RANCHO FAN-
Shut up.. You are on here ranting about how good you're squad is. Why can't you just let them prove it on Friday night? No one wants to hear what you have to say. You think you know about Muir, when in all reality you don't. All this talking you're doing isn't going to help Rancho on Friday. And one more thing. Muir is a very athletic team. I wouldn't be surprised if Muir wins this game. They are a very good team. The only problem with Muir is they commit too many penalties. If they can minimize the mistakes that will put up a fight. Take it to the bank.
RHP vs Kilpatrick is on Thursday at 7:30 at RHP.
In-N-Out Classic? Never. I think that Santa Anita Bowl makes much better sense. There are a lot of streets that connect Monrovia and Arcadia, but the most famous for that area is Santa Anita, so it just makes better sense.
MM - you saw a real vanilla offense from SM last week werent remotely threatened by Eagle Rock the game was well in hand at half 24-0 and they simply took the foot off the gas pedal. Defensively we were not challenge so La Salle may cause a few problems but I see no reason why the end result wont be any different than last year. Maybe just a closer score
what about the "MAD" bowl? that was the name of the highschool here when monrovia, arcadia and duarte shared one high school back in the fourties. or the "rancho santa anita bowl", since these two cities were once part of it along time ago.
RANCHO FAN
i can guarantee you that Muir will not get blown out, only way that does happen is because Muir caused by penalties. and their d1 talent is legit just ask a few Rancho players that know them. And Rancho just like most of these top schools they don't win by talent they win by good coaching schemes.
This pic is ludacris.Muir doesn't have a chance in hell against Rancho Cucamonga high school. This game will be a blow out just like the other two schools the cougs have played.Muir has so called division 1 talent so when the defense from rancho shuts them down what does that mean for their defensive players. Guess they will be recruited by pac 12 as well.Muir will need to go get trumphet from pcc and bring bac the mcculloughs hell even teh great Coach Crutchfield couldn't dig them out of this butt whoppin.BULLETIN BOARD MATERIAL...
progress
im not a Muir fan but i do know a lot about them but you forgot about
SMU interested in Denzel talifero LB/fb led team in tackle as a sophmore last year
6-2 215 Jr. RB/Lb tyshaun idk his last name but he already has 2 rushing td's in just 8-10 carries
6-2 185 Jr Lamar Mcdaniels off the end is a major problem.
and Mark Samuels 6-1 190 Olb. Muir is loaded with talent even after losing Tyquan Glass which is a big lost Muir still looks Good minus the penalties. those players are actually key players and not just random names. but i do agree them and Monrovia are neck to neck in talent
That's right. License the naming rights and turn it into a fundraiser for both schools.
How about the MonArc Classic. Winner gets to use their name first each year this events is won. For example if Arcadia wins we call it the ArcMon Classic.
In N Out would have to sponsor it for that name
The corner of Santa Anita and Colorado is a good place to start. Santa Anita leads to Arcadia and Colorado to Monrovia, so how about the battle for the Santacolo Cup or the Santarado Showdown. Just a thought .....
Todd is onto something. PLUS, the schools really should solicit In-N-Out for some money. Like the "Dr. Pepper Big 12 Championship." The schools should absolutely raise money through In-N-Out's sponsorship for this game, which has turned into a great rivalry.
In and Out Classic should be the name...Monrovia and Arcadia used to merge there after games, Parties, and on weekends in the 90's. Lots of fights, went down in that parking lot. Maybe the star news can get in and out to sponsor a trophy, The "Double Double" Trophy.
As odd as the In-N-Out Classic sounds, it actually has meaning. I know that after games, typically you will find most kids meeting up at the In-N-Out on Santa Anita Ave. after games. Many times, Arcadia/Monrovia athletes would clash because it is a midpoint between both the HS's and many of the kids from the schools know one another. It was a perception of who's "turf" it was at In-N-out just three or four years ago after games and especially after my Junior and Senior seasons after beating Monrovia, we felt that the In-N-Out was ours. I'm sure Monrovia has felt the same for the last couple of years.
