alhambra just looks hapless right now…I don’t know whether it was just their new coach or some personal in-fighting, but their offense just cannot get it going at all.

Moor Fan, where are you now? silence is golden.

  • SP DAD

BFF just found out there is no JV team. whats going on. not a good sign with player leaving and know no JV. we are going to need all the luck in the world tonight.

  • bigfatfan

SP Dad: not to worry, we are loaded with talent this year, should be very competitive, some say better than last year’s 6-4 team. the problem will be next year, and the year after. very thin jr and soph crops. coach Konrad made the call to move all the soph kids up to varsity and ditch the JV team due to lack of numbers, not many kids returned after a disappointing freshman season (0-10). Freshman class this year has 40 kids out there and is being coached by Fonseca, great guy and motivator, so hopefully most of those kids will return next year so we can restart the JV team. I’m hoping for an impressive effort tonight vs. SG, hope you are too!!

    BIG FAT FAN

You know sp has no chance tonight. SG should win by 30. The refs always keeps it close for you guys. so maybe 20.

  • NO NAME

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE BLOG. I DO READ THEM ALOT FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. I ALWAYS SEE BIGFATFAN ON HERE TALKING ABOUT SOUTH PAS TIGERS. HE SEEMS TO BE THE TIGER INSIDER. I PLAYED FOR SO PAS IN THE 80. I SOME TIMES TALK TO PLAYERS I SEE AROUND TOWN. ALOT OF THEM TALK BAD ABOUT THIS COACH. THE OLD COACH THAT YOU HATE SO MUCH NEVER HAD TO GET RID OF A TEAM. SOMEONE IN THE PAST SAID THAT SO PAS WAS THE NEXT BLAIR. THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN. BUT THEY ARE CLOSER TO BLAIR NOW THEN MONROVIA. BY LOSING A TEAM DOES NOT HELP YOU. AND IT LOOKS LIKE THIS COACH IS THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM. THEY SHOULD OF GOT A COACH THAT KNOWS SOUTH PAS.

  • bigfatfan

SG Dad, lets keep an eye out for those bogus calls that keep the game close tonight.

as for No Name, yes, a coach that knows south pas, and knows how soft the kids are that go to that school. thats just the kind of coach we had for 16 seasons. and what did that get us?? nearly 100 losses for coach smith

  • RHL Fan

Good win for La Canada.. their new uniforms look nice. Looks like Coach Sims is changing things up there.

Alhambra looks like a one man team on offense with Broadus.

  • rhlfan

    other RHL Fan,

The only thing coach sims seems to be changing is the uniform. i’ll reserve judgment for their defense, because Alhambra’s offense is dead in the water, but 17 penalties is atrocious.

  • Girls coach

South pas JV is not finished, I spoke with there coach and they will be fielding a team next week….. Good win for the varsity tonight. Congrats Konrad & my buddy Kenny… Best of luck
