It’s Pacific League day at this week’s Pasadena Quarterbacks Club.
The non-profit organization, which helps support local high school and college football programs, welcomes six of the league’s eight coaches, including Muir’s John Harvey, Pasadena’s Randy Horton and Arcadia’s Chris Long, to speak Friday. The weekly luncheon is scheduled for the Courtyard by Marriott, located at 180 North Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena.
Lunch, which is $23 for members and $30 for non-member guests, begins at 11:50 a.m. Doors open at 11:30, with $5 valet parking available at the hotel.

Glendale’s John Tuttle, Hoover’s Andrew Policky and Crescenta Valley’s Paul Schilling are also scheduled to speak.
The Pacific League opens play this week, with the three featured games being Crescenta Valley at Muir, Pasadena at Glendale and Arcadia at Burroughs/Burbank. All are slated for 7p.m on Friday.
Hardy is in his first season at Muir, which struggled with a tough nonleague schedule, losing to Upland (34-6), Alemany (49-12) and Rancho Cucamonga (54-14).
Horton is in his second season at Pasadena, which opened with losses to Alemany (45-8), Cathedral (35-2) and Salesian (35-6).
Long is in his first season at Arcadia, which opened with losses to Rio Hondo Prep (29-7), St. Francis (49-10) and Monrovia (52-17).
Crescenta Valley is 2-1 after defeating La Ca ada, 48-21, last week. Hoover, which lost to Temple City 15-14 last week, is 2-1, with Glendale 1-2.
