Football: Arcadia’s stadium at a glance …

Arcadia’s stadium renovations were completed by the start of the Apaches’ Pacific League season. Renovations consisted of new seating and padded seats for season-ticket holders between the 25-yard lines. The visitor’s side also is new and can seat 1,500 fans. The home side seats 3,500. Arcadia athletic director Ryan Press said site management will be run by Monrovia. Parking can be found on Duarte Avenue next to the tennis courts. The parking lot behind the home stands will not be available.

Come on, I know that the Monrovia vs Whittier Christian game is the big event this week but really, the last 11 blogs youve put up are about Monrovia. How about blogs on what the concession will be selling, where you can get souvenirs, if someone stubs their toe. You do realize theres basketball and soccer games going on. Even Freddy is posting blogs on basketball and soccer. As much as I love high school football Ill really be glad when this game is over and yes Ill be at Arcadia Sat night rooting for Whittier Christian to take the championship.

This is the biggest event happening in West SGV. What else is he supposed to write about? Are you a monrovia Hater? If your school was in the finals, then you would not care if there were 20 blogs. Don’t hate about what’s on the blog. After Saturday We will want to read about Basketball and Soccer. Monrovia has a great Gym, and looking to have a great year in BBall. But right now its football title time! Go Wildcats.

  • Arcadia Resident

I am really thankful that our bond money and construction management are going better than Monrovia’s. Best of luck to the Wildcats!

I did the exact same thing when Maranatha’s baseball team won the title a few years ago, and did the exact same thing during Pasadena’s run-up to the CIF finals last year in basketball. It’s championship week.

    Ouch. Good Job, Miguel

To be quite frank, I think most of the bloggers will want to continue discussing football the entire year. Of course, that is only based on every year this blog has been running.

  • Anon2

    Great riposte, Miguel –

If Maranatha was still playing all we would hear is “the coverage is not enough” “where is the coverage?” “we get no love” etc.

  • Observantcat

I think Tom S. is a LaSalle fan, but either way the longer you stay in the mix the more that will be writter about you. The season is not completly over yet. If your thing is Basketball or Soccer then stick around another week and you opportunity to read about all the basketball & soccer teams in the area will become abundant. Get ready for Pasadena Bulldogs…Pasadena Bulldogs….Pasadena Bulldogs..get it.

Nope, Tom S is longtime Maranatha fan. Maranatha fans get real upset when the topic isn’t Maranatha.

  • Observantcat

Thanks Anon. We wont go there, I just had to laugh. He’ll have plenty to be thankful for next season.

MM, Dude it’s all good even though excessive.
To all you Cat fans, WC 35 Monrovia 28

  • kiddin me

you kiddin’ me miguel. arcadia boys cross country just won the freaken national championship and is in the discussion for greatest team in national history. the small sports get all of a 3 sentence write up, thanks.

nike sure does invest a lot of money in them for being such a small sport. why dont you contact ahs ad and find out when the party is

  • Just Me

Call Tom S a homer if you want to, but he does speak the truth. For every two stories on the football game between TWO East San Gabriel teams in Bonita and West Covina there is at least one for another topic. Out of Miguels last 15 topics 14 are on the game and 1 is on another topic in South Pasadenas coach resigning. It doesnt matter if he did that for baseball, there were no sports to cover in the summer so you cant compare that. He is wrong in the way he covers the end of the winter season too. Pump up the game, cover it well, but dont neglect the other sports. Multi tasking and covering multiple sports is a tough thing to do. National Champions and not a sniff! Sure a lot of people do not follow CC but the parents, kids, and community of Arcadia sure are proud and they would love a mention for their scrap books. This is the height of basketball and soccer tournament time and no mention of how the first two weeks are going. Not even a topic on the Dogs and the Rose City Classic! He speaks the truth. Good luck to the Cats and Heralds, should be a great game!!
