Pasadena doesn’t have one PLAYER that plays DB that can stick KEVON SEYMOUR. Muir will have a field day and win 26-10

  • big mike

hey i expect a high scoring game for Muir LOL Miguel i know your smarter than that Pasadena has absolutely “NO D” but Muir has “NO O” but against Pasadena Muir should finally find a way to get the ball to #1 and 22 if they do that Pasadena has “NO chance”.

  • Kevon Seymour and Tairen Owens will both single handedly win the turkey tussle this year. Who can guard the two and keep them out the endzones?

  • Huckster!!!!!!!

What I’ve notice about the Tussle is that the team with the best QB usually win’s the game. I would honestly be nervous if Muir had an O-line or D-line, but they don’t and Cox will be giving them HELL! If Muir don’t play Kevon at QB they’re getting blown out! Period! Cleo Bates Jr. will have his best game as a BULLDOG too… I know Muir will be playing hard as ever and the DOGS have to know in ending a streak will prove to be difficult, but a job that will be done no doubt! Muir is hoping the DOGS lose, instead of them trying to win….I watch both teams and up front is what will prove to be the victory! BULLDOGS 45 MUIR 28

PLEASE TELL ME THE LAST TIME MUIR LOST THE TUSSLE AND DIDN’T MAKE THE PLAYOFF’S? Now that’s some history I know some Muir people are dreadding, but it’s goning happen this year!!!!!! I wish y’all could see my grin! THE BULLDOGS WILL EAT!EAT!EAT!EAT!EAT!EAT!EAT!!!!

  • big mike

I have an even more dreading question WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU WERE RIGHT ABOUT ANYTHING?

  • PacFan

How about some info on the game? Time/Fees/sides/etc.

  • Mtownclown

who cares about that Ghetto tussle!!! i would be afraid too go….lol….but Muir is gonna win! either way who ever wins and goes to c.i.f is gonna lose in the 1st round …pasadena football schools fold under pressure sp pasadena muir maranatha and dont get me started on blair lol

  • New York

I really hope you are not actually affiliated with Monrovia, not with that remark about a great tradition that is the Turkey Tussle.

Furthermore, Muir might seem to be struggling lately, but they are always a tough out. Look at last year’s victory over heavily favored La Mirada and the year before game against Charter Oak.

  • Mtownclown

im just saying me personally i hear too many bad things about going too that game…and anything too do with a school event shouldnt be like that its sad and too bad….its just like when Monrovia use too play duarte…it just makes no sense…..

  • Sadly he is

Sadly, I’m pretty sure Mtownclown really is a Monrovia fan and I think he’s one of two people that sit in the stands and talk badly about everyone from the coaches to the band. It’s too bad that he doesn’t realize that when he comes on here with his over inflated swagger and makes comments like he does, it just makes Monrovia look bad from top to bottom. Most of us fans support the team and the city in a positive manner. This is the very first time I have ever felt the need to comment on something I’ve read on any of these blogs. I sure wish Mtownclown would get a clue about how to represent our school, city and team. We Monrovians aren’t all like Mtownclown.

  • Mtownclown

you dont have to agree with me…but im just saying The thugs at high school football events its just scary and it should Never Be that way…i know more than a hand full of people who are muir and pasadena alumni but wont goto the tussle because of what i just said

  • FACT1

  • Mtown, you dont know anybody over here the only person that listens or talks to you is the person in the mirror in the morning and that could be scary. How offensive that remark was, you might as well use the other term people like you like to use. The perception about Muir is partly true but 99% of those boys and girls are trying their best and like any other school it has its issues. I travel all over the world and I can tell you that wherever I go people have fond memories of Muir. Absolutely no one knows about Monrovia outside of Southern Cal. My wifes family went to Monrovia and thats it, no big deal, nothing spectacular. We talk about Muir because it has history and a wonderful one at that, and some people are jealous of that, some are glad the perception is bad but many are working hard at getting the pride back. So for people that like to make negative comments, so be it, your just wasting your time and energy on hatred and that is not a good thing for anybody. So being a Mustang-4 Life, and enjoying every minute of it. I will treat all real Monrovia fans and students with respect and say good luck in all that you do.

  • Observantcat

I dont usually embarrass too easily, but Mtownclown has put my remarks on hold simply because of what you display on these blogs. Where did you come from anyway? I have always felt that you were just an impostor trying to stir the pot, but truthfully the POT seems to have you a bit stirred. Most of the Monrovia faithful have class and many times have to avert from fan or bloggers such as yourself. Monrovia can do without the over zealous pretentiousness from your remarks. This is the part of the season to let all the players do the talking and let the fans enjoy what they go to the games to see. You remind me of someone who has an over inflated ego with no place else to deflate it but over the blogs. Speaking of John Muir, i have several friends that have attended that school in which several have achieved way more than a football or sports scholarship. Many of those guys have becomes great lawyers, Doctors, Politicians, and everything else imaginable. Speaking of Ghetto, that is just a state of mind given to those who choose it as their excuse for not looking beyond and knowing they are much much better than those that try and brand them. If I may try and help mend this poor excuse of a Wildcat fan I will do so. Those comments made about the RHL were plain stupid and inexcusable, sure Monrovia has some gifted athletes but so do the other teams we face out program was once looked at as impossible to rebuild, but as you see we have come a long way in achieving what many like you would not have seen coming. Please give the Fans from Monrovia and all the other schools a break and write down what you don’t like about them in your Mtown diary. Enough is Enough.

