West San Gabriel Valley volleyball Top 10

They’re early into league play (or they’re starting this week); a look at the west valley’s best:
No. 1 La Salle (11-2)

Back-to-back over division’s No. 2 (St. Lucy’s) and No. 8 (FSHA) teams
No. 2 Flintridge Sacred Heart (8-2)
Went down in 4 vs. La Salle, but looked better than St. Lucy’s vs. La Salle
No. 3 South Pasadena (5-1)
Only loss to FSHA; beat Poly in three
No. 4 Pasadena Poly (7-1)
Swept Westridge and beat San Gabriel in own tournament final
No. 5 Mayfield (6-0)
Needed five game to beat Westridge; Poly in a couple of weeks
No. 6 San Gabriel (11-1-1)
Lost to Poly; beat Arcadia in three
No. 7 Gabrielino (11-3)
Appears to be back atop Mission Valley League
No. 8 Arcadia (8-3)
Proved they’re team to reckon with in Pacific with five-game win over Burroughs
No. 9 Westridge (11-3)
Two of the losses to Poly and Mayfield; Tigers better beat at least everyone else in league to get CIF-SS playoff bid because they could do damage there
No. 10 Monrovia (6-5)
Can Wildcats beat La Canada again?

Others to watch:
Alverno (5-7)

Winning some, losing some vs. much bigger schools
St. Monica (6-3-1)
Another CIF-SS State appearance on horizon?
La Canada (3-10)
Spartans are sill dangerous
San Marino (7-6)
Should be in mix for Rio Hondo
