CIF-SS POLLS: Monrovia, Rio Hondo drop, St. Francis in Western top five

This week’s CIF-Southern Section division polls are out, and to no one’s surprise, Monrovia, which opened with a 16-15 setback at Ayala, dropped in the Mid-Valley Division, falling from No. 1 to No. 4. Other notable sightings were St. Francis at No. 4 in the Western and Rio Hondo Prep at No. 3 in the Northeast. Of course, you have to wonder how Muir and Arcadia are still in the top 10 in the Southeast after starting a combined 0-4. Muir has put together a rough schedule, but they haven’t played well either. Arcadia has been outscored 78-17 in two games.
