I think the LC score was 61-60 over Palm Springs.

Good enough, diploma. We’re going with 61-60. See how easy this be?

    What was Pasadena Poly score?

  • Sam Anon

    Buckley beat Maranatha 56-53.

  • roflcats

poly got spanked by almost 30 points against a sierra canyon team that only beat prep by 2 in the regular season. check maxpreps 🙂

  • joke

Prep is the joke, every football, basketball and whatever season they say if they beat them then we beat the other guy and therefore we are the greatest.

SCHEDULE the hard teams and beat them! Prep in a real game would destroy you, in football you recall that 5 years ago you beat Maranatha, times change and you never schedule the big dogs.

And quit crying you are so small, I heard Buckley has 300 students, they are just that good.

    Suck it, poly!

Congratulations to always classy Flintridge Prep from a Poly student. Your boys team will represent the Prep League well in the finals. I trust you’ll be thinking good thoughts for our girls team.

Looking forward to baseball season. Remind me: when was the last time Flintridge beat Poly in baseball?

  • JM

Yo, Poly whiners…Prep is there and you’re not…CASE CLOSED and “wait till next year”

Great local match up in the finals should be a good one.

  • FPR

joke: Need some Poly-Prep CIF Finals face to face history?

The last time the two me was in the CIF Football Finals at South Pas in 2003…Prep 13, Poly 9.

Go on and on about baseball, chess and whatever else Poly “dominates” in the regular season but the Panther collars seem to get a bit tight when they meet the Rebels in post season play.

  • prepfan2

Are you talking about Poly-Prep football. Here are the results since the two have played 11-man football:

    2010 42-7 Poly
    2009 14-7 Poly
    2008 28-14 Poly
    2007 54-0 Flintridge
    2006 42-0 Poly
    2005 41-7 Poly
    2004 35-0 Poly
    2003 17-10 Flintridge (finals)
    2003 28-14 Poly
    2002 38-13 Poly
    2001 29-26 Flintridge
    2000 17-6 Poly
    1999 26-0 Poly (playoffs)
    1999 21-7 Poly
    1998 6-0 Poly
    1997 14-3 Flintridge
    1996 12-7 Poly

So, that’s Poly with 13 wins, Flintridge with 4. As for this comment:

“Go on and on about baseball, chess and whatever else Poly “dominates” in the regular season but the Panther collars seem to get a bit tight when they meet the Rebels in post season play.”

Wait, so Flintridge fans think baseball and chess are equivalent sports? The schools have met exactly twice in postseason in football with each winning once.

But your boys basketball team is great and we wish them the best in the finals.

prepfan2…it wouldn’t matter if Poly had won ALL of the football games you listed except the 2003 CIF Final because that’s the only one that will be remembered.

And if you’re a real Poly supporter don’t patronize Prep by wishing them luck in basketball. You’re either a lousy supporter or insincere or both. You hope they lose…why not just admit it?
