WOW Football Fan 42-17 maybe I should scalp my tickets and stay home and watch the MV Servite game on TV ! Monrovia is a scoring machine for sure putting up 475 points to WC's 459 BUT WAIT! Didja know...... 291 of those 475 (That's over half) points were scored on teams with win-loss records of 2-8, 3-7, 3-7, 4-7, 5-5, 5-5, 5-6, 5-6, respectively !!! That's 8 of their 11 wins came against teams with losing or one game above 500 records. WC played 5 teams that made it to the CIF play offs!!
But on any given night, a bad bounce, a fumble, a foot short, and it's anybody's win.
I think I will just hold onto those tickets, and may the best team win.

Monrovia 42 Whittier Christian 17 Blowout Leave By Halftime WC Fans

In High School football you can't just compare teams to their previous year... Always talent leaving and coming... Some schools are more blessed then others and are able to perform well year after year. Also someone brought up Riley never won a championship so Bueno won't... on Riley's Defense he plays in a division with A LOT MORE talent so one player can't be as effective. Bueno is no joke tho, he led his team last year to the championship and again this year with help from his entire team. Can't say anything about WC haven't ever seen them play but it sounds like a great match-up. I hope everyone in the SGV comes to the game and support regardless of what school you root for. Good luck to both teams hope they leave it all out on the gridiron.

As has been pointed out, football is a team sport. The Wildcat TEAM will show up, ready to play. The 'Cats have individual stars, but you wil remember that even the 2s or 3s played a lot in the blowouts and the 2s or 3s did quite well.
The 'Cat's could have scored more points and humiliated opponents. However, that's not Wildcat football. Wildcat football is 11 guys doing the best they can on each and every play. The 'star' is the guy who the other 10 guys sprung loose.

These Teams are so evenly match its not funny. Who is gonna win. If you look at each teams road to the finals, Monrovia played a tough Non league schedule and Whitter Christian played a tough league schedule. In the playoffs Whittier Christian play a tougher 3 teams, but Monrovia took out the defending champ at home. Whittier Christian Scores alot of points, But they also give up alot of points. Monrovia on the other hand does not give up alot of points. They showed how dominating they can be in rout against San Dimas. Monrovia will win this game because they have more threats! Whittier Christian has not play one team this year, with speed Monrovia has on the outside. NO, Covina does not have the speed or Size Monrovia has. It will be tough for Monrovia to run, but they will be able to get behind the Whittier Christian Secondary. If Bueno can find them, this one won't be close. However, Monrovia has not seen a dominating Dline with Worthy and Company. This one lines up to a great one! We will see Saturday

Monrovia will be ready this Saturday. If they play the game with the compassion and confidence that has been instilled in each and every one of them then they will take control early and give this game a monster finish. As for thefooballjunkie, RIley never made it to the finals so changing the subject isn't going to make Super Bueno go away. This kid is leading his team in his senior year to A Championship game and with his sheer determination will be the difference maker...I'm 150% in belief of that.

Why does everyone keep saying all Whitter Christian has to do is stop Bueno? Monrovia gets all the way to the chanmpionship with just one player. I recall last week, Blanco rushing for 178, I remember Henderson catching for 150, I remember all of the Monrovia WR having over 50 yards. I remember Monrovia holding the Defending champs to just 14 points! Stop with all the nonsense. The Question is has Whittier Christian seed a Defense like Monrovias? Whittier Christian has given up at least 21 points in its last 6 or 7, Some games even 40 points. Monrovia has not given up 40pts since 1993 or something. If Monrovia plays like they played last( Which they will), it won't be close
