Monrovia, Rio are going bowling…Cats will be at home, while Kares hit the road for San Diego

Monrovia and Rio Hondo Prep, which won respective CIF-Southern Section divisional football championships over the weekend, are going bowling.
The area powers were selected for CIF State Regional bowls, scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, when the CIF State office announced pairings on Sunday.
Monrovia (12-2), which beat Paraclete, 23-7, for its third consecutive CIF-SS Mid-Valley title on Friday, will host Madison, of San Diego, in a State Division III matchup at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Warhawks won San Diego Section Division IV, beating St. Augustine, of San Diego, 35-21, on Saturday.
The winner advances to face either Marin Catholic (13-1), of Kentfield, or Sutter (13-0) for the Division III state title at Home Depot Center next weekend.
Rio Hondo Prep (12-1), which won its second consecutive Northeast Division title with a 28-21 victory over Mission Prep, of San Luis Obispo, will face Santa Fe Christian (10-3), of Solana Beach, Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Del Notre High School in San Diego. The Eagles won the CIF-SD Division V title, beating Parker, 31-15.
The winner faces either McClymonds (9-3), of Oakland, or Central Catholic, of Modesto, for the state Division IV title next weekend at Home Depot Center.
