CIF-SS Polls: Monrovia No. 1 in Mid-Valley; Rio Hondo Prep stays at No. 3 in Northeast

This week’s CIF-Southern Section football polls are out, and Monrovia, as expected, is No. 1 in the Mid-Valley. The Wildcats are seeking their fourth consecutive division title, beating No. 2 Paraclete in the final. They open up the season at home against Ayala on Friday. Rio Hondo Prep, which has won back-to-back Northeast Division titles, is No. 3 in that division this week. The Kares opened the season with a 36-6 victory over Brentwood. Muir and St. Francis are also ranked in their respective divisions
