violation..got this off

Freddy, don't forget about Monrovia my friend. Kilbury was out for the entire month of April pitching-wise, but has slowly come back. I think that could be your upset special, Monrovia over Northview.
I like to forget what teams did tournaments over spring break because a lot of coaches use those games to use pitchers that wouldn't otherwise see the light of day, so a win may not be as big as it seems.
Monrovia, and Amat for that matter, know how to clutch up in the playoffs.
Time will tell. Play Ball!!!
Just got a text from Pasadena coach Mike Pirisi:
"PHS lost 11 to 0 in 7 innings got no hit......redlands east valley is the best team we played all year"
Hey, this is a huge step forward for the Bulldogs. Pirisi did an outstanding job.
Thanks pacific fan.
