Keith Lair and I will go head-to-head in the Star-News Pick’em. Here is this week’s predictions along with how we did last week.

Last week: Not a very good for me or Keith, who edged me by one game to tie us up at 30 wins each. I lost my lead after coming on the wrong end of Cathedral beating Pasadena and Rio Hondo prep rebounding with a win over San Diego Parker. I got Keith by picking Heritage Christian over Flintridge Prep. Not too many upsets, although Maranatha losing to Azusa and Glendale’s win over La Canada was surprising.
This Week: There are some spicy games this week, led by Monrovia traveling to San Dimas. This is the sixth meeting between the two Mid-Valley Division schools in the last week, with San Dimas holding a 3-2 edge. Both have a championship game win over the other as well. Also, we have Star-News No. 1 St. Francis traveling to La Mirada, who gave Bishop Amat all it wanted last week, and the private school battle of Pasadena when La Salle, a surprising 3-0, visits Maranatha, also a surprising 0-3.
