Keith Lair is off today because he'll have to work Saturday when he covers CIF Track & Field Finals. Here is the schedule for the playoffs. Aha.. great artiecle...
Very useful info. Thank you, looking forward to your feed updates…
Good post, thanks
Ramona Convent score was 13-1 over Capistrano Valley Christian.
Just a comment it would be fair for every Senior in all the high school in the area to have a senior in the all stars because sometimes you have a great player in one team but the rest of the team is not as good so make sure you look at the stats.

Miguel,
When will the All-Area team be announced?
What are the plans for the Private vs. Public Senior All-star game this year?
When will the Coaches and Senior All-stars be announced?
Which CIF games are you and Keith covering today?
Ditto on the LaSalle situation. And because of the division 5 changes this year, look out for the RHL in the playoffs. I think they might be underrated. Although, outside of LaCanada, pitching is suspect in the RHL.
I have to agree about Marnie Hillier as well. Maranantha is hard to read with their domination of a weak league but so-so record against area teams. But, D6 is below them, so they and LaSalle should have a good shot at winning it.
Nice article on the Sommers "sisters" over at Maranatha. My daughter has played with Kimmie and she is a real "force of nature". Not real familiar with Annie but I hear she's FAST.
HOWEVER...How can you write an article about Maranatha "STARS" and not mention MARNIE HILLIER??Probably their best all around player. Killed us with a game winning RBI. A real stud! My kid also has played with her and I'd take her anyday! Former PSN ALL AREA first teamer too.
I like to follow the local girls that I'm familiar with and she has produced all season long against everyone. Take a peek at her stats on Maxpreps!
Gotta go as we play today. I'd settle for a 1-0 game, Chcky!
FYI, makes sense to me. Thanks for the answer and have fun watching.
To answer your question Scott as to what the big difference is for La Salle this year is that they were dropped from Div 4, where they competed against St. Paul, Bishop Amat, and Bishop Montgomery in their league and couldn't make it to the playoffs to, Div 6 where they can compete and win against much smaller schools
Man Chk, I was thinking you would just give winners, but you went all out. Impressive.
What has been the difference in La Salle this season? They've been good the past couple of years, but I thought this was supposed to be a rebuilding year.
Thanks for the updates. I'll be watching from a distance.
Lets see:
D3
Charter Oak 8 Arcadia 4
Flintridge Sacred Heart 2 Arroyo Grande 0
D5
Paraclete 2 Mayfield 1
South Pasadena 5 Hamilton 2
Flintridge Prep 5 Woodcrest Christian 4
Heritage 4 Rio Hondo Prep 1
Alhambra 6 Granite Hills 5
LaCanada over Paraclete/Mayfield winner (even though they already lost to Paraclete)
Temple City 3 Whittier Christian 2
D6
LaSalle wins first round and D6 championship
Campbell Hall 7 Alverno 6
Ramona Convent 10 Capistrano Valley Christian 0
Maranantha wins either
Mission wins either
chkyrslf, who are you picking this year?
why doesn't the division the team in gain any attention. People are so willing to jump on the bandwagons of teams that are in divisions 5 and 6 while they rip on division 3/4 teams. But CIF is an honor and I wish all the teams good luck!
miguel you our to big of homer, Prep,Ploy,Arcadia,Rio Hondo, keppel and Temple City have no chance. This side of town got ripped in the brackets.Alverno, Mayflied, Alhambra and Mission our a coin flip. Good luck to all the teams.
