Above: South Pasadena players and cheerleaders celebrate Friday’s victory over La Canada believing they qualified for a playoff berth. They learned later that night the game would be forfeited.
South Pasadena principal Janet Anderson sent an email to parents of the Tigers football team on Monday explaining that she received “evidence” that its football team had committed a violation of the CIF-SS Blue Book Rule 512 that prohibits teams from videotaping or taking still pictures of an opponents practice without consent of the participating school.
Anderson said she received a call from La Canada principal Ian Mcfeat on Thursday informing her of the alleged violation, but it is not clear if the allegation involves South Pasadena head coach Marty Konrad, one of his assistant coaches or Konrad’s brother Nick, who is not a member of the coaching staff.