  • Realist

How can you sit here reppin Monrovia calling the tussle “ghetto?” What is wrong with you. In the past year Monrovia has been far more “ghetto.” I mean after all, it wasnt a football player from Muir that got got stabbed in the neck at a party, or a guy from Muir that was arrested for shooting at two innocent bi standards in Fontana. You should feel like a complete moron after that comment. Do us all a favor and stay off these blogs hypocrite.

  • Huckster!!!!!

    big mike,

I’m due my people! Believe that! I’m due! Muir is hoping PHS will lose the game! I’ll tell you this! It’s not even the PHS kids that I’m worried about it’s the coaches and them not choking at a crucial moment in the game. Are keeping them kids focus at the big task at hand! BULLDOG FANS, know ending a streak can be mentally tough, but we’ll get it done!

Don’t get me started on the retarded, such as yourself! Wasn’t all that killing and gang violence going on in Monrovia and Duarte? It’s every where big dummy! We played the Cat’s 1986 in M-Town and it was shots fired! That hasn’t happen in Dena before! I’m a DOG and I sit on Muir side, to hopefully have that one day to shove it in their faces! If ya scared pray more clown!

  • New York

    Realist and Woanelly,
You dont need to use MTownclown as an opportunity to take potshots at the great city of Monrovia. Especially you, Realist, you tend to be Arcadia’s version of the embrassing MTownclown. Arcadia is great but I doubt that you have anything to do with that greatness. Woanelly, Muir has a proud tradition and so does Monrovia. Please don’t let this jerk make you sink to his level by making baseless claims against my city and school.

I’ve never embraced the use of “M-Town” as synonymous with MONROVIA. Huge difference and fitting that the clown has adopted it.

  • New York,
you got it all wrong, my point is addressed to the clown, so please do not get sensitive on me. I love the city, my family and I go there on Friday nights to the market and street faire, take in pony baseball, shop and all that. I am just stating a fact that my wifes family has stated that they saw no difference in the school there than anywhere else and wherever I go people know Muir mostly from their past and or someone they know, thats all. Go Cats!!! Maybe they will move to the Pacific League, that would be great.

I’ve been going to the Tussle since 1977, never seen a fight, shooting or stabbing. I went to PHS and have alot of friends at Muir, we have NEVER turned it into a hate thing or violence. The PUSD is not one I hold high regards for, but I made it thru. And still feel safe enough to come back with my family and sit on “THE DOGS” side of the bowl every chance I get. I wish Muir well at any other time, EXCEPT when they play my Dogs in any sport. I have much love for the Red & White, and if you’re from PHS and you sit on Muir side during the Tussle……………!!!

    GET’EM DOGS!!!!!!!!!

  • GoingTribal

If you get bored and want to see a real game come down to Arcadia High for the Burbank and Burroughs game on Friday. It’s going to be an invasion of about 10,000 obnoxious Burbank fans. This rivalry has been going on since the 50’s with Burroughs leading the way 40-22. If Burroughs looses it could tip the scales for everybody in the Pacific, a win gives them their 3rd straight title and 4th in 6 years.

  • Champ

I have two tickets to the Tussle. I can not go. I will make them available to anyone who wishes them for free.

A marquis player for Muir (receiver) will be sidelined until the second half for discipline. This will certainly benefit PHS in the first half

  • GrimReaper

There seems to be a lot of heated back and forth on this thread,

But here comes Champ to show some class.

Free tickets with no restrictions, Muir or PHS fan alike.

There is the way to be a good neighbor!

Good luck to Muir and PHS, it will be a big game this year but sorry I have to side with the underdog (Bulldogs) as it has been 16yrs after all.

So in Champ’s spirit I wish Monrovia well, here is to a one seed and a long life in the CIF tournament.
To Golden Arm, I poke fun at you, but you are possibly the most loyal fan around. Good luck to TC.

The Tussle is a classic, and no real classic ever existed without controversy, emotion and deep seated feelings on each side. You can get shot in the Jack in the Box drive thru line, any 405 fwy offramp or in the kitchen of a San Marino mansion. The chances of taking a bullet are no higher at the Rose Bowl.
As a white, 25 year resident of Pasadena, I am not “too scared” to attend the Tussle, and have several times. Expect to hear some profanity and see some people step outside the line of Miss Manners behavior. Expect a larger than usual security presence.
And this year, expect another generation of Pasadena youth to fight their asses off to get the Bell.

One warning though, you might want to avoid carpooling to the event with the Huck.
