The race for the Rio Hondo League crown continues. Temple City (18-3-1, 8-2) was idle today but Monrovia (16-4, 8-2) recorded a solid 7-2 victory over South Pasadena (7-17, 1-10) to tie with the Rams for first place.
La Canada (10-12, 2-8) came off a tough 1-0 loss to Temple City earlier this week but bounced back niceley today with a solid 5-3 win over San Marino (17-7, 7-4), which likely now will finish third in league.
The big drama unfolds next week when Temple City hosts San Marino on Tuesday before wrapping up the season against Monrovia in a game that likely will decide the league champion.