I'm going to guess it is the same way now as it was then.
I think it would add an interesting twist to the game.
Best of luck to both teams. No Apaches Down!
I am not sure, Muir has the Most talent in this area...I got to say Monrovia, is right there too. Besides, I think this years Monrovia team would be in the Finals in the southeast. No disrespect to Muir, Arcadia, Bonita, and West Covina, but after Monrovia pounds Arcadia, a team who may win the Pacific and go deep in southeast...it will be evident.
Muir
Kevon Seymour Sr-Best skill player in the valley. Just a stud.
Tarien Owens SR-D1 Running back/great speed and fluidity
Holmes Frosh-great genes, stud as a freshman, will be a D1 player.
Washington jr- Has the Size to play in College...Needs to have a big year.
Monrovia
Ellis McCarthy Sr. DL/TE-Best player in SGV, top 5 in California
De'Shawn Ramirez sr ATH -Won't go D1 because, of missing year, but on the field, as good as anyone you'll find anywhere.
George Frazier jr QB/LB -All State LB as Soph, will Be D1
Anthony Craft jr WR/DB-Emerging as a D1 Prospect, needs to follow in the steps of players like "Seymour".
Luke William Sr 6'3 200lbs WR...Will get a offer from D1AA maybe better.
Issac Miravet jr - 6'3 275 OL/DL jr has great size, will be recruited.
Your right miguel. Ranchos way to big and strong for muir and with all those penalties they are going to beat muir up. Muir has more talent top to bottom than any of the schools out here and its always wasted. If you give muir coach maddox from monrovia they would win a lot of southeast championships. Dont even get me started on coach howard.
Ok Miguel, well just have to wait and see. I'm a bit up in the air about Muir as well but so far so good. If they have been maintaining that type of consistency with all of those penalties and play a much smarter game then I will give them the edge.
O'Cat: I'm pretty confident with my picks this week. Rancho Cucamonga may be too strong for Muir, a team that still has problems with penalties, silly ones at that.
I saw San Marino last week. Wasn't overly impressed. La Salle's offense is a sleeping bear, once awakened watch out! San Gabriel's better than people think, and it'll finally show against San Dimas.
???: As for Muir, yes, it seems like the Mustangs will likely move to the No. 1 spot, at worse a few spots above their current placing. That's just how the polls seem to work. A loss to Rancho, however, would drop them, too.
Miguel since all the top 4 teams in the southeast cif poll lost and muir was #5 does that mean they'll be #1? Well rancho will beatem anyway and they'll go back down.
Miguel, let me stop you from the bleeding before you need a transfusion. Your picks are not the norm. Take my suggestions on this one as well otherwise Fred and Aram will look at you as little brother at the end of the season.
Changes you need to make in your selections.
Rancho Cucamonga vs. Muir - Muir ( They finally found a way to stop their opponents as well as score on them)
La Salle vs. San Marino- San Marino( With Do back in the lineup for San Marino they will not take back seat to a 0-2 LaSalle team that only plays one half of football.
Hoover vs. South Pasadena - South Pasadena ( Defense is going to be the key to this game and everyone knows that Hoover has not ever proven that they can top an offensive minded team in regards to playing both sides of the ball.)
San Dimas vs. San Gabriel - San Dimas ( As much as we Monrovians do not like the sound of San anything I believe that San Dimas has more offensive firepower to withstand the likes of San Gabriel. It will be a battle of wills but SD comes out ahead)
The rest we can agree on. But do take heed to my picks.
Being that the schools are pretty much divided by the Santa Anita Race Track you may want to consider names like (Pick 6 Classic) Or the (Santa Anita Bowl). You're a smart guy Miguel you will be able to figure this one out, otherwise take these 2 names into consideration.
